THIRTY-THREE

JUNGKOOK stared at Soyeon who kept on looking down and fidgeting with the ears of her bunny, he batted his lashes, before finally opening his mouth,

"What's wrong? Did you fight with mom?" He asked, crossing his legs as he turned to face her on the couch, Soyeon sobbed, making Jungkook freeze in shock,

"She abandoned me, she always leaves me, she doesn't love me."

His eyes batted nervously, as he licked his dry lips. "It's not like that, who told you that your mother doesn't love you?" He asked, smiling.
The girl looked up and raised her brows.

Jungkook reached out to wipe her tears, she hiccuped, "Really?" He nodded, "She loves you, she has done so much for you, she fought with everybody to keep you safe, she took every type of struggle to give you a happy life."

"Someone told me, when you look at your mother, you'll look at the purest love ever." Jungkook said, making the girl raise her brows. "Who?" Jungkook laughed lightly, "Just someone." He said, remembering his father's words.

She looked at her bunny, "Did you ever fight with anyone?" He asked, making her nod. Her nose scrunched up, "I did with Jimin, she tried to tear the drawing I made, her mother scolded me," Her voice cracked, her eyes tearing up again.

Jungkook held back his laugh at Jimin, he grinned,

"But then mom fought with her mother, she said that she'll burn all her hair if she says anything to me."

She said with a smile, Jungkook grinned. "See? She loved you so much that she even fought for you," Soyeon nodded, "But she didn't wash Mr Bunny." She said and shoved the bunny in Jungkook's face.

Jungkook chuckled, "I'll wash it for you." Her eyes lit up with happiness. "Really? Thank you so much!" She said and got up, pecking Jungkook's cheeks.

Jungkook froze in shock, before bursting into a smile.

You bit your lips, glancing back at Taehyung who forced a grin at you. After the date, you decided to come to Jungkook's house, you didn't tell Taehyung about your predictions yet. He grinned and motioned you to go in,

He waved, "I'll be going now." He said and drove off.

You sighed and looked back at the door, "I should just go back, she'll hate m-"

The door opened, making you shot your head up with wide eyes. Jungkook leaned against the door, his head resting against the doorframe as he eyed your form.

"Why are you talking to yourself, people will think you're crazy." You gulped, glancing behind him, "Uh, I'll come back tomor-"

He held your hand before you could run, a smirk on his face. "You decided to ditch your daughter?" Your eyes widened when he pulled you inside.

You looked around, finding Soyeon nowhere. "Where is sh-" He pulled you upstairs, opening the door to his room.

You peeked inside to see Soyeon sleeping peacefully on the bed. You looked back at Jungkook, smiling nervously, "Thank you Mr Jeon."

He sighed and ruffled his hair, "Let's go and sit."

You followed him down, he plopped on the couch and crossed his legs, you sat a good feet away from him, a few memories from yesterday coming into your mind.

"First of all, she cried."

You held his collar, "Did you make her cry?" You asked him with a glare. "No honey, I comforted her." You sighed and sat back on the couch,

"Sorry." You mumbled and stared at your lap, he stared at you, "Don't be. What did you do to make her sad?"

At that moment, you felt so small. "Well," You sighed, "I forgot that I had a date with Taehyung-" He stood up, "Date?!" You flinched and eyed him weirdly. "What did you two do on that date?" He asked, shoving his hands in his pockets.

"Not much, we just rode the rides together, I couldn't eat the food there, it sucks." You scrunched your nose, even the slight thought of food makes you want to throw up.

He sighed and sat back, "But I promised Soyeon to spend time with her, and I had to leave." Your lips tugged downwards as you sighed.

"I'm a terrible mot-"

Jungkook huffed, "Don't joke, you're the best mother." You raised your brows at him, "Really? You're acting more aggressive than me." You said, grinning.

He cleared his throat, "Forget about that,"

You sighed again, "But seriously though, I'm not able to be a good mother." Your voice cracked, "I spend most of my time with strangers and at office, I don't give her any of my time." You said, fighting back tears.

Jungkook hesitantly patted your back, "It's okay, you can't do all of this alone." Your hands closed in tight fists as tears fell down on your lap, you hated tears; yet they don't stop.

You feel sad and devastated, you can't be a good mother, you couldn't be a good wife, you couldn't even be a good daughter, everyone is ruined because of you.

He wrapped his arms around you, hugging you. "It's alright if you want to cry," He said, a frown on his face as he patted your head.

You held onto his shirt, it's such a misery that you hate him, you curse at him, you want him out, and yet you end up coming to him in the end. You hate the fact that he can comfort you when no one else can, you hate the fact that you still love him.

He grinned, "Stop crying now, my clothes are wet." You pushed him away, a frown on your face as you glanced at his shirt while wiping your tears.

"You shouldn't go home."

Your eyes widened at his statement, he cleared his throat, "It's past twelve in the night, you can go home tomorrow." You looked over at the clock, nodding your head.

"You can sleep in my room." You looked at him, not able to say anything. "What?" You asked dryly, eyes squinting. He cleared his throat, closing his eyes. "I'm not going to do anything to you."

You rolled your eyes, "Like you would." You stood up, walking to his room. "I can't." You said, stopping as you bit your lips.

He sighed and pushed you inside, pushing you on the bed before he threw the blanket over you.

You glanced over at Soyeon, Jungkook sat on a chair beside you, crossing his arms. "Before I lose my mind, go to sleep." He said, you turned away from him, smiling at the sight of your daughter.

You lightly patted her head, your eyes fight back the sleep.

Jungkook stared at you with a straight face, before he smiled, seeing you asleep. "God." He mumbled, getting up, "Both of them are dramaqueens." He shook his head and tried to walk out of the room, when you held his arm.

He turned to look at you staring back at him, "Can you stay here?" You asked him, he glanced at your hand that was holding his tightly, he slowly nodded his head before walking to the other side of the bed.

He maintained a great distance between you two, closing his eyes as he fell asleep; not feeling as lonely as he does.
