The sun is slowly starting to hide behind the mountains far away, leaving the street Rinka is walking through being basked by its golden sunlight of the dawn. With the usual beauty of the sky and her surroundings was not being focused on by her as she kept her gaze focused along the way she's currently trailing in for if she didn't, she could have probably not notice something that she could easily put her guard down whenever she's around it.

"A stray cat? But it has a collar..." Rinka softly muttered to herself, kneeling down on the concrete walkway as the cat immediately rubs itself on her leg.

Seeing the feline being immediately affectionate towards a stranger such as herself, she couldn't help, but to let a small smile tug her lips as she gently scratches the cat's head while asking, even though she already knows that it would not answer her. "Are you lost, cute kitty? I still have some time to spare... Do you want me to help you find your owner? They must be pretty worried about you."

The cat just purred in response that was followed by a small meow before it continues to rub itself on her leg with its eyes closed. Rinka slowly and gently starts to carry the cat before she cradles it in her arms.

Informing the cat that she'll help in finding its owner, Rinka, with her new companion, proceeds to walk along the path again as Rinka hoped that she would be able to find the cat's owner before it gets too dark, but it would also be fine if the search will be continued on tomorrow since spending some time with the feline doesn't seem a bad idea to her. Before she could further contemplate on that idea, her thoughts were cut off when she heard someone calling out a name in the barren street she was in. Glancing to whoever it could be, she could see a person around her age looking behind a trash can and even inside it before a disappointed look is present on the person's features.

Noticing that the person was still busy with searching something and with her finding a lost cat, it didn't take for a minute for her to put two and two together as she turns her attention to her cradled cat to see it intently gazing towards the person as she silently asked. "Is that your owner? Well then, it's time for you to go."

She starts to make her way towards you without you knowing as you're still immersed with searching for your cat behind some bushes, hoping to finally see (cat's name), but your search stopped when someone softly speak beside you. "Excuse me? Is this your cat?"

Your eyes widen in surprise before a small grin of relief and happiness could be shown on your face.

"(Cat's name)! Don't you suddenly run off like that again! You really had me worried!" You exclaimed while Rinka gave you your cat, who immediately cuddled up in your embrace as if it was saying sorry as you proceed to give a sheepish smile towards the person who managed to find (cat's name) before you.

"I'm so sorry for bothering you and thank you so much for taking care of my cat, even for a short while. How impolite of me to not introduce myself first. I'm Y/N L/N and would you like me to provide you any help of some sorts? Or could I give you anything as a gift or a reward for your help?" You immediately introduced yourself with enough energy and giddiness as to not get the stranger uncomfortable since she seemed to be quite a mixture of shy and a serious person.

It was proven with how gentle she responded along with her expression being kept in a neutral manner. "It's fine... I'm just on my way home and it's already getting late, so... I probably need to go now."

Sensing the urgency of her statement, you decided to just give in to her silent request to leave her be as you responded. "Oh, right... Thank you again!"

You bowed in gratitude before giving a small wave, giving a gentle pat while letting your cat wave goodbye with your support with the person before you finally left, hoping to meet her again.

"We ran into each other again. This must be fate." You uttered in wonder, couldn't help to remembering your wish after you left during your first encounter.

You decided to take a stroll along the park with (cat's name), just to enjoy the environment, but then you saw her again and you decided to sit beside her on the bench she's occupying. She just gives you a blank look, hiding the excitement when she saw the cat again, but also got confused when she also felt the same way towards the owner.

It caused her to be lost in her thoughts and absence of her response that made you apologize. "I was just kidding. Sorry for making you uncomfortable."

Letting (cat's name) be seated between the two of you to also let her pet it, you proceed to inquire. "By the way, can I give you your reward? Are you free this Saturday? We could visit the newly opened cat cafe. My treat. I'll take (cat's name) with us so you won't be uncomfortable with me and we could also bond with the other cats. I really just wanted to repay your kindness, if you would let me."

You suggested, hoping that she would say yes as she seemed to be a cool and calm person to hang out with and with you just having a company with your cat most of the times, you had started to miss having company with another person. Rinka thought about it for a moment, finally arriving at a decision she wished that she won't regret after she sees the hopeful gaze you sent her.

She softly answered after she glances back to your cat while also starting to pet it. "I'm free."

You released a sigh of relief, immediately brightening your mood as you were excited for Saturday, wishing that it would arrive much sooner than you would expect it. "So, it's fine with you? You accept my invitation? Is that a yes?"

During each question, you soon found yourself leaning closer to her that made you instantly apologize after backing away again, unaware of the small and barely noticeable blush on Rinka's cheeks. When that time arrived, let's just say, Rinka didn't regret it. Even though she quite disliked being with the crowd most of the times, it was lucky enough that there are only a few costumers during your visit to the cafe, which made her enjoyed it more along with the felines she got the chance to hang out with.

Along with it, she considers it the best day of her life as she had soon found herself admiring you that had caused her to accept your invitation for being her friend. You easily notice and adjust your desired personality when you seemed it comfortable to her until you had finally made her have a conversation with you in which you had found quite an achievement, knowing that the two of you would probably bond more in the future.

A few months with your newfound friendship with Rinka, she soon found herself asking a question she was very nervous to ask or more like she's nervous with what your answer will be. "Are you in a relationship, Y/N?"

You blinked in response before muttering a response after you regained the right thinking from being confused with her sudden inquiry. "You just graduated, right? That makes the two of us and I think I'm just focusing on my job right now and no one seemed to have been taken any love interest with me, so it's a no."

You shake your head for emphasis as Rinka was relieved to know that, but couldn't help herself in revealing something. "Why won't anyone love an amazing person such as yourself? You're smart, kind, caring, and passionate with almost anything you do and I love you for it."

Rinka's calm and most of the times blank facade was destroyed and was replaced by a nervous and embarrassed expression.

She covered half of her face before she looked away from you to avoid you seeing her in such a state that made you softly chuckle. "You don't have to be shy and you can express your feelings more around me, Rinka-chan! We're lovers now, aren't we?"

It was your turn to be nervous and embarrassed with what you just blurted out, rubbing the back of your neck while shyly meeting her gaze once again when her widened eyes glances back to your form as you continued, inquiring for a confirmation. "I-I mean... is that what you also see the two of us? Or did I just read too much of your quite blunt confession?"

Rinka lets a smile be present on her lips, gazing at you with love and affection before she responds. "If you put it that way, yes. That's what I also intended for us to be."

She started to lean in for a kiss as you soon followed, but before it could happen, (cat's name) jumped into your lap that made you direct your attention towards your cat and as much as she denied it, the action definitely made Rinka disappointed and angry.

"Y/N? Don't you think you're hanging out too much with (cat's name)? I've been left out for a while. I miss our bondings." Rinka finally revealed her feeling of loneliness and maybe even jealousy after she noticed you giving more time to (cat's name) than with her, even though that wasn't really the case for it was just how she sees it.

You immediately felt guilty when she revealed what she felt. "Did it make you upset? I'm so sorry! How about I'll make it up to you with a movie night tomorrow? With just the two of us? I just need to find someone who'll take care of (cat's name) for a while since (friend's name) might be busy."

"Don't worry, I have a friend that really likes cats too, and maybe she could take care of (cat's name) during that day." Rinka stops you in worrying about who could take care of (cat's name) during your absence that made you relieved by her suggestion.

You nod in agreement, making your way towards (cat's name), lying down on the carpeted floor while behaving that completely disappeared your worries as you knew that (cat's name) will also behave well with other people. "That's great! Are you sleepy, (cat's name)? Let's put you to bed now."

"I'll do it. You look tired and you could have a small rest." Rinka suggested again, already calling out to your cat that immediately went towards her.

You release a small yawn before saying your words of gratitude towards her. "Thank you, Rinka-chan! You really are the best!"

Rinka nods before giving you a smile, proceeding to tuck (cat's name) to its own bed after she reached the cat's own room while stopping herself from being engulfed with her bloodlust and she was successful upon doing so as she was also still grateful to your cat since (cat's name) was the main reason for your meeting.

It would have been such a catastrophe if your cat will be missing forever, now wouldn't it? Fortunately, everything seemed to be still fine between the two of you, but as much as she adores and cares much with felines, everything is at its maximum level when it comes to you and she loves you more than she does with cats. Not wanting for you to be sad and angry with her when that time do arrive, she decided to keep her jealousy at bay. Your actions are equally speak with your words after all and it really shows how you also love her that made her try her best to also maintain your relationship without causing a catastrophe with it.
