Saturday is bright and hot! I dont like hot weather thats why I live in Boston! I yawn and smell bacon. It smells good but I can't eat it, I would puke right afterward. The though of eating animals makes me sick.

    I head to the shower while texting Candy.
Me- Hey we still on for today?
Her-Yeah my mom will drive us there.
Me- Okay see ya!

    Once I'm done with my shower I pull on the outfit I wore when we went bowling. It is comfy and easy to move in.

    My hair is in a messy ponytail and I'm ready to go. I head to the kitchen and grab a water. Then to the porch to wait on Candy.

    She pulls up like five minutes later in a truck. Her mom is in the driver seat and she's in the passenger seat. I climb into the back and say.
     "Thank you Mrs. Lehmans."
     "Call me Darlean dear. Its nice to meet you!" She tells me.
     "Okay and you too."

    Candy smiles and asks.
     "You have a hot date tonight don't you?" I blush.
     "It's not a date. I'm going with Kade as friends. We are not meant for each other." She just chuckles as we pull into the mall parking lot.
     "You girls be careful and have fun." Darlean calls.
     "We will, love you!" Candy calls and shuts the door.
      "Now lets go shopping!" She squeals and we run toward the entrance.

    We head to Victoria Secret because Candy needs to get some more bombshell and some panties. I hate the store because its so ugggg! She laughs at my expression and then we get what she needs.
      "What would you like to get?" She asks.
      "Some church outfits that aren't all black! Laura insists."
      "Okay I know the perfect store!" She says and then we head there.

    The store is called Maurices and it is a girls and women's store. It has a lot of clothes like the outfit Laura got me. I head to the dresses set rack and see the exact outfit Laura got me. I laugh softly and find two more sets like it.

    One is a yellow and grey dress with a grey cardigan over it. The other is just a grey dress with a navy blue cardican that has colored triangles.
      "These outfits are cute!" Candy exclaims.
      "They are on sale. I can get two then that's the last of the money I brought." I tell her.
     "Then I will buy you lunch." She tells me.
      "Okay thanks. I will buy next time!" I promise and head to the counter to pay.

    I will have to tell Kades dad I will take the job. I am almost out of money and I want to save for college myself. Mom needs to buy herself some new things.
      "Do you have any siblings?" Candy asks me.
     "No but Laura and my dad want to have another kid." I tell her.
     "What do you want her to have?"
     "I want a sister!" I tell her.
     "Oh cool!" She says.

    We get to the food court and both decide on italian. I get cheese pizza and a lemonade. Candy gets a pepperoni pizza with a Coke. We smile at the food with greed in our eyes.
     "Man I'm hungry!" I groan as I take a bite.
     "Me too!" She exclaims and laughs.

    When lunch is over we head to Macy's department store to check out their school sale. Candy finds some cute wedge sandals and a pair of jeans.
     "Kara how do you think I should  dress?" She asks me.
     "Well your normal style is cute but to monochromatic." I tell her.
     "What does that mean?" She asks.
     "It means you dress in one color all the time. All your outfits match to much." I say.
     "Can you come to my house soon to help me un-monochromatic?" She asks.
     "Sure how about monday afternoon?" I ask.
     "One tip for mondays outfit?" She asks.
     "Mix and match!" I say.

    Tomorrow is church again and then I am going to hang with dad and Laura. We are going to lunch with Kade's family and then to his ranch. I need to get home though because I am going to the rodeo with Kade tonight.
     "Hey I'm gonna call Laura to come and pick me up. I need to go and get ready for the rodeo with Kade."
     "Okay have fun I'm gonna go to the arcade!" She calls as she skips away.

    I pull out my phone and head to the entrance at Macy's. I call Laura and she picks up on the fourth ring.
Laura- Hey.
Me- Hey can you come and get me from the mall?
Laura- Yeah sure be there in fifteen minutes.
Me- Okay I'm at the entrance to Macy's.
Laura- Okay.

    She seemed very snippy. I wonder what her problem is. I just shrug it off and begin playing flappy dunk. I love this game its the best game to kill time. My phone rings and its my mom.
Mom- Hey Kara whats up?
Me- Hey mom I'm at Macy's waiting for Laura to pick me up.
Mom- Oh cool did you buy anything?
Me- Yeah two outfits.
Mom- Oh what for?
Me- Church.... Dad and Laura are making me go. They say it's 'Good' for me!
Mom- Well it seems your happy.
Me- What are you doing?
Mom- I'm heading to Shoe Department! I'm getting some black heels today.
Me- Good I'm getting a job so you can keep more money.
Mom- Kara you need to focus on school!
Me- Mom its only two days a week and on a weekend plus that!!
Mom- Okay well I'm pulling in so I will let you know...
Me- Okay love you!
Mom- love you too! I miss you! Bye!
Me- Byeeeee!

    Laura pulls up a few minutes later and I head to the car jumping in.
     "Hey guess what I got?!" I say to start a conversation.
     "What?" She snaps.
     "Never mind." I say and go back to playing flappy dunk.

    We pull up to the house and I head to my room.
     "Kara can you wash the dishes?" Laura calls from the front porch.
     "No it is your day and I'm going to the rodeo with Kade tonight." I call back.

    She sighs from her tanning chair and goes back to sleeping. She's lazy. I head to my room and pull out my clothes. Heading to the shower I take a quick shower and then lotion up. My skin is dry so I use coconut oil with spf in it. I wont burn. Then I pull on my clothes and fish tail my hair. My shirt is a black and white Plaid button up and I have dark wash jeans with the black cowgirl boots from dad.

    I also do my makeup in my everyday grey eyeshadow and pale foundation. I hate wearing the boots but they go with the rodeo vibe.

    I head downstairs to the kitchen and find Laura doing the dishes. She looks unhappy.
     "What's wrong?" I ask her.
     "I feel sick, like I'm going to throw up."
     "Go lay down I will do the dishes." She sighs and I take the rag from her.

    It takes like twenty more minutes because we don't have a dishwasher so I clean and dry the plates returning them to the cabinet. Then I hear the rumble of a four wheeler outside. Kade has pulled up and I grin to myself.

    He knocks on the door as I'm getting my backpack ready. I open it to him with a bouqet in his hands.
     "Ummm whats this?" I ask.
     "Its flowers for the lady!" He exclaims. I laugh and take them.
     "Thanks."

    Putting them on the entrance table I follow him to the four wheeler and climb on the back.
     "Hold on we are gonna speed!" He yells as he revs the engine. So I grab the rack that holds buckets usually but now its empty. We fly down the street and Kade laughs. It seems he enjoys the speed.

    I on the other hand am leaning back and the wind is pushing me back. So reluctantly I put my arms around his waist. He laughs and tenses his stomach muscals. I blush and lean my head on his shoulders.

    When we get there the loudest music is playing. I smell hotdogs on a grill and hear cows lowing.
     "Are you hungry?" Kade asks.
     "Yeah!" I say.
     "What do you want?"
     "Some chips and a funnel cake?"
     "Alright I'll get it, you find a place to sit?" He suggests. I nod and head to the stands.

    The place isn't to busy so I find a seat and wait for Kade. He takes a long time. As I'm about to stand up and go look for him someone taps me on the shoulder. I turn to see him holding my funnel cake and chips.
     "Where were you?" I ask.
     "I climbed up the back!" He laughs.
     "You're a goof!"

    He nods and turns to the ring as the announcer comes on.
     "LADIES AND GENTS! WELCOME TO THE ANUAL HICO TEXAS RODEO. TONIGHT WE HAVE SOME GREAT PERFORMANCES! FIRST WOULD ALL THE RIDERS COME TO THE RING SO WE THEY CAN PICK THEIR BULLS!" My ears ring. I turn to Kade to see him high-fiving some dude.
     "Hey Kade why is it so loud?"
     "So the people can hear over the din of the cows."
     "Who is this?" The dude asks.
     "Asher this is Kara my new friend who just moved from Boston. She is very interesting." He introduces me.
     "Umm hi." I say shyly. The guy has blonde hair and blue eyes. He has a striking resemblence to Liam Hemsworth.
     "Nice to meet you Kara!" He says in a drawl and puts his hand out for a shake. I shake and then turn to the ring where horses are coming in with girls in red, white, and blue.

    The National Anthem comes on so I stand and put my hand over my heart. Kade and Asher do that taking off their hats and puting them on their hearts. The girls are exellent riders and the horses are all a dark brown color.

    Then the the riders pick their bulls. Kade winces at some of them and when I ask why he tells me that those bulls are very rough. Apparently his dad is a part owner in the rodeo so some of these bulls live at his ranch.

    The riding does not look fun. Some of the boys are just a little older than me and I since when they fall off. When Kade sees this he laughs.
     "Kara it doesn't hurt that bad."
     "How would you know?"
     "Umm I ride as a novice." He dead pans like I would know everything about him.
     "Ugh I couldn't do that!" I exclaim shivering. He laughs and puts his arm over my shoulder. A blush comes over my cheeks as I look out at the Stadium.

    Kade pulls me closer as we watch the show. I end up with my head on his shoulder and my eyes closed. Soon enough despite the music and roar of the crowd I am asleep.

     I wake when intermission is called and Kade gives me a tug with his hand.
      "Want to go and line dance?" He asks. I look to the ring and see people lining up to dance.
     "Umm sure?" I say uncertainly. He grins and pulls me down the bleachers.

    The song that is playing I don't know but Kade guides me through some hip swinging moves and I laugh. The beat is catchy and I start to hear the words.
I like it I love it
I want some more of it!
The singer sings through the speakers.
     "I like it!" Kade growls in my ear as he twirls me.
     "I love it!" I laugh back.

    When we are done dancing I check the time. Its nine and my curfew is 10.
     "Kade I think we should go." I tell him and show him the time.
     "But you haven't seen the barrel racing!" She groans.
     "Maybe next time!" I tell him because I like the rodeo.
     "Okay." He sighs and picks up his jacket.

    We speed back to town laughing all the way. When we pull down my street Kade slows and turns to look at me.
     "Thanks for coming with me Kara. Will you please accept the job offer my dad put out?"
     "Yes I was already thinking about it." I tell him.
     "Cool, this way we can hang more and be productive." He laughs.
     "Thanks for the great time Kade, I had a great time." I say.
     "Okay well I'll see you tomorrow." He says as I climb off the Four-Wheeler.
     "Bye!" I call as I race up the walk and through the front door.
