So, I basically teach at a muslim school. My kids are muslim and yes they most certainly know that I am a muslim but I still get questions like:

Miss, are you fasting today?

Miss, you can read Arabic?! But you teach english (works for afrikaans too)

I was praying Salaah yesterday and this kid that I teach, no joke, stared at me for most of the time that I prayed my four rakaats.

Guys, do you know how weird it is having someone stare at you for 4 full rakaats?! I physically turned her away and told her it  qas weird.

Like they find it fascinating that I actually do "muslim things"

By now, you just sort of go with the flow and just say "yup, I can."
