Dylan

We started to study for our exams starting today, Monday. I can't quite forget what happened yesterday though, it was so much fun I never felt so extatic in my life. Being with Kyle and Keith is fun but, working with them brings our closeness to another level. We can now get rough with each other without thinking being offended, we can hug without feeling awkward and we can just talk and talk with each other without getting tired.

Yesterday
I arrived at the diner at seven the exact time when the diner opens, I enter the doors and I saw that Keith and Kyle are already there. They greet me good morning and both smiled goofily at me. "Hey Pablo your first applicant for the day is here!" He announced and his boss look at me. "Ay! You take care of him Mijo, you know that we don't do the regular recruitment process here. You already know what to do." I stared at him confused and he just nod at me. Kyle gestured at me to come closer so I did, I tried to hand my resume may at him but, he shake his head no. "We don't need that, we like to see if you can help us make our sales go higher." He explained and, a group of teenage girls walked into the diner. "Just in schedule. Hey Keithan your regulars are here please attend to them." The girls giggled at Kyle's command and Keith came from the back pick up the menus and his note pad. Before heading out to the customers he stand in front of Kyle and salute at him. "Aye aye captain!" He shouted Kyle nodded and the girls giggled some more, Kyle look at me. "Watch him work then after, it will be your turn." He told me like I'm a real applicant and not his friend I just gulped because, I feel a little nervous by Kyle's actions. He's scary when he's in charge but, I kinda like this new side of Kyle that I've never seen before.

Keith move swiftly taking orders while kinda flirting or sweet talking to the group of girls. I think the girls want him more than the food that they are ordering. "See that Dylan?" Kyle suddenly speak. "That's how you do it, making more money, more customers and friends at the same time. I bet one of these days our dear friend will find a girlfriend." He look at him smiling, he's so dense if you only knew that Keith is so head over heels for you. He only wants you and nobody else, I thought to myself as I smile. Keith came back with a wide grin on his smug face. "I did great, order up!" He shouted the last part as he placed the order at the window through the kitchen. The cook took the order and prepare the food. As I watch Keith work more as he entertained his patrons as they wait for their food, another group came in this time it's a bunch of giggling boys so that means they're gay. Kyle gave me a devilish look. "Your turn." He said and I smirk at him. "I think you forgot that my brother is gay." Then I grab an apron and menus, and head to the table of waiting customers. I think I did well cause I got them to order a lot, I return towards counter to place orders and return to my customer's table to entertain them while they wait for their meal. I waited till they're finished get the bill and wave them goodbye. "So how did I do?" I asked Keith and Kyle, they just both smiled. "Well you did good, we'll just call you to tell whether you will start on Winter break. We have your number on your resume, don't call us we will call you." Kyle said teasing me and I grunted. They just both smiled at me widely that just made my anger boil even more. I hate this jerks, the anticipation of the result still bother me. "The owner just asked if you can finish the shift today, all of your hard work will be paid." Kyle said I frown at him but, nodded. I did all I can to please customers today and it really went well, the only thing that bothers me is the result. Damn, I'm gonna make them regret this.

Real time.

"Hey, Dylan we're losing you." Kyle said as we say together during lunch time eating age studying. "Let's just study jerks." I coldly said. "I'm sorry Dyl but, I made a promise to Kyle. We can't tell until winter break." Keith explained. "Tell me why you can't tell me?" I argued with my voice is getting louder. "Pablo can't pay you for this week he still doesn't get the funds cause it's being processed still by the bank so, we can't just hire or tell people that they are hired when we're not sure if they're getting paid. I don't wanna say that in front of Pablo so we tell every applicant the same garbage." When Kyle finished I kinda feel bad about how I acted. "Sorry, guys I should've just asked nicely instead of acting out." I look at them hoping that they'll forgive me. Keith hold may hand and smiled while Kyle sighed. "It's okay, I guess we should at least tell you right after, it's just that I'm thinking about Pablo, and I want to treat every applicant equally." Kyle explained. "Sorry, you're just being a professional and I didn't." I smiled and hold his hand. "I maybe kinda want to tease you too cause it's funny." He laughed at me as I scowl and throw his hand away, I focused on my book and ignored Kyle because, he was being a jerk. He suddenly slap my arm making me look at him. "Love you Dyl." And with those words a felt my heart skip a bit.

"Dylan why are so quiet?" Keith ask me, well yeah I've been quiet since I've heard what Kyle said. "Are you still mad at me?" Kyle ask and I was taken a back with his question. "No it's okay, I'm just thinking." I said and pat his shoulder. "About what?" He followed up, damn he ask too much but, what can I do? "About someone." I plainly said and he smiled so innocently. "It's a girl, is she pretty?" He asked again and I just ruffled his hair and he just giggled. He's so innocent and oblivious I'm getting deeper into it.

After school we just studied some more in preparation for our exams. "Do you want to hang out Dyl?" Keith asked me I smiled and nodded. "My place or your place." I asked him, he smiled at me. "How about our place?" Then he wrapped his arms around Kyle's shoulder. I smiled at them and put my hands around Keith's shoulder. We walk together after school and we saw some groups of girls giggling they walk to us. "You two are the waiters at the diner right?" One of the girls asked, Kyle and Keith smiled and I just nod. "He's gay right, are you guys uhm you know?" Another asked and the rest giggled. "NO!" Kyle exclaimed and I felt my chest clench. "We're just, friends really good friends." He further explained and he smiled at them. "They are available you know." He grinned, damn is he selling Keith and I? I frown and Keith looks like he's gonna cry. I nodded at the girls wrapped around my arms on Kyle's shoulder and grab Keith's arms with my free hand and walk away. "You can't just sell us to people Kyle." I coldly said to him. "I'm sorry, I just want to help." He's words grow littler as he finish. "I know but, the right person will come on the right moment." I smiled at him and he just hugged me, we heard some girls screamed the word cute Kyle tried to get away but, I stop him by hugging him tighter. Keith soon followed as he hug us from Kyle's back and the girls went crazier. I can feel Kyle's face heat up on my chest and, both Keith and I just can't stop smiling like fools.

Days went on and on, exams are already taking place, it really is becoming hell before winter. I swear everyday gets more stressful I'm really glad that Keith, Kyle and I supports each other to go through this cold hell of a week. I also heard on their conversation how they are having problems with the contractors for renovating the diner due to the weather becomes harsher everyday. I also heard that the contractors still promised that everything will be on time before the grand reopening on the first day of winter break. I guess that's good news but, we can't just trust mere words we need to see results. I dunno why I'm feeling stressed when it's really not my business well I guess, seeing this two phase around and get frustrated they are kinda rubbing if the negativity on me. Well that's what friends are for, Being there for each other. I also haven't seen my old friends much after I dumped them because, they are being jerks with me being friends with Kyle. Well, most of their act was really because they hate Kyle. Well Kyle's kind, pure and awesome so, if they don't fuck then it's their loss anyways. Like they just want and act to be cool but, they're too hard unlike Kyle, when he starts opening up to you that's when his coolness overflow from his shell. They just really need to try and see that Kyle's not really bad at all.

It's just the first day of exams but, it's so hard already. Those other students who say that our teachers are trying to destroy us are not kidding. Ugh like there's two more days to go and I don't know if we will make it with all the stress and pressure. I just want this all to be done and ask Kyle as my date to the winter dance. Ahh the winter dance, before I have no reason to but, Kyle came oh I almost forgot Keith too. I guess it's not bad to ask your squad to be your date knowing that you'll have most of the fun out of it. Maybe, I will ask them both to be my date when we have the chance to hang out. I just walk around feeling my face melting up and, I'm so in a good mood I greet back to everyone who greeted me. I just wish that everyday will be just like this but, with my boys around I guess it will always will be.
