Sara was born in the West Riding of Yorkshire in the United Kingdom, she was the middle child of three.

Early in her life the family moved to a seaside town called Bridlington in an attempt to ease the breathing difficulties from which Sara suffered. Sara grew to love living by the sea and was always sad to be away from it.

Sara met her husband, Mark, when she was fifteen years old and their love affair lasted the whole of her lifetime. They married in 1995.

In 2001 their son, Eliot, was born, a joy to them both.

Sara began writing at the age of seventeen, in an attempt to overcome the isolation brought on by a period of illness. She never stopped writing.

Over the years she was successful in managing to have published over one hundred pieces, both poetry, and short stories.

Sara was a fervent admirer of the actor Jeremy Brett, who played Sherlock Holmes in the much acclaimed television series. She wrote a poem which the Wyndham Theatre posted on the anniversary of his eightieth birthday. An achievement of which she was justifiably proud.

Sara was planning to write a full length novel which she planned to post on wattpad to gauge reaction, sadly, her untimely passing meant this project was not completed.

As those of you that have interacted with Sara will know, she was a warm and generous human being. Like many talented writers, Sara suffered from some insecurity about the quality of her work.
