Kyle is helping Tatiana pick a ring, and as he does, he drops his hands on the table and looks straight into her eyes

"There, my debt is paid. Now if you excuse me, I need to get back home, get a bag, and head to the hospital, and you should do the same, the storm is almost here and God knows after it hits you won't be able to get anywhere."

"I will, and Kyle, thank you"

"What for?"

"Everything, thank you for being my friend, sleeping with me, and making me realize I wanted more than what I had or was settling for"

He nods at her and smiles and then heads out of the shack. He goes to his apartment and drives back to the hospital afterward.

The hours are passing slowly, the night sets in, the winds are starting to roar, the air is cold, and snow has just started to fall.

At 2:00 AM the next day, Kyle gets paged to the helipad, his high-profile case had arrived, and just in time before the storm hit.

He goes up, covering himself he receives his patient, greets the parents, and leads them towards the elevator. After arriving on the fourth floor, he leads them to the private room their child will be in during her stay at the hospital. The room behind the sliding door is covered by a plastic wall for isolation, two reclinable chairs for them to sit, followed by another sliding door, and the bed inside a plastic bubble.

They look at him

"Wow, I believe this is the first time a hospital has set all of this for our little girl," Said the father

Kyle stands behind them and introduces himself and his team

"Mr. and Mrs. Garcia, My name is Kyle Sandoval, I'm going to be the primary physician on your daughter's case along with them, Nurse Anders and Halen, as well as doctors Millen and Noren. We will be running the tests again, tests that have already been performed before, but, in the meantime, we are going to let her rest, she has been through enough for today, I will resume studying her case and see how other physicians have approached the case. If there is anything you need don't doubt to call for me, I will be at your disposal 24/7 as long as your daughter remains under my care."

"Thank you, we already know what we needed to know about you and the team, doctor Ramney emailed us detailed bios of you all. You seem to know what you are doing, and if the doctors here trust you then so do we." Said, Mr. Garcia

"You flatter me, but anything ok, anything you need just let me know. One of the nurses will come to check her vitals very soon and one of the doctors will put a central line on her so we don't have to pinch her every time we need to run tests. They will also see that she is as comfortable as possible." Kyle replies to them both

As the parent's nod in understanding, Kyle walks out of the room that has been reserved just for his patient.

As he enters his office, he clears his throat and speaks "Ok listen up, as of this moment we don't leave this area unless is strictly necessary. Are we clear?"

The entire team nods in agreement

"Now let's review the main details of the case."

Nurse Anders introduces the case "Patient is a nine-year-old female, with a chronic illness that is yet to be diagnosed"

"She has suffered numerous interventions trying to find what this may be, you already ordered a central line to be put on her STAT" Resident Millen followed

"Yes, she has already been through enough as it is, lets try to keep her as comfortable as possible for as long as we can, God knows this will get intensely very quickly for her, understood?"

"Yes sir." Resident Noren nods

"Alright then, go."

As the team starts to do their part, Kyle sits down at his desk and start going through everything one more time, he starts to fill the test that he will order and while he does that he tries to reach Doctor, Nickolina Sambrano the best Diagnostician in the occident and maybe the world, known for solving the most mysterious and high in profile cases.

After fifteen minutes he manages to get in contact with the hospital that she runs in Iceland, he tells her all the details and explains the state of the patient. At first, she seems hesitant but ends up offering to help with a minimum of things but help non the less

"I will help, but you will have to do pretty much everything, I am working on a case right now that demands all of my attention but every chance that I get I will contact you, Mr. Sandoval, until then, email my assistant the updates as you progress" Dra. Sambrano says before hanging up

Kyle puts down the phone.

Meanwhile, outside the snow continues to hit rapidly and in an increasing manner.

An hour later, as the storm intensifies, the power goes out in the entire city and near zones, the backup generators kick in, and the hospital goes back into full swing once more.

The hours start to pass, the storm still hasn't quite begun, but the weather is here, winds are strong, the cold temperatures have already struck, the snow keeps increasing, soon, there won't be anything else to do but wait it out.

And in the wait, Malcolm calls up to the floor where Kyle finds himself

"So, how does it feel to officially be royalty?"

Kyle clears his throat and puts on a British accent "HA HA HA, it feels as if I was born for it"

"Ass hole, that's what you are, an ass hole, there's a reason Tatiana dump your cock for Samanthas vagina," Malcolm said out loud on the other end of the line

"DUDE LANGUAGE, and first off all, I ENDED UP THINGS, not Tatiana, I did, because I was raised right, and besides, they were meant for each other, who am I to stand in the way of true love" He finishes with a poetic tone

"HAHAHAHA, I know, I know, it's just, ever since I ended my marriage I feel this void that you could not even comprehend, messing with you somehow makes it feel a lot better though" Malcolm replies

"Well I'm happy to be of service, but in all honesty, you have two options, you can sit at home and wallow, or get up, and get out, life goes on, plus, we can be single cocks together; huh, somehow that sounded less weird in my head" Kyle replies

At that moment the lights flicker, the generators go off and go back up again so fast, and then, after a minute of silence, an explosion is produced on the third floor of the east wing of the hospital, just below where Kyle and his high profile patient are.

A massive hole in a wall makes the fire take over the whole east wing of the hospital rapidly due to the flow of air coming from outside, inside the hospital, the signal is gone and Kyle drops the phone and goes off running towards his patient's room when he spots one of the residents

"Someone tries to call the fire department now, and get more people up here to get this patient out of the hospital NOW, MOVEEEEE."

Five minutes later

"Any updates," Kyle asks

"They already called the fire department, and they are evacuating the patients of this wing, but they need us to wait here, they will let us know when we can proceed" Resident Noren responds to him

Another explosion takes place, on the same floor but in a different room, and this time, it happened to be the room where they store the oxygen tanks for high respiratory distressed patients that need therapy. Due to the oxygen, a wave of fire goes out the side of the hospital and the fire keeps spreading through the ceiling of the third floor and it reaches the fourth, one of the nurse's notices and rushes to them

"Um, guys, not to alarm you, but, the fire is reaching this floor," Nurse Halen says with an alarmed tone

Kyle looked as he team and the parents of his patient who look at him for answers

"ALRIGHT, WE'VE GOT TO MOVE, PUT THE ISOLATION BAG ON THE BED, GET HER INSIDE AND LETS MOVE"

"They said to wait" Said Mrs. Garcia

"Ma'am if we wait for them, the flames will get to us, we need to move to the other side of the floor and hope that the elevator still works so we can go up, otherwise, not to alarm you, but we are done."

They get the little girl inside a plastic bubble and start pushing the bed around as far away from the flames that are coming through the floor as possible, working together they take a turn on the floor but at last, they find themselves in front of a wall of raging fire that blocks the elevators, and the exit to the staircase that is behind it...
