Selena's POV:

"She's my ex-girlfriend."

Okay, someone slap me. WHAT THE FUCKING HELL! Hey, it's obvious, isn't it? He has a history, like everyone else. Social history. It's obvious when girls fall for him for his looks. Uh, maybe I did too- what the hell am I talking about?! Anyways, rumors say that he threw girls like garbage after dating them. It's true if someone says he's a playboy, but not according to the rumors. He's everything a girl can have, or will ever want. Anyways, back to earth please.

"Oh."
"She bullied Lilac before I joined. Afterwards, she begged for forgiveness to all three of us. We did, and became good friends. Slowly, I started falling for her. It was obvious. She was the most beautiful here. She became my girlfriend. We both were happy until-
"Until what?"

He massaged his temples for a few seconds. He was tensed, angry, sad. I can't be sure what he feels now.

"Until Todd. She left me when I returned from my mission. We had a long argument. I dumped her then. Now she's back, and wants to get back. I don't want to."
"Why not?"
"I love someone else."

Say what now?! Someone is pulling my leg here. He loves some one else. That's clear. Why am I fuming here? I would definitely not ask him who she is. She'll be dead by time. By me, of course. Ugh, why the heck am I- nevermind.

"Does she loves you back?"

"I don't know. I don't think she does. It's like she makes clear she doesn't. Do you think she does?"
"I don't know who the person is, but I think you should confess it to her. How about that?"

Hey, he loves someone else doesn't mean I'll forget what he feels. If he's happy, I am happy, or that's what I feel.

"Yeah."

I put a hand on his shoulder and gave my best smile. He nodded in return. I stood up and walked away. I was walking back to my place when a hand covered my mouth and pulled me back to forest. I tried to wiggle out of his grip, but I couldn't. When I did, I came face to face with him. Aiden.

"Hey beautiful."
"Why the heck did you dragged me here?!-
"Shh. Someone will hear us."

He shushed me and looked sideways. He let out a breath.

"I just wanna help."
"With what?"
"Listen to me carefully-
"Why are we whispering?"
"Shut up and listen!"

"I want to tell that Protessors​ and the Baundors will be here tonight. They are going to have a meeting tonight, after the In-Commands meeting."
"Why are you telling me this?"
"I know you spy on them every time, and this is an unannounced meeting. Besides, I'm the Third-in-Command, and this meeting might be an advantage to your knowledge. Many, many secrets would be revealed. It's a fluke, but I think the main topic is Nathan."
"You're helping Nathan?"
"Hey, easy. Don't tell anyone I'm helping him, it will damage my ego-
"Which is the size of a continent."
"Whatever. By the way, I help him everyway, so he owe me tons."
"Oh, really? How?"
"I made Lilac fall for me so Nathan could confess. He got jealous and he did. I made him fight to prove his strength to her, so she could go to him and a lot more."
"I can't believe you did that? And why are we still whispering?"
"So no one hears us. If they do, they'll think I got you as my girlfriend."
"You're not my boyfriend!"
"I know, idiot! Keep your volume low!"

He again looked side to side, and again took a breath.

"Guess no one saw us. Phew. Big advice: go alone after 12, at the fake, rotten graveyard. They will be there."
"How do you know that?"
"I am the Third-in-Command, babydoll, and I spy all the time. It's my job, and don't think I don't know the records you keep."
"How do you know that too?"
"I just said I spy all the time a moment ago! Anyways, don't forget! Bye!"

After saying that he dozed off to I don't know where. I laughed.

"Well, it's about time I go too."

I skipped all the way to Lilac's. Me, being in a glee, I opened it without hesitation. Lilac was scribbling in her notebook.

"Hey, L!"
"Oh, hey. Come on. Have a seat."
"I was going to anyways."

I hopped on Lilac's bed.

"What's up?"
"I came back from Jake's and found out something interesting."
"Really? What did you find out?"
"He loves someone else, not Izzy."

Lilac perked up and turned her full attention to me.

"Who?"
"I dunno, but I don't like it."
"Why not?"
"Because I love him."
"Oh, okay- WHAT?!"
"What? What did I- oh, shit."
"YOU DO WHAT?!"
"Shush, Lilac. Not another word. Not. Another. Word. No one should know about it. No one. Not even Nathan."

Why did my tongue slip, I don't exactly know. I tried to shut her up, but I was partially successful. She calmed down and kept biting her lip, which, I thought, she was trying to hide her smile. I blushed.

"Did you tell him?"
"How could I? He loves someone else, not me. It's not like he'll ever feel anything for me."

I know I was mumbling, and was red like a tomato, and flushed, but Lilac, oh damn her, she was jumping up and down, squealing. I wish Alexis was here. If I'd tell her, the news would be spread like wildfire. Hmm, that's a bad idea.

"You know what, Sells? I saw him outside."
"WHAT?!"

"Don't worry. He didn't hear the whole conversation, just heard that you love a guy."
"And how can you say like that?!"
"Easy. His face fell and he walked away. He'll probably try to get your attention to him."
"Why would he do that? He doesn't love me."
"Oh, it's the exact opposite. he loves you."
"Really? He told you he does instead of telling me."

Wow, I never knew that this much sarcasm can drip from my lips. You must be freaking kidding me! She was smiling unpleasantly, which, only means that he did. Why does my life hate me so much?

"I won't believe it until I hear it from his lips."
"You only won't hear it, but you'll feel it from his lips."

She mimicked me. I'll feel- EW! SHE IS NOT TALKING ABOUT A KISS, ISN'T SHE?! Oh goody, she is.

"Oh, I gotta do something important. See ya!"
"Don't tell Nathan!"
"Of course I won't."

Phew. No wait, that bitch! She was telling a lie! That masochistic, bitchiest, pizza loving shithead! If Nathan found that out, what would I do? That won't be so bad, would it? But he'll make fun of me. Jeez, help me overcome this one more problem, Oh sweet god of Saltybuns!
