Chapter Thirty Three

Tyler ended up having to stay in the hospital for three days. To make matters worse, they made Josh go home. He wasn't allowed to stay with Tyler anymore because they had to tell him several times he wasn't allowed to be in the bed with him.

But Tyler felt better when his husband was in bed with him. And even though he told the nurse that, she said Josh couldn't stay with him anymore.

That infuriated Joshua.

And, for once, Tyler was angry too.

"So, Mr. Dun," the nurse who had kicked Josh out said. "How're we feeling today?"

"Pretty fucking awful given I'm projectile vomiting every five to ten minutes, and have been for the past three days, and the only thing on this earth giving me a reason to continue to live was forced to go home and you won't give me my phone to fucking talk to him."

Tyler never cursed. Ever. Especially saying 'fuck.'

That's how it was known he was mad.

"Maybe if your husband had listened to me the first time he could've still been here," the nurse replied, rolling her eyes.

"You're a real fucking bitch, you know?" Tyler said.
"I hope you don't treat the patients who are dying like this. Because you make the hospital experience a thousand times worse than it already is."

"Can't say that I care," the nurse answered.

Just then, the hospital door burst open. It was Josh.

"Hey, baby," he smiled widely as he saw his husband, turning to the woman and dropping his look of joy. "Get the fuck out."

"Why?" She asked.

"Because your ass is getting fired," Josh grinned.

"What?"

"Yep!" Josh smiled. "The last three days I've been sitting at home, writing email after email, making call after call to the administrators of this hospital regarding your treatment of my husband, and they weren't too happy about it. Your boss is waiting outside. He looks angry, too. I'd get out there quick if I were you."

The woman flipped Josh off before exiting the room, slamming the door behind her.

"Hi, baby," Josh smiled as he crawled into bed with his husband.

"Joshie..."

"I got you a new nurse," Josh grinned. "And I think you'll be happy about who it is."

Just then, Jenna, the nurse who had given his injections entered the room.

"Hey, guys," she smiled.

Tyler smiled softly, looking at Josh and kissing his lips. The boys both liked Jenna. She was really nice and knew exactly what she was doing with Tyler's health.

Josh knew she'd treat his husband right.

And soon enough, a day later, Tyler was out of the hospital, Josh carrying him out bridal style. Tyler was still very nauseous, throwing up a lot, but his fever and everything had gone down.

Tyler drove his exhausted husband through the ice cream drive through then home, the boys getting into bed and catching up on three days worth of missed snuggling.

"I missed you," Tyler said softly.

"I missed you more," Josh replied. "I think that's the longest we've been apart since we started a relationship."

Tyler nodded. It was.

"I don't feel good, Joshua," Tyler said weakly.

"I know, baby. I know. We're working on getting you to feel better," Josh said, rubbing his husband's back softly.

"She was so mean, Joshie," Tyler said, referring to the nurse before Jenna.

"I know, baby. I'm sorry you had to deal with her. But you never have to again."

Tyler nodded before grabbing the trash can Josh had dragged to the side of the bed and throwing up in it. Josh sighed and gently patted Tyler's back.

"Our anniversary is in a couple weeks," Josh said. "We've got that to look forward to."

Tyler nodded, continuing to throw up.

"And you know what our first anniversary means," Josh smiled softly. "Another honeymoon."
