"Are you okay, baby?" Josh asked softly as he noticed how Tyler was in even more pain getting into his chair from the car than usual.

"Y-yeah j-just..." he said, out of breath and trying to hold back shrieks of pain. "T-the IV t-they had m-me on m-made my legs m-more... m-more sensitive."

"Would you rather just go home?"

Tyler shook his head. "N-no, n-no. I-it's date night."

"We can just have a date night at home, Ty."

"I-I wanna go out w-with you. W-we haven't been out i-in a month."

"Baby..." josh started. He hated seeing his husband in so much pain.

"I-I'm Fine, Josh."

Josh sighed. He knew Tyler wasn't fine, but he also knew he'd never admit that. "Okay."

He pushed Tyler to the restaurant, his husband not wanting to even get out of his chair as he normally did. He didn't feel well enough to.

"Are you sure you don't want to just go home? We can order our food to go."

"I-I'm sure. P-positive."

So the boys ate quietly before heading back outside, going to an old park. Josh sat on a bench, Tyler in his chair beside him. He reached over and shyly slid his hand into Joshua's.

"I love you, Joshie. T-thank you for always taking care of me."

"I'm your husband, Ty," Josh said. "Don't thank me for taking care of you. It's my job."

"I-I know, I just... I don't get to really ever take care of you so I feel like I have to say thank you at least every once in a while."

"You take care of me more than you will ever know," Josh said, kissing Tyler's hand. "Always making me dinner, calling me to tell me you love me, snuggling with me. Everything in the world you do with me."

Tyler shrugged. "I-I don't really do much."

"What? Baby, you do everything," Josh said, squeezing Tyler's hand. "You do everything and more! You make me feel so loved and important all the time. There has never been a time since we started a relationship where I haven't felt loved. Even when we're fighting. And that's not something many people can do."

Tyler just sighed and shrugged again.

"C'mere," Josh said, picking him up out of his chair and setting him in his lap. "I love you, ok? You're my most favorite thing in the whole wide world. I love you more than anything else that's ever existed. You, my love, are my everything."

Tyler looked down at his lap.

"And I have a little surprise for my everything," Josh grinned softly.

Tyler looked up.

Josh reached into his back pocket and pulled out an envelope.

The note inside read.

'My beautiful, wonderful, perfect, amazing Tyler,

I can't believe it's almost already been a year since we became each other's forever. I love and adore you more and more each day.

I promised you on the last night of our honeymoon I'd take you on another one on our first anniversary, and I'm staying true to that promise.

Pack your hula skirt, baby.

We're going to Hawaii in three days. We'll be there for 21 days.

Tyler looked up, giggling at the last part. "M-my super smexy and sweet hubby."

Josh grinned and hugged Tyler's waist tightly. "I already talked to your doctor. He said you'd be ok to fly as long as you felt ok."

Tyler nodded.

"Well then," Josh grinned. "I guess we're going to Hawaii."
