Known Descryers: Counciller Terik

Description: Can sense how much potential someone has for light and dark. They can also sense someone’s potential for power.

A Descryer is an elf who has the special ability to sense the potential in another. It is known to be a rather rare ability, with Councillor Terik being the only registered one. Councillor Terik is also known as the only elf ever known to have this ability. Elves can naturally manifest the Descrying ability. Councillor Terik, however, usually refuses to descry someone, and when he does, he will not share the results because he doesn't want to "unduly influence"[1] anyone. The only known elves who have been Descryed are Sophie, Alvar, Fitz, Fintan, and Keefe, though Terik has said he used to Descry lots of children for their parents.
