Jealousy is a sickness, and anyone can catch it.

I wasn't immune to it, but I wasn't going to admit it out loud that I felt uncomfortable knowing BamBam and Kasey were getting along. It made sense that I felt that way -- I did like BamBam and Kasey was aware of that fact, even when I denied it -- but I knew I shouldn't be feeling jealous.

What right did I have to be jealous? It was partly my fault that BamBam and I drifted apart. I had no control over him so it's not like I could stop him from becoming friends with Kasey. There was no reason for him not to become friends with her anyway.

Mark, Jackson and I were on the couch, having a conversation in English, while everyone else were immersed in their own activities. We were talking about some random things. I think we went from talking about food to music. How we managed to do that was a mystery. I mean, I thought only girls could change topics in a conversation so easily but boys were pretty good at that, too, I guess.

"Hey, do you guys know how to put on make-up?" I asked. Okay, so maybe it was just me changing the topic every now and then.

Mark and Jackson looked at me as if I had grown another head.

"Why would you ask us that?" Jackson said.

I shrugged. "I've been wondering that for a while."

They were saved from having to answer me when loud laughter broke through the room. My attention shifted from the guys to the two who had just walked into the living room.

Kasey was laughing at something BamBam had said, and I couldn't help but to be curious of what they were talking about.

"Hey, Skylar, you okay?"

Mark's voice startled me and I jumped back when I saw his face just inches away from mine. He sat up and I returned to my old position.

"Why wouldn't I be okay?" I asked.

Jackson raised an eyebrow. "Because a certain someone isn't talking to you but is talking to another someone," he said. I threw one of the couch pillows at him and it missed his head by a few centimeters.

"Ooh, good throw," he commented and I stuck my tongue out at him.

"Hey, guys, BamBam just told me this joke," Kasey cut in and I fought the urge to roll my eyes. "Wanna hear it?"

I wasn't even listening, just watching BamBam. He didn't even look my way.

Mark leaned in closer to me, putting his arm over my shoulder. He and Jackson were laughing, half-heartedly, probably because the joke wasn't that funny. (Kasey thought even the simple things were funny.)

I was startled by the sudden skinship but since it was just Mark I didn't pull away.

"Yugyeom!" BamBam suddenly called out and walked out of the room.

I caught the knowing smirk on Jackson's face. "What's his problem?"

Mark and Kasey just shrugged. I didn't say anything as Kasey also left the room.

"You're gonna have to talk to him again soon or there will be a lot of that," Jackson muttered.

I sent him a glare and was about to tell him to shut up when Mark spoke up.

"Jackson's right, you know," he said. "Save yourself from the awkwardness."

I scoffed. "I thought you're on my side."

"Woah, I wasn't aware that there were sides," Jackson cut in.

Mark sighed, pulling his arm back. "I'm not on anyone's side," he said, "I don't even know the whole story."

Jackson groaned. "You two need to fix whatever this is. Just kiss and make up already!"

"What if we already kissed..." We did more than just that, actually.

"Then all you have to do is m- wait. What did you just say?"

I didn't reply as both of them looked at me in shock.

"You and BamBam?"

"So that's what this is about," Mark muttered.

"Can we please not talk about this?" I pleaded.

Jackson wasn't relenting. "Skylar, you and BamBam kissed. So what? We've been waiting for the moment when you two get together for two years."

"Jack--" Mark tried cutting in but it was no use.

"We all know you two like each other. BamBam's pretty crazy about you. I don't even know why you two are acting like this."

I had had enough. Without another word, I stormed back to mine and Kasey's room.

My earphones helped me tune everything out. It was just me and the loud music blasting again. After I was able to fix my relationship with my mother, I told myself I wouldn't run so much anymore. Except here I was, breaking that promise. I was avoiding having to face my problems again.

I had Burstered's Disappear playing on my iPod when the door swung open. Mark came in and I pretended as if I hadn't noticed his entrance. I was pretty sure I had locked the door and this was invasion of privacy.

He sat at the foot of the bed while I ignored his presence. It didn't take long for me to give up and pull off my earphones. "Get out," I ordered.

He shook his head. "I won't until you tell me what really happened."

"I already did," I mumbled.

"Yeah, but somehow I don't think that's all."

He was just looking at me with the most serious expression on his face. With that look I could tell that he wasn't going to let this go anymore. I mean, how could he when it was already affecting more than just BamBam and I?

I took a deep breath and prepared myself for what I was going to say. It took a minute or so for me to finally get the words out.

"We just got here," I started. "You guys and Kasey went out and it was just me and BamBam. We were just hanging out, talking, you know. He asked me if I still liked him, and I lied and said that I didn't. Then I asked him and he said same thing, that he didn't. Then the party started..."

Mark made no comment as I told him. I spared him the details, just saying that the two of us were drunk and one thing led to another which brings us to my dilemma.

I finished and it was like a weight being lifted fro my shoulders. The feeling definitely overshadowed my embarrassment to admitting that BamBam and I did it.

Looking at Mark's expression I could tell that he hadn't expected what I had just told him. "You and BamBam... You two used protection, right?"

I almost choked on my own saliva and I was sure my face was all red. "The fuck? You're supposed to be helping me out right now, not making me freak out any more!" I exclaimed, and then quietly added, "Asshole."

He chuckled as I stopped hitting him. "Sorry," he mumbled. "So, what are planning to do about it now?"

"What?"

"I get the feeling that you don't really want to avoid him because of what happened between you two. You're just scared to face him."

I made a face and attempted to push him off the bed. "Didn't you say you'll leave if I told you what really happened?"

He laughed. "I lied."

I rolled my eyes and gave up my attempt to push him away. "Jerk."

"I really think you should go and talk to BamBam," he said seriously. "This issue is just going to ruin your vacation. You like him still, even though you're afraid to get close to him again. My guess is it's because you think he doesn't like you back."

I didn't say anything and he continued to speak.

"Skylar, BamBam still likes you," he said.

I wasn't sure if he was going to say more. If he did, he didn't get to say it because then someone knocked on the door. The door opened and Jackson poked his head in.

"Hey," he muttered. Mark told him to come in and so Jackson did, shutting the door quietly behind him. He walked on over and sat on my other side. "I, uh, I'm sorry if I pissed you off earlier."

I raised an eyebrow. "If?" I emphasized.

He chuckled, taking my comment as a sign that I had forgiven him. "Okay, I'm sorry for earlier. I should have shut up when you told me to."

I sighed and shrugged. "Well, you're Jackson Wang. You never shut up," I joked.

He rolled his eyes playfully and the three of us ended up just laughing and joking around.

We were called for the dinner. Everyone sat in the living room as we ate the bulgogi that they had ordered in

No one commented when BamBam sat farther away from me, and I guessed that even the ones I barely spoke to could tell something was up.

The awkwardness was easy to avoid as everyone was joking around and laughing. The others attempted to speak English and I had to admit that their speaking ability had definitely improved. I had actually managed to have a simple conversation with JB, Junior and Yugyeom that wasn't consisting of one-worded replies.

We were all getting up and ready to go our separate ways when Jackson stopped us and suggested we play a game.

"Come on," he urged in English. "We have to play. It's so boring just going to bed after dinner." The last part, he said in Korean first then translated it into English.

Junior was the one to respond. My guess was that he asked what game we're going to play because then Jackson got thinking. Suddenly, he got up and shouted, "Truth or Dare!" and pumped his fist in the air.

Just at the mentioned of the game itself, I knew it was going to be one interesting night.
