looking down at her lap, a girl with chocolate brown hair styled in pigtail braids was mourning over the loss of her friends and crush. It wasn't her fault though, it was because her own kind had gone and done decided that they should continue on with the war. Though, some human decided that the war shouldn't continue on. Some monster and humans think that they shouldn't be at war, instead, they think they should all live together in peace. 

But others thought differently than they all did.

Because of this, some of the humans went over to the monster's side and now battling alongside them, hoping to win the war. Though not many humans battle alongside them, some of them just pretend to join sides with them to either to get information or other things. This war has been going on for as long as this young woman can remember. The girl in the jail cell had just turned sixteen, today was April 21st. 20**. No memories of her blood family were in the girl's mind. But the memories of the family that had kept her as their own when she was lost, they all come back to her like the wave of waters that she would see when she is around a lake. She hugged her knees closer to her chest and buried her face in them. The jangling sound of her chains can be heard when she moves her wrists that were cuffed up together. She sighs silently and closes her eyes, waiting to drift into a dreamless sleep.

(A few hours later)
"MONSTERS!!! EVERYONE EVACUATE NOW!!! LEAVE THE CAPTIVE EXPERIMENTS BEHIND!!!"

The brunet suddenly woke up to meet loud noises and screams, hurting her ears she wished that if her hands weren't cuffed together, she would have covered ears and not listen to the loud sounds of things exploding. She looks up again to see some of the scientist fleeing but some of them got stabbed in the back by glowing redbones, making their lab coats turn from white to red in a matter of seconds. Her dull ruby red eyes went wide with shock and shook with fear at the sight of the dead bodies that lay on the floor near her cell. Some of the blood got into her cell, the smell of it hit her nose and she quickly turned away. But suddenly, she turned around slowly and saw something even more shocking.

She saw the creatures.

The creatures that are called MONSTERS.

She spots three of them who appeared to be the ones leading the fight. One was a skeleton, he looked short, he had one glowing red pinprick, he wore a black fur jacket, under the jacket was a red turtleneck sweater, he also wore basketball shorts with a yellow strip going from top to bottom, he also had a single sharp gold tooth. The second one was a skeleton as well, it was a male as well but he seemed to be taller than the first skeleton, he had no pinpricks in his sockets, they were completely pitch black, he wore a black chest plate with a yellow symbol on it, he had long red gloves, he also wore black pants that are being held up by a red belt, and red boots. The third monster was a blue fish lady, she wore a black crop top with a red broken heart image on it, she also had red gloves but they weren't long like the taller skeleton's but she did have red boots that matched his. Along with the black pants but her belt was also black, her blood-colored hair was in a messy ponytail and a black eye patch was covering up her left eye, the right eye that wasn't covered had a red pupil in it.

The dullness in the brunet's eyes started to fade as she continues to stares at them in wonder as they continue to kill some of the scientists. Not that she forgot about them. But because she was so focused on the three monsters, she has completely forgotten about the dead scientists that were dead on the ground, leaking their blood into her cell. 

"SANS, PAPYRUS, BREAK THE CELL DOORS OPEN AND TAKE ANY CAPTIVES IF ANY RESIST KNOCK THEM OUT!"

"Don't tell me what ta do Undying, your not my mom."

"SHUT UP YOU USELESS PILE OF FUCKING BONES!-WE HAVE BUSINESS TO DO."

"Got it, Boss."

The brunet quickly crawls backward until it hits a wall, waiting for the skeletons to come and help her. The taller one 'Papyrus' comes and finds her, he looks down at the ground and makes a disgusted face but then looks back up to the human girl. He then makes a giant bone and smashes it into the metal door, making a big hole as the same size as him. He walks through the hole, ignoring the fact that he was stepping into his victim's blood. He slung the chocolate brunet over his shoulder, making the girl make a tiny 'oof' sound, but she didn't resist on being held by him like that. The girl stared at the monsters who were going the other direction while caring some of the other slaves/captives. Some of them were charging at the humans. And other monsters were helping other captives/slaves to get out of their own cell or cage. The girl's bangs hit her eyes as the skeleton suddenly starts running, his speed was starting to increase suddenly. The chocolate brunet's eyes went wide when she sees her tormentors die by black spears, from the fish lady, which was presumed as 'Undying' and the shorter skeleton.

"SANS! GO AND SET OFF THE DETONATOR, AND THEN EVACUATE ALL THE MONSTERS AND CAPTIVES OUT!" Papyrus said to the shorter skeleton 'sans' who nodded his head.

"Got it, Boss."

Again, the girl felt her bangs hit her eyes again as the taller skeleton starts to run towards the exit. When he kicks down the doors of the facility that she has been in for a long time, a brush of air hits the human female's face. She shakes her head side to side, making her bangs move away from her face when she opens her eyes again, everything began to clear up in her vision and the first thing she sees was green. That was when it hit her, they were in a forest. The wind started to blow even harder than before. From the corner of the human girl's eyes, she could see all of the monsters running out of the metal building and into the forest, papyrus started to run away with them as well while the girl was looking at the metal building one last time, soon the tall building exploded from behind all of the monsters. The wind blew through her bangs as soon as it started. The girl realizes how tired she was, due to all the action and adrenaline running through her, along with the fear of not staying alive. Gently, the girl closes her tired eyes and falls into a dreamless sleep once again.

(Longtime skip)

Slowly, the girl's eyes open, the first thing she sees were the chains that were still on her wrists. She looks up and sees other familiar captives in a cell with her. But it wasn't like the old cell that she had stayed in. She hears some of them whispering to each other, wondering what the monsters were going to do with them, she begins to wonder as well. 'Why would monsters want slaved experiments?' She says in her mind, but before she could answer that to herself, she jumps when she hears someone kicking the bars from the other side of the cell, some jumped like she did. Others mostly gasp as they see the same skeleton that carried her out of the facility. She remembered what his name was, PAPYRUS. He opened the cell door, but the others were too scared to run in his direction. So they all just either shake in fear or stay frozen like statues, trying not to look at the skeleton before them. His sockets scanning the crowd of slaves and captives, but soon, his sockets landed on the chocolate haired brunet. "YOU THERE, THE HUMAN WITH THE CHOCOLATE BROWN HAIR AND RUBY COLORED EYES, YOUR COMING WITH ME, THE KING WANTS TO SEE YOU." He yells as he points at her. The girl stands up and looks at Papyrus with a dull expression, though on the inside, she was shaking with fear. Her large doe eyes looking at the skeleton and not at others. She pulls her hoodie to hid her eyes again but not her mouth. She soon starts to walk past the other captives and experiments. 'What are they going to do to her?' and 'Poor girl.' was what she heard. She soon stepped out of the cell, not saying a word and followed Papyrus. The girl was a really shy and timid one from what the other captives have heard about. Of course, some captives know her, but some of them don't really seem to like her that much, since she was on the monster's side, and was the only human in the facility that ever was on their side. She was extremely shy and quiet when she first came into the facility, and she still was, not only that, when she would try to talk with someone, she would always stutter out her words. But she would only open to herself and not stutter when she's around two certain people. She quickly catches up with Papyrus and walks next to him, after a while, she utters out a word that she hasn't had a chance to say in front of someone without her own friends there to help her.

"U-Um...H-Hello Papyrus."

"Her voice was tiny and meek and bit quiet, but the said skeleton had heard her, he turns his head to look at her and say "HUMAN, HOW DO YOU KNOW MY NAME? WHY DO YOU EVEN BOTHER TALKING TO ME"

The shy female human flinches but then said to him "I-I...don't know...I h-h-heard the f-fish lady say ir...I-I'm s-sorry if you don't l-like me t-talking to you." 

She looks away while she lowers her head, trying to cover her face with the hoodie of her red coat. The taller skeleton started to get curious, he observed the human girl and every move she took. When they both finally reached the exit of the dungeon, the girl's eyes went wide as she sees all sorts of monsters. Dogs, cats, Bunnies, and much more. Some of them can't be identified or described. They all suddenly started to stare at the girl, making her heart pound. In these types of situations her friends would have just come and try to make others pay attention to them instead of her, but she knew that her friends weren't here, and they aren't probably alive right now. But back to the main point, the brunet knew that she couldn't handle all of the stares of so many monsters. She soon sees the fish lady and other skeletons that looked like Sans and Papyrus, though they had different vibes. The female human looked forward again and sees three people up ahead, two men and one woman goat, the three of each of them had matching golden crowns, one of the goats had a soft expression on his face and walks over to the brunet and reached out a paw to her. She quickly recoils back and stepped back, there were two reasons why she did so, one: She hasn't had contact with a human (or monster) for the past six months, papyrus included because he was a cold skeleton, the second reason was that she never lets anyone else touch her when she's either afraid, freaked out, having a panic attack, or around new people. And since she was around new people, and also not to mention that she was also around monsters. She pulls the hoodie over her head, even more, trying not to look at the other monsters that were staring at her. She began to whimper as she starts to remember the things the humans had used and hurt her with, whips, knives, syringes, boots, fists,...and guns. Her eyes start to water with tears. She started to hyperventilate from all of the memories that had to do with torture, torture that she wanted to escape from for a long, long, time. 

And she only thought that death could have been the thing to save her, but she cowards at the word "death". If she wasn't so afraid of it, then she probably would have decided to let them kill her a long time ago, but she knew that she couldn't die, not just yet, because she needed to live, she promised her old crush that she would live no matter what the cost and protect the ones that she calls herself a family to.

But she knew that her "family" could either be alive...or dead.

A voice suddenly snaps her back to reality.

"My child, do not worry, we do not wish to hurt you, we just need your assistance." The goat king with the purple robe with the soft expression said, the chocolate brunet tried to control her breathing, and for once, she actually accomplished doing so, just by remembering his words. She slowly places her still shaking hand at the goat king's paw. The goat smiles warmly at her but then looks up at the sea of monsters and said in a firm voice.

"Monsters, we shall defeat the humans and win this war and bring peace to all. We will regain and bring justice, we must not lose this chance to fight the humans! We have taken these captives and slaves from a lab, that was secretly hidden away within the north of a forest, for a reason, these humans, scientists, have made this child live in fear, do the humans know what they want? I do not know, but we must bring justice to all, we will win this war for both HUMANS and MONSTERS! Starting with these humans, we will make an army!"

The monsters soon started to cheer at the eloquent speech the goat had said. Then everyone started chatting amongst themselves about the war, about winning it, the brunet smiles a little as she starts to remember something that almost resembled this moment. She was suddenly snapped out of her memory when she suddenly feels another warm hand take her own, she quickly looks up in panic but soon calms down again when she sees that it was the goat woman, the monster smiles at the chocolate brunet gently and said. "Do not be afraid of me my child, I am Toriel, don't worry I'll explain everything to you later, right now, a friend of mine wants to meet with you." The chocolate brunet smiles shyly at the goat woman named Toriel and followed her down the hall, after a few twists and turns the both of them reached through two double metal doors. Toriel pushes the two doors open and goes inside, the human girl followed her in tow, the human girl looks around and realizes that this room was a lab, it was a little bit like the ones she had seen in the facility, but it was bigger and had a more comfy vibe to it. The brunet looks around the room and sees another skeleton monster in a lab coat and a black (or grey) turtleneck, he had a black mouth and black eye sockets with white pupils and on his head were cracks. He held a clipboard with tons of papers with one hand that had a hole in the middle and a syringe in the other hand that also had a hole, just like the ones they used on her, the human girl's eyes went wide with fear and turns completely pale, her hand slips from Toriel's paw and she quickly runs over to the double metal doors, but when she tried to open them, they wouldn't move, her eyes went wide like saucers and she kept banging on the door, ignoring the fact that her hand was bleeding out and tears were pouring down her face. Suddenly, she feels a purple aura surround her and levitated her up and away from the door. Toriel quickly goes over to the chocolate brunet and looks at her with worry and panic in her eyes. "My child! What's wrong? Why did you run off? Did you hurt yourself?! Oh dear..." She asked questions with worry as she takes the human girl's bleeding hand, the human girl was shocked, she didn't realize how much power she put in herself when she tried to bang on the door. She still doesn't even realize that she was still shaking either. She looked up and saw that the skeleton monster was in deep thought until his eyes went wide, he places the syringe of icy blue colored liquid down. This made the chocolate brunette calm down her shaking and her breathing started to slow down. "Now I understand, those human scientists had this tool and used it as one of your torture weapons to hurt you didn't they? Don't worry, I won't harm you in any way possible, I'm just in need of an assistant, and I require your help since you seem to be the most harmless and helpful one out of all the other humans who were scared out of their minds!" He said calmly and held out his hand for the human girl to take, she slowly brings her bleeding hand into his. The purple aura comes back and swirls around the human girl's hand and the skeleton scientist's, soon her hand was held and stopped bleeding. He then announced, "My name is WingDings Gaster, the royal scientist, pleased to meet you, my new assistant." The chocolate brunette looks at him for a  second but then quickly looks down and whispers to him.

"H-Hello, m-my n-name is P-Polka, I h-hope I can be of g-good use a-around h-here."

The tall skeleton smiles and brings out a white lab coat and hands it over to Polka, she flinches since she was afraid of the coat but takes it and also sees that there was a red turtleneck with dark brown stripes on it. Polka looks up at Gaster in confusion, he then says, "You will need to wear this so that way you won't get hurt by any of the chemicals, the coat and turtleneck are both protected by magic, sorry that we don't have any other sizes for the lab coat." He said and patted Polka's head gently. She sighs and then heads inside the changing room that was behind a large test tube. She sees that there was a mirror there, she wondered why there would be a mirror in a changing room but decided not to ask herself and got dressed, she took off her coat but she didn't take her skirt off, it matched colors with the turtleneck. Polka sighs as she looks at all the wounds that she had received when she was in the facility, little did any of the monsters know, Polka was the first person at the facility to be tested on. They placed strange chemicals in her and she knew that those weren't any normal chemicals, and she knew that whatever chemicals they had given her and the rest of the captives and slaves, weren't just some chemicals. She had heard, when she was still in the facility, that the chemicals that those scientists have given them were chemicals that would have a monster's power. But so far, none of the humans had gotten a reaction from the chemicals at all.

Well, all of them didn't, except for Polka, who still has no clue on how to control them.

After she's got her outfit all fixed up, she then styles her hair back into its pigtail braids. She places her red ribbons into each braid. She looks in the mirror one more time before nodding her head to herself. She then leaves the changing room she then opens the metal door and was surprised to see that there were visitors there. And was even more surprised to see that there were a lot of skeletons here. Polka soon got confused and wondered why they all looked liked Sans and Papyrus, she peeks out from behind of the large test tube like a child, they were talking about a late skirmish and how many monsters got injured during that time, while Gaster was talking about the lastest fluids of DETERMINATION and BRAVERY along with other kinds of fluids that weren't identified yet, until he stops and looks at Polka's direction and smiles at her warmly. "Come out Polka, don't worry, they won't hurt you," He then turns his direction over to the other skeletons, who were now looking back at Gaster. "I would like you all to meet my human assistant, Polka, she is a bit shy so please don't scare her. Especially you Undertale Papyrus, don't hug her too tightly." He announced, Polka slowly steps out from behind of the test tube and stands next to Gaster and tries to keep her head low, not wanting to meet with any of their sockets. Toriel smiles warmly at Polka and leaves, the door slams shut as she closes it, making Polka jump slightly and almost made a yelping noise escape her mouth, she looks up slightly to see the skeleton monsters.

There was a tall lazy skeleton wearing an orange hoodie, and brown cargo pants, smoking a cigaret, staring at her, slightly amused by her jumpiness, there was a small skeleton next to him, he seemed excited and was wearing a dark blue scarf, with metal armor, two blue pinpricks that are shaped as stars. There was another lazy skeleton, he looked short, but slightly taller than the other one, and was slightly taller then Polka by 4 inches, he wore a blue hoodie, basketball shorts, and pink fluffy slippers, the other skeleton wore a red scarf around his neck and was tall just like the other tall skeleton with the orange hoodie but had the personality of the small excited blue skeleton with a cape, he wore blue shorts and red boots with short red gloves. The other ones....were the skeletons that Polka saw during the escape, they slightly scared her a bit with their ticked off expressions, finally, Polka looks at the last two skeletons, they were sort of liked the colorful (Underswap) and scary skeletons (Underfell) but fused together. Polka soon starts to feel anxious seeing so many living skeletons right in front of her, she quickly hides behind Gaster as she feels her face turn a dark red. 

"Heya kiddo, name's Undertale Sans, but you can call me Classic." The skeleton with the blue hoodie says with a lazy grin on his face. "HELLO HUMAN! I AM UNDERTALE PAPYRUS!" The taller skeleton next to Classic said/shouted. "Sup kid, I'm Underswap Papyrus, but you can just call me Carrot." The taller skeleton with the orange hoodie says after Undertale Papyrus. "MWEHEHE, HELLO HUMAN!!! I AM UNDERSWAP SANS! BUT YOU CAN YOU CALL ME BY NICKNAMES, BLUE AND BLUEBERRY!!!" The small excited skeleton says/shouts just like Papyrus did. "HELLO AGAIN PATHETIC SMALL HUMAN, I AM UNDERFELL PAPYRUS! BUT YOU CAN JUST CALL ME BOSS OR FELL" The taller scary skeleton shouts. "Sup dollface, I'm underfell Sans, but for short, you can just call me Edge." The shorter edgy skeleton said. "I AM SWAPFELL SANS, BUT YOU CAN JUST CALL ME SWAPFELL, PLEASE TO KNOW AND MEET THE NEW PET." The shorter skeleton with the scratched right eye shouted. "I'm Swapfell papyrus, nice to meet ya." The last skeleton said. Polka started to feel a little intimidated by all of the voices and whimpered and buried her red face in her sleeves. Gaster pats the chocolate brunette's head gently. "You are all very intimidating when you are all trying to talk to her like that, she can't even understand much of the words!" Gaster scolded.
