Before the match between India and Ireland. The players were given rest for few days and were requested to come by Saturday morning so that they can celebrate the Festival of Lights Diwali together.

Aarohi went to Shreyas's room. He was laying on the bed. Seeing her he sat straight. She went towards him and lay beside, cuddling him. He was shocked by her behaviour but stayed quiet. Before he could speak she closed his mouth and said " I know u don't trust me enough. But please give me a last chance." Saying this she gave him a ticket and started going out. She stopped at the door and said "I know I had hurt u a lot. I did the same thing for u which everyone did for me. It's not easy for you to again trust but please I request u to please give me a chance. I'll be waiting for you at the airport."

The next day Aarohi packed her bags and went to airport. She waited outside without boarding waiting for Shreyas. The last call was given and Aarohi boarded thinking he'll not come. Going inside the plane the attendant helped her with her seat. Aarohi was surprised to see Shreyas sitting there. She didn't know what to say. "Mujhe laga tum nahi aanewali.(I thought u'll not come)" said Shreyas. "Agar nahi aayi toh kya karne ko socha? (If I didn't come what you thought to do?)" questioned Aarohi to which he replied "I would sightsee the city by myself and come back." "Now you don't need to do it by urself I'm there na!" Said Aarohi resting her head on his shoulder.

He was shaking his shoulder so that she won't get proper balance and not too harsh to hurt her. "I didn't say that I forgive u till now" Shreyas questioned. Aarohi just stopped his movement and encircled her arm with his and rested her head peacefully. "But still u came. And don't worry this time ur trust is not going to break." "U know I'm actually very scared (Aarohi looked confused) itna sharif ladka ko leke jaa rahi ho agar kidnap kar diya toh? (U are taking innocent boy with u, what if you kidnap me?)" asked Shreyas. Aarohi just hit him in his stomach. Both of them chuckled at each other and rested their heads on the other seeking comfort.

They landed in Udaipur. Aarohi took him to a hotel she booked. The receptionist gave her the key and they went to the room. The room had 2 beds and a balcony with a swing. "U didn't take two rooms?" Shreyas asked her. "If u want another, u are free to go and take a room" Aarohi said making him roll his eyes. "U'll never give a straight answer to a straight question right?" Shreyas murmured to himself. They freshen up and had their lunch in the room itself.

"So why did you bring me here Chari?" Questioned Shreyas to which Aarohi replied "can you stop asking questions! From the time we came u started ur interrogation." "Okay ma'am" replied Shreyas raising his hands. "Evening we are going to a temple be ready" Aarohi informed him and slept being tired. Shreyas too laid on his bed and drifted into sleep.

Aarohi was the first one to wake. She got ready to go to temple, and she was finally done she woke Shreyas.

He woke up finally after many attempts of Aarohi and went to fresh up. After coming out of the bathroom he actually took a notice of her look. It was his favourite colour which she wore. She was looking gorgeous in that saree. He couldn't stop himself and went near her who was setting her hair near the mirror and back hugged her causing her to stop her work. Her breath hitched when his hands were snaking around her waist and his head on her shoulder.

"So what's the plan?" Asked Shreyas. "We are going to a temple" replied Aarohi coming out of his grip. "Now go get ready fast" Aarohi pushed him.

Later the duo went to the temple. Unknowingly both wished for the same which is being together with each other. They sat there when Aarohi went near the steps and sat there touching it emotionally . Shreyas who didn't understand her emotion went near her wrapping his hand around her. She leaned on him and said "this was where I lost my mom!" He then understood her and consoled her. She took her time and became normal.

"So Mr. Iyer give me the car keys I'll drive" said Aarohi extending her hand for which Shreyas said "are you sure you want to drive I mean in this state" Aarohi just snatched the keys from him rolling her eyes seeing his concern. They both got into the car and there was a comfortable silence in the car. But later Shreyas got annoyed as he was not driving and Aarohi too isn't speaking anything. "Yaar Chari kuch toh bol waise toh har wakt bak bak karti rehti hain! Ab kya hua? I'm getting bored (chari speak something, every time u keep speaking now what happened?)" he said to receive a glare from her. "Acha aur itne din tumne mujhse baat nahin ki tab bore nahi hua? Bada aya I'm getting bored (what happened to that time when u weren't talking to me?)" she imitated him. "Shall I remind you that I still didn't forgive you" Shreyas said annoyed. "Now don't start taunting me. I'll make sure u'll do that too by the time we go back" said Aarohi. "We'll see" challenged Shreyas.

After a while Aarohi stopped at a void place where she arranged their dinner with candles and white roses. The whole place was looking aesthetic. Shreyas was surprised! First by the place then by the decor. He just looked at her while she just dragged him saying "we'll talk later right now I'm very hungry come we'll eat." "Say me when you weren't hungry?" Questioned Shreyas.

They had their dinner peacefully in utter silence. When they are done Aarohi spoke "did you remember this place?" To which Shreyas replied "I can never forget this place chari! This is where I saw my girl for the first time." Aarohi overcome by her emotions hugged him. She then made him sit on the chair and knelt before him holding his hands. "I know I lost ur trust but I wanna ask u for a last chance. I've done numerous mistakes for u to not give me a chance. But kya karu main? Meri itni insecurity and past happenings just kicked off again at that time, that even though I wanted to say yes but my mind played and I said which I shouldn't say. Whatever I say can't erase ur hurt which you felt these days. All I want to say is I want to take our relation forward where it all started. So Mr.Shreyas Iyer will you give me a chance to say myself Mrs.Iyer?" Aarohi completed by opening the box which had a plane ring.

Shreyas couldn't believe what he was seeing or hearing. He also knelt before her saying " I'm considering enough unlike someone. And of course I would like to marry you a chari." He said chuckling. Aarohi just punched him. "Ouch yaar!! Ek toh u should be happy that I didn't take any revenge and aur toh aur I'm accepting ur deal and that too for life time and u are beating me? Ha maana that ur boxer's daughter but that doesn't mean u'll keep on punching me like punch bag." Said Shreyas only to get chased by her.

Aarohi was chasing him while he was escaping. Finally they both stopped panting. Shreyas taking this a chance grabbed wrapping his arm around her waist and pulled towards himself. He tucked her hair behind her ear and cupped her face "u know I've been dying to hold u like this. I was hurt that u didn't trust me and I said too much the other day. I'm sorry for saying all those things to u on the bus. I want you to know that no matter what happens I'll never leave your side. I just want you to trust me in that. Will you?" Said Shreyas.

Aarohi nodded her head saying "I trust u so much Shreyas, but just my past keeps on haunting me. I know u'll say forget the past.  But I don't I can't forget those and now I don't want to forget too. Because I'm sure what all bad happenings I had in past now we're gonna make good memories in future. I never thought I'll love someone after Neil not at least this soon. But u made me fall for u and that too in no time. I'm really sorry!! For not trusting u". By the time Aarohi concluded Shreyas joined their foreheads. They both were feeling each other's presence.  Shreyas leaned further and kissed her. It was a gentle one which expressed their unspoken feelings.

They sat there gazing the stars with Aarohi resting her head on his shoulder. "U know this place holds a special place in my heart. I saw a lady fighting fiercely. And from then I couldn't get her out of my mind.(Intertwining their hands) ab toh usse zindagi bhar nahi chodunga dimag se bhi aur dil se bhi (now I'm not gonna get rid of her from life neither from mind nor heart)" saying this Shreyas kissed her palm.

Later they went to their room and called it a day by cuddling each other.

The duo spent their rest days together roaming around the city and knowing each other better.

As said by the officials everyone returned to the camp on Saturday morning. Shreyas and Aarohi were the last to reach so by the time they went to the hotel all were present there. Seeing the way they entered and the glow on their face the team members understood that everything is sorted between them.

"Bhai lagta hai sab sort ho gaya inke beech isliye chehre se wo hasi wo blush hat ne ki baat hi nahi karaha (bro it seems like everything is sorted between them that's why they both are too smiley and blushing )." Shubman teased them only to earn a smack from Aarohi who teased him back saying "Tu toh baat hi mat kar. I've seen how much ur doing the same thing on ind vs ban match." That was enough for Shubman as he shut his mouth blushing again.

The team celebrated the Festival of Lights together.

The team was preparing for the match against Netherlands. It was just five minutes before toss when Aarohi went near Shreyas who was in dressing room. "All the best for the match. I so wanted to say u this from the first match but couldn't muster the courage. But now I can. So all the best Mr.Batter" Said Aarohi. "Only this or am I getting something else. If see practically u missed wishing me many matches, so there should be compensation right?" Saying this Shreyas held her by her waist smirking.

Aarohi's eyes widened and she tried to free herself from his grip saying someone would come. Yet his hold was firm on her. Having no option Aarohi kissed his cheeks. "I think u are smart enough to what I meant and u still didn't do it. Ab toh I'll not leave until I get what I want" saying this Shreyas jerked her towards himself and cleared the hair strands from her face.

Aarohi closed her eyes while Shreyas leaned forward only to get separated from because of fake coughing by Shubman and Ishan. "Kya timing hai donon ki(what a timing they have)" murmured Shreyas. The duo got embarrassed as Ishan said "I swear on Shubi that I didn't see  u guys kissing each other." Aarohi got embarrassed and ran from there blushing. While Shubman smirked at Shreyas who gave them an annoyed looking saying "koi kaam nahi hai kya? Jab dekho kahi se bhi tapak padte hain (don't u guys have any work? U'll appear from no where every time)." "Oh bhai Saab hold ur horses!! And be thankful for us that we saved you both." Said Ishan for which Shreyas gave confused look. "Once think what if some camera captures this? Humari pyaari behen ka socho ka kya haal hogi? (What will happen to our lovely sister?)" Shubman said only to get a sarcastic reply from Shreyas "oh really so sweet of you guys. Ab bhaago ground mein warna chappal se maarunga donon ko (now go away or else I'll beat u with chappal)".
Ishan gave him a look to which Shreyas asked what? "U are not wearing chappals ur wearing shoes" saying this Ishan ran outside shouting bachao.

The match started and the openers played well. But both of them reached the pavilion soon. Even Virat too was out and now Shreyas and Rahul were playing. Shreyas was playing aggressively and scored a ton. He removed his helmet and lift the bat towards the pavilion. He resumed his playing. While Shubman and Ishan who are on either side of Aarohi started teasing. Ishan was the first to start "aisa kya keh diya tune Aaru! Ye toh kuch aur hi khel raha hai (what did you say him Aaru that he playing soo good?)" "kaha nahi diya hai, haina? (she didn't say, she gave right Aarohi?)" said Shubman giving a hi-fi to Ishan. Aarohi was trying hard not to blush. As they continued their teasing she just got up from their and sat in between Rohit and Virat sulking and complaining about the them to latter.

The match ended in India's victory making them unbeaten in the league level. "Bhai I think u both should bowl more often" said Aarohi in fan girl mode. "Ha and u should do what u did before match more often so that Shreyas score hundred every match" Sai Ishan earning a glare from Aarohi. "Aisa kya deh diya Aaru? If it's some medical advice give us too" said Jaddu smirking at her. Shreyas just covered his ears with headphones and closed his eyes smiling. Aarohi was too embarrassed to say anything and seeing her whole team laughed. After everyone moved on in their own chattering Aarohi punched Shreyas on stomach saying "just because of you everyone are laughing" he too laughed making her pout angrily.  She just grabbed his arm and slept sulking.

As the Indian team thought it was against New Zealand they are playing semifinal. And thinking about they remembered that haunting memory. That's when they got a call from someone who they didn't expect. Yea it was their Mahi bhai who called them, because he knows his kiddos too well that he can say they again think about 2019.  Not only today after and sometimes before match too he received their calls giving the team much needed support. But he couldn't appear at the stadium for some reason and that's enough for the media to create stories around it.

He said them to focus on the match and don't think about the past.

The whole India was praying to win this match and well the team started off nicely with Virat and Shreyas scoring a ton.  But during the second innings whole India lost the hope seeing Kane and Mitchell playing but thanks to Shami's bowling as he made the match in India's favour by taking 7 wickets.

Finally the team India took relief as they overcame the semifinal and Kiwis curse. But fate wasn't our side in the final as  everything was in Australia's favour be it toss, Rohit's wicket, everything. That was the first time poopoo Aarohi saw her brother's emotional. And that was the first match where no one were really interested in whose gonna get the best fielder. It was as if she was in a different dressing room. The meet with prime minister was short and after his exit the place was soo silent. She even saw Virat being reluctant to go and receive the player of the tournament award.

She didn't understand what to say or do at that time. Later everyone went to their but she doubt anyone had slept. She called the person who would solve the problem but he too didn't say any idea as he himself couldn't do anything but mourn about the lost after the semifinal. His answer was simple give them some space. But only she knew giving them their space would never keep the team like before. But again thinking of chances she thought leaving them is better.

She went to Shreyas room only to see curled up. As soon as he saw he sat and hugged her placing his hands around her. She kept her hand in his hair giving him the solace. He was crying saying "it's all because me I couldn't play like I played in the previous matches. I couldn't contribute to my team. You say Aarohi I'm not a good batsman nah?"Aarohi removed his hands from her and sat on the bed crossing her legs. He kept his head on her lap. "U are the best batsman for me,I don't care what everyone think of you" saying this she kissed him. But still Shreyas was blabbering. She let him express himself as she knows saying anything now is useless. Finally he slept with much difficulty. She covered him in the blanket and got down kissing his forehead.

Now Aarohi was concerned about another person. By seeing Shreyas she got to everyone are gonna blame themselves. Even her Rohit and Virat bhai too, but she was less worried about them as her bhabhi's are there with them. A while before she went through insta. Of course whole India is shattered but to her amusement there were no negativity or hatred for the players. All of them appreciated the team. But only one person was getting the hatred and that was her bhaiyu. She wondered where he as she couldn't find when the whole team was present. She went to check his room and as expected he was not there. Sighing she searched the whole hotel and at least went to the terrace. As expected he was there with his hung down watching those shitty trolls on him. She silently sat beside him. "Taare gin rahe ho aap?" She asked. He saw towards her and again started watching the stars. "Woh humesha aisa hi rahenge bhaiyu. Chahe log unse pyar kar ya nah kare. Unhe koi farak nahin parta. Aur aap toh humare sitare hai,The whole ict. We want to see guys shining like those only bright and not bothered about what people think. And u know bhai jo log aapko troll kar rahe hai nah wohi log aapki taarif bhi karenge. They just need something to get, likes and all those. Aapne toh aapki puri khoshish ki. Ki hai nah? (He nodded his head) then? If u don't try and lose then we have to feel, not after trying so hard."  "But I couldn't play my type of shots Aaru. Those 360 degree shot. My trademark shots. I failed my team today. And people are mocking saying this guy is no 1 batsman in t20" Reasoned Sky. Aarohi snatched his mobile saying "promise me u won't go through these things few days. And dare if u say anything to my bro. Of course man he is still the no 1 batsman in t20. And rahi baat aapki trademark shots ki then no one also played their individual trademark shots. So stop blaming urself and go have a nap now. It's already 2." He was about to deny but Aarohi said "I'm not gonna listen anything bhai or else I'm gonna call bhabhi she'll set u right." He just gave a hug to her and went to his room thanking her.

As soon as he went Rohit and Virat kept a hand on her shoulder saying "u are the best sister we could ask for.  Thank you for making him understand. We are searching for him only and u are with u so heard everything. Now u also go sleep." "So that u both sit and mourn here? Aap sabke baare mein soch rahe ho aur aap donon ke baareme? Even u too are blaming urself right. Ro bhai thinking he isn't a good captain as he lost the toss and u Vi bhai thinking ur bad luck to the team haina? Let me tell u before only that Ro bhai ur the best captain in this World Cup. And not that Pat Cummins. And u Vi bhai we are lucky enough to see you play date u people think like that warna" Aarohi stopped abruptly seeing Vi's expressions. "Warna kya?" Rohit asked. To which Aarohi replied "mein Mahi bhai ko call karke bataungi unke ladle kya kya soch rahe hain. Even he knows actually he only told me but still." Aarohi just hugged them both.  All three of them sat there aarohi in between them. "Bhai we ict fans are really scared u know to see ur last pull shot Ro bhai and last cover drive Vi bhai. We actually don't want that day to come. Promise me aap donon bhi mahi bhai ki tarah, WC nahi jitapaye ye soch ke retirement announce nahi karenge nah?" She asked them innocently. To which both of them looked at each other and chuckled at her. "Pagal main India ko ek cup dekhe hi jaaunga." Said Rohit "aur main hundred hundreds marke hi aur India ko har bar jitake hi" said Virat earning a smack from Rohit who said "self obsessed Banda hai ye." Three of them laughed.

Aarohi looked both of them and wished to keep their intact like this only not only them the whole team.
