𝓐𝓹𝓱𝓶𝓪𝓾'𝓼 𝓹𝓸𝓿 (this takes place in college)

I turn on my side for the 100th time and I softly groan. Normally sleeping is my specialty, why can't I do it now? Tara is dead asleep and is snoring her head off, like normal. That's not what the issue is though. My mind won't shut off, so I think my anxiety has a big part in this, which isn't out of the ordinary when this happens. But there are a lot of things that I'm anxious about. For example: I'm a senior in college, I have many tests in a few days, I graduate in a few months, I'm dealing with owople saying that I'm a dating Blaze, which I would never do in a million years!!! Suddenly I see my phone light up. It's a text from Aaron (he has a phone from his dad and also I'm making Derek a good guy in this whole book because he's an amazing character and hes 𝒉𝒐𝒕 𝒂𝒔 𝒉𝒆𝒍𝒍)

Yay Aaron is coming to get me! I get up and write a note to Tara that way she doesn't flip out in the morning. I then grab my phone, a phone charger, and a light jacket and walk out of my dorm. I go to the front and I see Aaron's car in the distance, even though it's like 2 in the morning. I let my ears and tail out when he pulls up (Aaron turned her on accident and she survived, Derek wasn't happy but got over it a few weeks later.) and I get in his car. "Hey Aaron... thanks for coming to get me. I don't think I could drive with how much is going through my head, and I don't wanna get into an accident." I explain to him as I'm getting my seatbelt on. Aaron lives about 30 minutes from the campus so it's a nice car ride at night.
Aaron smiles at me "you have your ears and tail out? Why?"
"They started to hurt because of me not showing them. I only show them in the shower and that's to wash them and then I put them away immediately after my shower"
"Aph, that's not good... you can get a really bad headache from that..." He turns on the radio and my favorite song 'Hey there Delilah' starts playing. I smile and get in a comfortable position.
"Why does this song have to come on at 2 am... it always relaxes me." I slightly yawn and I see Aaron smile at me gently.
"Aph, relax. I'll keep you safe, okay?" Aaron stops at a stoplight and reaches in the back and grabs the blanket he keeps in the back seat and hands it to me. I take it and cover myself with it. I start falling asleep after a while. Before I fall asleep I hear Aaron softly sing, "Hey there, Delilah I know times are gettin' hard But just believe me, girl Someday I'll pay the bills with this guitar" I fall asleep smiling with the thought that Aaron wants a future with me.

I smile when I hear a Aph start softly snoring. She hasn't been sleeping well and since she doesn't have classes tomorrow she'll spend the day with me getting all the rest she needs. I pull into my garage a few minutes later and I see she's still asleep. I park the car and get out and go over to her side. I take her into my house and I feel her snuggle me. I go to my bed and I lay her down gently and lay next to her.

"Goodnight beautiful"
