"Alright then it is settled. In 3 months, my oldest son Garroth will marry Aphmau in Okhasis and they will take over our businesses.  Pleasure doing business with you Zach." Garte stands up and shakes Zach's hand. 

Zach went home and told Aph the news. And well... she wasn't happy.

"WHAT?! BUT DAD THATS NOT FAIR! I THOUGHT YOU DIDN'T BELIEVE IN ARRANGED MARRIAGE!"

"Well Aph, its going to benefit both of our families a lot. After you two get married then the two family businesses will be-" Aphmau cuts him off.

"OF COURSE THIS IS ABOUT THE FAMILY BUSINESS! NO MATTER WHAT I SAY ITS ALWAYS ABOUT THE FAMILY BUSINESS! WHAT WOULD MOM SAY! IF SHE WAS ALIVE SHE'D-" Aph screams in his face but was cut off by her father with a hard slap to the face.

"YOUNG LADY YOU BETTER DROP YOUR ATTITUDE RIGHT NOW! THE DECISION HAS ALREADY BEEN MADE AND THERES NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOU IT! NOW GO UP TO YOUR ROOM RIGHT NOW! I DON'T WANT TO DEAL WITH YOUR SHIT APHMAU!"

Aphmau runs upstairs and starts crying. "I guess I have to m-marry Garroth... but I'm already legally married to Aaron. I'll tell him when we hang out tomorrow." Aphmau gets showered and goes to bed early.

-When Aph is with Aaron- (Aphs POV)

"Aph... hun whats wrong? You seem down.." Aaron hugs me and rubs my back.

"Aaron... my 'dad' made an agreement with Garte.. and you aren't going to like it. But I have to marry Garroth. He did it for the stupid business and... I don't know what to do" I break down into Aarons chest. Aaron holds me closer and gently rocks me

"Aph I'm so sorry. Do you wanna go talk to my dad and see what he can do?" Aaron lifts my head up and wipes my tears. "He and my mom know about our marriage so maybe he can do something about it like talk to Garte or your dad and try and stop the marriage. you know they would because they love you like their o- aph why is there a bruise on your cheek? Did Your OWN FATHER hit you?! Oh when I get my hands on your father he is so dead. Anyways lets go to my place and tell my parents okay babe? I'll carry you" Aaron stands up with me in his arms and carries me to his parents house. On the way there I must have fallen asleep but who can blame me. I barely sleep at home because of my father.

(Aarons point of view)

Aph fell asleep pretty quick after I started walking back to my house, and I knew she was exhausted. I wish I could just run away with her and keep her away from her father. I hold Aph closer and I call my mom and she answers almost immediately.

"Hey Aaron, is something wrong? You never call when you're having a date with your wife."

"Uh yeah something is really wrong. I have Aph asleep in my arms and I'm almost home. Is dad busy because it is really important and it can not wait.

"Your dad is finishing up an email right now and he's hopefully almost done. Do you want me to get a spot on the couch set up for Aph so she can sleep?"

"Yea... and an ice pack. See you in a minute or so mom. Also thanks for treating her like one of your own because it really means the world to her."

"Of course hunny. Anything to make you and her comfortable." My mom hangs up and I continue walking to the house.

When I arrive to the front door, my mom opened it for me and smiled. I take Aphmau to the couch and lay her down gently. She smiles in her sleep and I look at my mom.

"Mom... Aphmau's dad hit her last night... I want her out of there and away from her father..." I take a deep breath and run a hand through my hair.

"Oh sweetie I know you do... is there another reason you needed to talk to your dad and I about?" 

I see my dad walk down the stairs and he smiles at us. Quickly that smile turns into a face of concern and worry.

"Aaron is everything okay? You look stressed."

I shake my head andI explain the situation to my parents.

My dad's eyes widen immediately."An arranged marriage between her and Garroth Ro'meave?! That its illegal because 1. she's only 20, 2. she's already married, 3. arranged marriages are illegal here in Phoenix Drop. So how would Garté eve- Okhasis. The Ro'meave's have a place in Okhasis and I know it isn't illegal there... but thankfully we have that place in Falcon claw that you and Aph can stay at for a few weeks."

"Her dad has tracking on her phone. He'd know where she is and go after her immediately" I explain to my parents.

My mom smiles "we can get her a phone under our name and a new number so he has no communication with her... would that make you feel better?" I nod and smile.

"I'm going to take Aph to my room because she sleeps better in there..."

"Yea I'll call Garté and try and figure this out and see if I can stop the wedding"

I gently pick up Aph and hold her close. I hope my dad can stop the wedding. She's my wife and ain't nobody else going to have my lovely wife.
