Previously on Chapter 33

"Okay! Okay! We get it!" I said, feeling annoyed by these two's arguments. "Now we need your help. I need everyone together at the base of the canyon wall" Aang said. Aang take his glider and flies away. I turn to my friends and smiles softly at them. "Good luck you two..." I said. I open my glider and follows Aang.

Y/N P.O.V

We waited for a while for the two tribes to catch up with us. "Now what are we going to do after this?" I said. "I don't know... we'll just wait and see" he said. I let out a hum in agreement.

Soon enough the two tribes comes into view. I notice how the tribes leaders glance at each other with full hatred. This is not going to be easy. Not as long as they won't work together.

"Please everyone, as soon as we get out of here we can eat and then go on our separate ways..." I said. "But we need you all to put your heads together and figure out a way up this cliff" Aang said.

"Maybe the Zhang can climb the wall with their disgusting finger nails" Gan Jin leader said, staring at the Zhang leader. "Oh sorry, I forgot that to the Gan Jin unclipped fingernails is a crime punishable by twenty years in jail!" Zhang leader said. "Why, you dirty thief!" Gan Jin leader said. "You pompous fools!" Zhang said. The two tribes begin to shout insult at one another. Oh Spirits... here we go again.

"Guys! Focus!! How many time do we have to say it? Harsh words won't solve problems. Actions will..." I hear Aang said. I turn to look at him in disbelief. He notices the look on my face and turns to look at me. "What?" He said. I let out a sigh and face-palm. "It's not gonna end well..." I muttered in a low voice. But Aang still hears me, and looks at me in confusion.

"Perhaps the boy avatar is right" Zhang leader said. Aang grins happily and turns to look at me. I roll my eyes at him.

"Action will!" Gan Jin leader said. They draw their swords, making Aang yells in surprise. They lunges forward and clings their sword. "To the death! And let this be the end of this rivalry!" Gan Jin leader said.

"I told you so..." I said, turning to look at Aang who visibly panicked. "What was I suppose to do?!" He said, waving his hands frantically. I push him to the tribes. "Do something! You started this!!" I said.

"You know... I take it back. Harsh words aren't so bad" he said. "Aang, seriously?" I said. "What??" He said, turning to me with a pale face. The two tribes just ignores him. They continue to fight one another.

I use my air-bending and split them into halves. This makes them get blown away. I breathe heavily as I turn to look at them. I gasps in shock when I see it. They all brought food with them!! I can't believe this.

"Is that... food?" Aang said, disbelief. "Everyone smuggled food down here?!" I said, angrily. They look away from us. "Unbelievable! You guys put our lives in danger because you couldn't go without a snack for a day?! You're all awful!!" Aang yelled at them. He turns his head and his eyes grew wide. I raise my eyebrow at him and turns where he's looking at.

"So... hungry. Is that an egg custard in that tart?" He said. I let out a huffed at him. I notice movements out of the corner of my eyes and turn my head. My eyes widened when I see crawlers... and lots of them.

"Oh no! That's a lot of canyon crawlers!" Katara said. "We barely survived one!" Sokka said in panic voice. "They're coming back for me! They've had a taste and they're coming back for me!" The guide said as he backs away in fear.

"Sokka wait!" Katara said, stopping Sokka as he rush forward. He stops and turns to look at her. "I don't care about this feud... I just want us to get out of here alive" she said. "Me too, I only took their side 'cause they fed me" Sokka said, smiling at her.

Aang and I try our best to fight off these nasty beast. But as soon as we send them away, they get up and starts attacking the refugees. As hard as we try to fight these beasts, we are clearly outnumbered and we are starting to get exhausted.

Aang turns his head to look at one of the crawlers. I turn my head to look at what he's looking to see the crawler is eating on the food. My eyes widened as I come up with something.

"Aang, I have an idea" I said. He nods his head. "Everybody! Watch me and do what I do!" I said. I try to distract the crawler with food. Then quickly cover its snout with a bag. I get on its back, with Aang on the back.

"Good thinking, sis..." Aang said. I smile at him. He turns to look at the others, who have followed our lead. "Now follow me! We're riding out of this hole!" He said. I tie a bag of food on a stick, while Aang holds our gliders. I wave it across to get the crawlers attention. They turn their attention towards me. I turn the stick and start luring them. We start to crawl up the wall.

"Everyone, get off!" I yelled. Aang and I jump off the crawler. Everyone doing the same. I run forward and throw the bags of food down the canyon as far as I can. The crawlers follow the food down the canyon.

I let out a sigh of relief and slumps on the ground. Aang sits next to me, hugging me. "We made it, sis!" He said, happily.

"I never knew the Gan Jin could get his hands dirty like that..." Zhang leader said. "And I never knew you Zhangs were so reliable in a pinch" Gan Jin leader said. "Perhaps we're not so different after all..." Zhang leader said. I let out a sigh of relief, as Aang grins widely at them.

"Too bad we can't rewrite history. You thieves stole our sacred orb from Jin Wei!" Gan Jin leader said, while drawing out his sword. "You tyrants unjustly imprisoned Wei Jin for twenty long years!!" Zhang leader said. "Oh Gosh... not again..." I said, laying on the ground in despair.

Aang sighs in frustration. "Wait a second... Jin Wei? Wei Jin? I know those guys!" He said. "Yes, yes, we are all aware of the story" Gan Jin leader said. "No, I mean I really knew them. I might not look it, but my sister and I are one hundred and twelve years old..." he said.

"We were there hundred years ago on the day you're talking about" he said. I raise an eyebrow at him as he starts talking about the history. How those two were twins... and it was all just a game. I didn't know about that... so... he's lying. Good thinking Aang.

"You're saying the sacred orb was actually a sacred ball?" Zhang leader said. "Nope, just a regular ball" Aang said, smiling cheekily. "What about our tribe's redemption ritual?" Gan Jin leader said.

"That's what the game was called, redemption. As soon as you get the ball from one end to the other, everyone would yell "redemption"! Don't get me wrong, Wei Jin was kind of a slob and Jin Wei was a little stuffy, that much is true. But they respected each other differences enough to share the same playing field" he said.

"It's suppose it's time we forget the past..." Zhang leader said. "And look to the future..." Gan Jin leader said, while bowing. The Zhang leader bows back and we look at them happily.

We're now standing next to Appa. "Good to see you, boy..." Aang said. "Did you miss us?" I said, patting his fur. He licks the two of us, covering us in his slobber.

I hear footsteps behind us. "I cannot thank the two of you enough, Avatars" Gan Jin leader said. "Well, you know we try" Aang said. We turn to look at him, making him back away in disgust.

"Let us travel to the Earth Kingdom as one tribe..." Zhang leader said. The two tribes starts cheering. I smile as I watch them walk away. I hear running and turn my head to see the guide. "I'm going too! I'm sick of this place!!" He said, making me let out a soft giggle.

"That's some luck you knew Jin Wei and Wei Jin" I hear Sokka said. Aang turns to me and winks. I let out a giggle and turn my head to look at Sokka. "You could call it luck..." Aang starts. "Or you could call it lying" I finished, with a grin. As Aang and I give each other a high five. "Good one, Aang..." I said.

"What?!" Sokka said, flabbergasted. "He made the whole thing up, Sokka..." I said, giggling softly. "You did not! That's so wrong!!" Katara said. "Oh, I think it's brilliant" I said, grinning. He grins back at me. "Now where is that custard tart? I'm starving!" He said, looking around. I just giggle at my brother.
