The snow still fell, like tiny sheets of paper, swaying in the wind, Shelley and Aaliyah sat at her table beside the frost coated window that stared out towards the end of the pavers, hidden under a sheet of white. The recent events still had them shaken thinking about what could've happened if Shelley hadn't looked outside to see what caused the bang, or if Aaliyah couldn't stand to be able to reach the house. Though they could relax now, she was safe, sound, and warm inside Shelley's small deserted cabin, at least 2 kilometres from any town, but all that meant now was that they sat there, not knowing what to do, as the world turn's to white, all around them. Suddenly, a white object darted through the garden, (though it seemed to limp at the same time,) it ran around for a minute or so, but then stopped and stumbled, it turned towards the two women inside the house and proceeded to dart directly at them, it stopped by the door and scratched a small piece of it, most likely trying to get inside, Aaliyah, being the closest to the door, opened it to greet the small creature, it happily hopped inside but fell, just a few feet away from the now closed door, it was a small snow bunny. Shelley stood, still confused as to why the critter was so clumsy, she peered outside and was horrified by what she saw, there was blood all around the garden, and a small red and white lump, which appeared to be something other than the snow, she quickly reverted her gaze to the bunny, there was something that she hadn't noticed before, it had only 3 feet, it's left forefoot was missing, Shelley panicked and grabbed the first aid kit, just as Aaliyah walked in holding a few small carrots. Unaware of the Bunny's injury, she was quickly thrown into a state of panic as she saw Shelley bandaging the leg and cleaning the blood, they both glanced at each other with worried faces and proceeded to run out the door holding the bunny and the carrots that remained in Aaliyah's hands, Shelley carefully placed the bunny in the back seat of her car and sprinted around to the driver's seat slipping on rocks and slush in the process, after Aaliyah dived into the back seat, (being careful not to hit the bunny,) they speed off towards the vet. They run inside the small building (practically breaking down the door) and ask to see a vet to help the poor bunny,  they take it into a vacant room and rush it onto the table. Aaliyah and Shelley slumped down on two spare seats and catch their breath, eventually, they're asked to depart, as it will take a day or two for the bunny to recover, they take their time on the way home as they think about everything that has happened over the last few days, Shelley finally decided in her head "I need a vacation."
