Third person P.O.V

Today was Arata Toshio's birthday. Everyone was getting ready for the big day. There would be a ball thrown in his honor.

Tadashi's P.O.V

(Oh and update on Tadashi's character she now has red hair.)

Nuuuu!!!!! Not morning! I wanna sleep some more!

I get up annoyed that I have to wake up. I see Aalia is still asleep so I decided I should wake her up. I walk up to her bed about to wake her, but I felt like I should annoy her.

So I jump on top of her bed and start jumping and singing.

"CAN YOU FEEL THE LOVE TONIGHT!!!" I sing really loudly.

(Oh lion king didn't exist back then? Well pssssshhhhttt I don't care)

She instantly wakes up with a death glare.

Uh-oh. I think regretting what I had just done.

Aalia's P.O.V

I was having nightmares about those ghoul things. I just couldn't take my mind off of them.

Suddenly I hear something really loud and snap back to reality.

I wake up to find my stupid cousin jumping and singing.

I didn't mean to, but I guess I gave her a death glare. And it clearly scared her.

"I'm sorry I was just having a bad dream" I say feeling bad I scared her.

"What was it about? Do you wanna talk about it?" She says sounding like a mom.

"No I'm okay. Anyways let's get ready for today!" I say trying to change the subject.

Today was the day of the ball. Our outfits had been planned so thank God I don't need to spend hours trying to put an outfit together.

There was only one bathroom so I let Tadashi shower first. I just go and read my book.

I can hear Tadashi singing in the shower. Oh my god Tadashi. I think annoyed.

So blah blah blah I go and shower too.

Emiko and Sakura were coming over to get ready with us.

While Tadashi and I just sit and talk there was a knock at the door.

Tadashi runs to the door and says "HELLOOO, who is it?"

We hear someone say "YOUR MOM!!!" I immediately knew it was Emiko.

"Heyyyy!!!!" We all day in unison.

It was time to get ready.

"Ugh! I don't wanna wear a corset!" I complained like a baby.

Emiko grabs my shoulders "woman just shut up and wear it!" She says trying to stay serious but just ends up laughing like a crazy seal.

We all had our dresses on and now time for make-up. I wasn't a big fan of make-up so I only put on eyeliner and lip gloss. Emiko, Sakura and Tadashi were like professionals when it came to make-up.

We were all in the carriage about to go to the Palace for the royal ball.

As the others were talking I zoned out. I couldn't get my mind off of those ghoul things. I thought they were fake. My mom always told me stories about them as a kid. But I always thought they were just stories. I remember being scared of them and having nightmares. Has my nightmare come true?

I snap back to reality when the carriage stops and Tadashi claps her hands in front of my face.

"Are you okay?" Emiko asks me.

"Yeah, why wouldn't I be?"

"You kind of looked sad when you were thinking." Emiko says.

"Oh don't worry about that I was just thinking. Anyways let's go!" I say trying to avoid the conversation.

We all jump out of the carriage and walk to the door.

Emiko's P.O.V

As we got closer to the door my heart started pounding. I just realized that I was going to meet Arata for the first time in person!

"Oh gawd! I really like him. What if he doesn't like me? What if he thinks I'm wierd? I really want him to like me." My heart rate started to increase really fast.
Tadashi and Aalia were waking in front of me and Sakura was next to me.
"Are you okay?" Sakura asks me.

Damn how does she always know when something is wrong with me.

"It's about Arata isn't it?"

Being at a loss for words I just nod.

"Don't worry he'll like you. Your amazing, smart and funny." Sakura says putting her hand on my shoulder and smiling.

Her words made me feel better and I went back to my normal wierd self.

When we get to the door we are greated by a butler.

"Good evening ladies. We are pleased to have you as our guests. Please enjoy the ball." The butler says opening the door and leading us to the ballroom.

"WOW!!!!" We all say in unison.

"This place is amazing!" Tadashi says all excited.

While everyone was completely in awe, something caught my eye.

"FOOOOOODDDDD!!!!!" I say walking to the food table. There were so many options. I might have diabetes at the end of this.

Sakura's P.O.V

"Oh my gawd Emiko. You and your food" I think laughing.

I'm really worried about her. She really seems to like Arata. Hopefully he likes her back.

When I snap out of my thoughts I notice Aalia and Tadashi had gone somewhere else.

"Great, they left me" I sigh. figure I could do some exploring.

Arata's P.O.V

Today was my 17th birthday. I am one year closer to being a man.

The royal dresser gave me clothes to change into. After I was fully changed someone knocked on the door.

"Come in!"

"Your highness, Lady Aalia and her friends are here" my butler says opening the door.

"Thank you. I'll be done shortly"

After he leaves I grab my crown and walk to the mirror. As I put it on I think about Emiko. We have never met, but when I invited Aalia to the party she asked if she could bring a friend and I said yes. She told me a lot about her so I decided to write her a letter. I remember that day like it was yesterday.

Flashback

After Aalia told me about Emiko. I was interested in getting to know her. I wrote her a letter hoping she wouldn't think I was being creepy. And amazingly she didn't. We talked for weeks. I started to like her. She was wierd but good wierd. She had an amazing personality and a great sense of humor.

End of flashback

Today I was finally going to meet her. I hope she'll like me. I walk out of my room and walk to the ballroom.
