○ Yumi's P.O.V ○

The guards had separated us into different places. Me, Junior, Arata, Emiko, Sakura, Tadashi and Kenta were taken to a huge room made of metal walls. They cuffed our legs and hands to the walls using chains.

I was so curious as to what was about to happen, and if we were going to live. I looked around the room and noticed a man I have never net before. He looked lost in thought, but I cleared my throat which caught his attention.

"Who are you?" I asked. He slightly laughed while looking at me.

"Hello Yumi"

"How do you know my name?"

"I know all of you. I'm A.T"

Everyone's jaw dropped as soon as he said that.

"You're A.T?!" Junior asked so shocked.

"Why are you here?' Kenta asked.

"Well I did have to make sure my niece was okay" he said.

"Niece?" I asked.

"Oh I forgot you guys didn't know. Aalia is my niece, her father is my older brother"

"What?! All this time you were her uncle?!" Junior yelled.

"Yes, I didn't want to tell her because if I told her she would want to find me, and her finding me wouldn't be safe for us both" he said with a sad look.

"Wow, she's going to freak when she finds out" I said.

"You really think she'll find us?" He asked me.

"I know she will" I said with hope.

○ Aalia's P.O.V ○

"Ow" I rolled down something and fell on the ground. I got up and dusted myself off. It was hard to see and hard to breath too. The air was thick and I felt weak.

I began walking, hoping I'd find some way out. I tried my best to watch where I was going, but it wouldn't be easy since there was barely any light.

"*sigh* is there any end to this tunnel?" I said breathlessly.

Just as I said that I heard someone talking. "Hello Aalia"

"Huh? Who's there?" I turned around and squinted. But I couldn't see anything.

"You really want to find your friends don't you?"

Hearing the voice again, I realized who it was.

"Alexander! Show yourself!" I yelled.

"Hmm how about, no. Ehehhehehehe"

"Ugh! Shut it old man! I'm tired of you!"

"Talking to me like that won't get you closer to your friends"

"You let them go!"

"If you can find them I will. But until you do, I need more test subjects."

"Don't touch them, or else!"

"Haha, what could you do to me? Hah, don't worry I'll use the servants"

"Why are you so messed up?!"

"Hah, because it's fun to be messed up. Anyways, you have an hour to get here before I turn all your friends into full ghouls"

"No!" I bashed my hands on the walls and he didn't respond anymore.

"I have to find everyone quickly" I ran as fast as I could through the tunnel.

○ Ryuuji's P.O.V ○

"Ugh" I sat up and grabbed my head. I hit my head when I fell down.

I opened my eyes and looked around. I was in some kind of lab.
I got up off the floor and looked around.

"Hello Ryuuji" startled by the voice I immediately turn and try to punch the person. But before I could, someone grabbed my arm and twisted it. "Gahh!"

"Wow, you actually tried to punch me" I looked up and saw Alexander.

"You piece of shit!" I tried to attack him, but two guys with red eyes held me down.

"Ryuuji just face it, you're never going to beat me."

"Yes I will!"

"No you won't, even you aren't strong enough to fight off two full ghouls"

I looked at the two guys holding me and saw that they had eyes like Aalia.

I saw Alexander walking towards me with a needle in his hands.

"Get away from me!" I tried to get away, but the two ghouls were strong.

The needle went into my neck, and I immediately felt woozy.

"Nighty night boy" that was the last thing I heard before passing out.

○ Third Person P.O.V ○

Yumi couldn't help but bite her nails. She was getting nervous as the time went by.

"Yumi if you don't stop biting your nails you won't have any left" Emiko said to her.

"Sorry I can't help it. Something bad is definitely going to happen." Yumi leaned her head back against the wall.

Yumi tried to fall asleep, but as soon as she was almost asleep, the door slammed open revealing Alexander. Everyone looked at him with fear in their eyes.

Yumi looked around him and noticed three people.
"Ryuuji?"

When she said his name all he did was growl at her. She looked at him and noticed his eyes were pitch black, like he didn't even have eyes.

"*gasp* Ryuuji!" She yelled.

"He can't hear you" Alexander said bluntly.

"What did you do to him?" Junior stared at him coldly.

"He's under my control. As long as I have this, everyone of my creatures are under my control" he said while holding up a necklace with a red gem. "Soon even you and Junior will be under my control"

"I'll never let you control me" Yumi glared at him.

"You won't have much of a choice" Alexander began walking towards her. Yumi continued to glare at him, but as he got closer and closer, fear was starting to take over. He grabbed her by her hair and pulled out a scissor.

"What are you doing?!" She yelled.

He didn't respond to her, he just cut her hair. He cut it so short it was in the middle of her neck.

"What was that for?!'

"You'll find out later" he walked back to his little group. "Watch them" he instructed Ryuuji as he walked out, the two ghouls following behind.

The door closed and Ryuuji stood in front of it. Everyone looked at him, he looked like he was dead.

○ Aalia's P.O.V ○

"*pant**pant* I've been running for forever. When will this stupid tunnel end?!"

"This tunnel must be doing something to my powers. I've tried to use demon speed, but it's not working*sigh*" I pushed my bangs back with my hand and looked around.

I felt so frustrated and I need to let it out. I slammed my fists against the wall. Soon a bunch of lights turned on and I could see.

I walked forward slightly and saw I either had to go left or right. "I hope this isn't a maze"

~ 30 Minutes Later ~

"I think I'm going in circles" I stopped for a second and noticed a weird feeling on my foot.

I looked down and noticed a few pink strands of hair. I picked it up and instantly knew it was Yumi's.

"*gasp* Yumi" in front of me were more, making a trail. I followed them, hoping I'd find Yumi.

~ Minutes Later ~

I was now standing in front of a huge wooden door. I placed my hand on the handle and slowly opened the door. My eyes started to water when I spotted my best friend.

"Aalia!" She ran and hugged me.

"Yumi! What happened to you're hair?"

"Alexander cut it so he could get you here."

"When I find him I'm going to teach him a lesson" I frowned and clenched my fists.

"Aalia, I don't think this is a battle you can win"

"What do you mean?"

"Alexander has clearly been planning this out for a long time. After the ghoul transformation was a success on you he started turning more people. He's even turning the servants"

"What? This is all crazy"

"He even did something to Ryuuji" She looked down.

"What did he do?" I stared at her wide-eyed.

"I don't know, but he has these dead like eyes and he only listens to Alexander"

"Come on. We need to find everyone" I grabbed her hand and ran through the door.

○ Third Person P.O.V ○

Alexander has finished turning the servants into ghouls, and now its Aalia's friends turn.

They were all put into a circle and had pipes attached to their veins.

"Do you think we'll turn into those things?" Sakura asked Emiko.

"I don't know. I hope not" Emiko whispered the last part.

"Kyyaaaaaaa!!!!" Tadashi let out an ear shattering scream.

"What's wrong?!' Emiko asked. Tadashi was in too much pain to talk.

"She must be turning" A.T said.

"No this can't happen" Junior frowned, but he was now starting to feel the pain. He closed his eyes, hoping this was all just a dream. He slightly opened his eyes and saw his best friend, Ryuuji, standing there and watching.
"Come on Ryuuji. Help us. This isn't you, you don't have to listen to Alexander. Please, just help us" he clenched his teeth.

He noticed for a split second that Ryuuji's eyes had turned back to normal, but soon went back to their dead look. Ryuuji can see what's happening, but he can't control his own body. It's hurts him to see everyone in that pain.

Tadashi's eye started turning red and black. Everyone's eyes started feeling tingly.

Aalia and Yumi ran into the room and saw the horrible thing that was happening.

"*gasp*" Aalia ran to everyone, but Ryuuji grabbed her.

"Ryuuji let me go!" She tried to wiggle out of his grip.

"Yumi go take care of everyone. I'll keep Ryuuji distracted!." She yelled.

Yumi ran to her friends, but tons of spikes came out of nowhere and pierced her skin.

"Ahhh!" She fell to the floor in pain. She saw more spikes and hid behind a pillar for protection.

"Yumi!" Aalia tried to run to her, but Ryuuji grabbed her by her neck.

"Ah Aalia you're finally here" Alexander smiled as he entered the room with a group of seven ghouls.

"Alexander you'll pay for what you've done!" Aalia yelled as Ryuuji had her trapped.

"Hah, after I'm done turning your friends I'll have enough ghouls and demons to take over this pathetic excuse for a country." Alexander laughed evilly.

" I won't let that happen" Aalia bit Ryuuji's arm and ran towards Alexander. She tried to kick him, but one of the ghouls blocked her attack.

"Foolish little girl. You think it'll be that easy to attack me?" Alexander laughed.

"I'll take you down" She growled at him.

"Hah I'd like to see you try" he challenged her.

"I can't take him down in my human appearance. I need some human blood" Aalia looked around the room and chose one of her friends.

She ran as fast as she could and grabbed Tadashi's arm. "I'm sorry" She whispered before digging her teeth into her skin. A metallic taste filled her mouth as the warm blood went down her throat.

She put down Tadashi's arm and stood up. Her eye had changed and her kagune wings spread out. All she could feel now was anger.

She growled as blood started spilling out of her mouth.

"Wow. You're ghoul side is stronger than I thought. But no matter, you can't take me down" Alexander stood behind is group. But some of them got scared and slowly started to back away.

"Cowards!" Alexander yelled as four of them ran away.

Aalia ran towards them and they all took a fighting stance. She ran towards one of them, jumped and kicked him down. She spun around and pierced her wing through the other ghouls stomach. He fell to the floor bleeding out. The last ghoul got scared and ran away.

Aalia glared at him, ready to kill him right on the spot. He didn't show any fear and instead he just raised his arm. As soon as he did, Ryuuji came running and kicked Aalia to the floor. She jumped up and attacked him with her wings. He blew fire at her, making her fall back as the flames burnt her skin.

"Ryuuji stop! This isn't you!" Yumi yelled as she attacked him from behind. She tried to punch him, but he grabbed her arm and threw her on the floor.

"Yumi!' Aalia yelled as she ran to her. Before she could get to her Ryuuji threw a spike from his wings at her. It hit her in the leg and she fell down. She wasn't going to fail here. She got up and ran to Yumi even though the spike was stuck in her leg.

"Yumi are you okay?" She asked her.

"I think my arm is broken" She sat up.

"Go and try to get everyone safe. I'll take care of Ryuuji." Aalia stood up and ran to Ryuuji. She kicked him in the face and he fell back. He spread his wings and flew into the air.

Aalia quickly followed him and soon they were both face to face.

"Ryuuji stop, please I don't want to hurt you" he just growled at her and shot out more spikes at her. There were too many of them to dodge so she got hit with a few of them. Each one burned as it pierced her skin.

She felt the blood spill put of each spot and felt weak. She tried to not show it, but it wasn't easy. She punched Ryuuji multiple times and bit him. It was heartbreaking to for her to hurt him. But she didn't have a choice.

While the two of them were fighting in the air. Yumi was struggling to save her friends. She was able to get Junior out, and now she had to get everyone else out.

Junior looked up and saw Ryuuji and Aalia fighting, he needed to stop it.

"Yumi get everyone out, I'm going to see if I can stop Ryuuji" he ran out the room to look for some weapons.

He managed to find a bow and arrow. He grabbed it and ran back to Yumi. When he got back he saw a bunch of ghouls and demons getting closer to her.

He ran to her and began shooting them with arrows, they kept on getting back up, but each time they got hit, they got slower.

He kept on seeing Ryuuji and Aalia fighting and he needed to stop them, but he couldn't because of all these guys.

He quickly aimed his arrow at Ryuuji and shot. The arrow pierced Ryuuji's shoulder and he fell to the floor. Aalia went down to the floor and walked up to him.

He whimpered in pain. Aalia kneeled down beside him.

"Ryuuji, I know you can hear me. Stop this, we're hurting each other. Please, I know you can fight whatever is taking over you" she held his hand.

His eyes started to go back to normal as he tried to take his body back.

"Aalia" he whispered as he touched her cheek.

"Ryuuji" her eyes filled with tears.

Ryuuji's eyes went wide and he pulled Aalia down.

"Ryuuji what's wr-" Before she could ask him, she saw a kagune pierce through his back and out his stomach. "Ryuuji!"

He fell down with blood spilling out of him. "Ryuui!" Aalia turned him on his back and tried to stop his bleeding. His eyes turned red and blood was gushing out if his mouth.

"F-find the....necklace" he whispered.

"Ryuuji!" She teared up as his body went still. She screamed and cried while covering her face with her hand. "Please Ryuuji, don't leave me!"

She turned around with tears burning her eyes and saw Junior and Yumi trying to fight a group of ghouls and demons.

She got up and ran to them. "Yumi me and Junior will take care of them. Get the others and get out of here!" She yelled as she and Junior attacked them.

Yumi managed to get everyone out and they all left. "Junior go" She said.

"What? Why?" He asked.

"Because this is something I need to do alone" he nodded and picked up Ryuuji's body and left.

"Now, it's just you and me" she turned to look at Alexander.

"You'll never beat me"

"I already have. Look around you, there's no one to save you" she said in a monotone voice.

"Yes there is" he grabbed a needle and stuck it in his thigh. He started glowing a bright red and red veins appeared on top of his skin. His eyes turned black and he grew a kagune.

Aalia stepped back and he growled. "You won't defeat me" he grabbed her with his kagune and threw her at the wall.

She whimpered in pain and fell to the floor. He picked up blocks that fell from the wall and threw them at her. She quickly hid behind a pillar and tried to think of a plan.

She remembered Ryuuji saying something about a necklace. She took a peek at Alexander and noticed a necklace on his wrist.

She ran as fast as she could and grabbed the necklace. She got hit with something but it wasn't major. She looked at the necklace and noticed it had a liquid in it. She had seen it before, but she doesn't remember where. All she new was that if it was swallowed, it could kill.

Before she could get up his kagune wrapped around her leg and picked her up.

"It's time for you to die" he growled. She managed to bite his kagune and he dropped her. She ran up to him and kicked him in his jaw. She pushed him to the ground and shoved the necklace down his throat.

He pushed her away and started choking. "What did you do?!" He grabbed his throat as the liquid poured out. "Nooo!" He screamed in pain and the liquid reached his stomach. The liquid was lethal and instantly exploded.

His blood had turned black and Aalia was covered in it. She was disgusted, but relieved that he was gone and couldn't hurt anyone ever again.

Aalia stood up and walked outside. She was happy knowing that the people she loved were now safe.

~ Nine years later ~

Ryuuji was able to survive the brutal attacks and soon after him and Aalia were married. She put an end to her father's part in the black market. She wanted nothing to do with it.

Yumi and Junior broke up and now Yumi works at an orphanage. Junior started working for people who find human traffickers.

They all live apart now, but make time to visit each other. They will always remember what happened to them and how it made them stronger.
