(Herro guys!!! Sorry I haven't been on for a while. This week was the last week of school. I'm kind of sad that I'm leaving but I'm also happy. Most of my teachers have retired or left so only a few are left. Now, I'm just excited to start highschool!! XD well for most of the part, I have summer homework :( well anyways hope you enjoy this chapter!!!)

• March 24th | 2am •

○ Aalia's P.O.V ○

In a couple of hours we are going to be leaving for our journey.

We mapped out where each of our locations are. (Look at the picture on top)

I was so excited that I couldn't even close my eyes. I sat up and silently squealed.

"I can't belive I'm going to be able to master my powers" I whispered to myself. I threw the blanket off of me and ran to the window.

I opened it and climbed onto the roof. I stood there watching the moon and the clouds pass by. I was so full of energy, how on earth am I supposed to fall asleep?

I laid down on the ledge and closed my eyes.

I tossed and turned in my sleep. I didn't know what was happening in my dream, but I knew something bad was about to happen. Inside my dream I was by a waterfall. It was surrounded by trees and many other plants.

I was standing in the middle of a lake. I looked around and saw nothing. A sun ray was slightly moving forward until the light hit my face. I covered my face with my arm.

I opened my eyes and moved my arm away. In front of me was a woman floating. I couldn't see her face very well because she was glowing a very bright white. But she looked very beautiful and almost every part of her was white. Her light faded and I looked at her closely.

"M-mom" I opened my eyes wide as she smiled at me. She didn't say anything, all she did was kiss my forehead. She hugged me and started to float away. I reached out to grab her hand, but my feet wouldn't move.

As she left something horrible happened. That day, the day that ruined my life, was displayed perfectly in front of me.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhh" I wake up screaming. My hands were covering my ears and my eyes were shut.

I felt somone grab my wrists and I opened my eyes to see Ryuuji standing in front of me, he looked worried.

"Aalia calm down" he pulled me close to him and hugged me.

I closed my eyes and squeezed him in a hug. I buried my face in his neck and silently cried. He gently stroked my back, trying to calm me down.

Eventually I stopped crying and we pulled away. He picked me up and carried me to my room. As he walked there I explained what happened.

He sat me on the bed and sat next to me.

"Don't worry about it, it was just a dream" he held my hands. I looked up at him and he smiled. He hugged me and walked to the door.

"Try to get some sleep, we'll be leaving soon" he gently closed the door and I laid down.

Kuro came up beside me and I wrapped my arm around him. I pulled the blanket over my head and fell asleep with Kuro.

• 7am •

I sat up and stretched my arms above my head. I rubbed my eyes and jumped out of bed. I walked into the bathroom and took a shower.

I opened my closet and started putting on my armor. I placed my sword in its sheath on my back and grabbed my bag full of supplied. I headed down the stairs and waited outside for the others.

~ 20 minutes later ~

Yumi showed up first, then Junior and Ryuuji last.

"I'm going to miss you guys" Yumi said as we group hugged.

"It'll only be two weeks" I said.

"That's still a long time" Junior laughed.

"Well, I guess this is goodbye for now" Yumi hugged me.

Then I hugged Junior, but I didn't hug Ryuuji yet.

They said goodbye to eachother and Yumi kissed Junior's cheek. They would be traveling togther for a little bit.

When they left I turned to Ryuuji. I walked to him and hugged him.

"See you in two weeks"

"See you soon" he wrapped his arms around me.

I smiled and started to walk away with Kuro by my side.

~ 1 hour later ~

My journey would be the longest since it was farther away than the others.

It was lightly drizzling, but I didn't care. I was just happy to be able to learn more about my powers and conquer them.

During my journey there was a lot of climbing and entering dangerous places.

We found a lake and sat down. I cupped some water with my hands and brought it up to my lips. It was very cold, just like ice water.

I sat against a tree and pulled out some food from my bag. I only ate lightly, trying to save the big meals for dinner.

I grabbed some oranges and peeled them. I put some in my palm and gave some to Kuro, he gladly ate it.

• March 26th •

I've been walking and flying constantly for two days.

Finally we reached the ocean. I just needed to fly a little bit more and we'd be at the temple.

"You ready Kuro?" I asked as I opened my wings.

"Ready!" He said excitedly. He jumped into my arms and I immediately took off.

Flying was very fun. I always feel happy when I fly high in the sky. I flew close to the water and put my hand in the water.

I looked down and I could see a school of fish. I flew back high into the sky above the clouds. I kept on changing how high I flied. Kuro seemed to be really enjoying it.

I held him in my arms and he stuck out his tongue like a dog. I couldn't help but giggle at that.

Soon we came to our destination. It was very foggy but I could see a building. It was very high. I had to fly almost to where the clouds were to be able to reach it.

I landed on the floor of the balcony and Kuro jumped off of me.

I entered the temple. It looked very old and abandoned. I check different rooms but no one was there.

"Where could this guy be?" I scratched my head as I asked Kuro that.

"Meeeooww!" Kuro turned around and started meowing in a certain direction.

I followed Kuro and we ended up on the other side of the temple. I walked into the balcony and found a man meditating.

"Excuse me?" I walked to him. He looked very old, like 100 years. He had a long beard and many wrinkles.

He opened his eyes and smiled.

"Ahhh Aalia, I knew you would come" he stood up and shook my hand.

"I will show you to your room so you can put your stuff down."

We walked down many hallways until we reached a very large door. He pushed it open to reveal a large room.

"Wow!"

"I have cleaned the dust up for you. Change into some clothes that will be better for training. You won't need any armor. When you are done meet me at the top of the temple."

He closed the door and left. I changed into sweat pants and a baggy tank top.

"I'll be back later Kuro" Kuro was about to take a nap. I closed the door and ran to the top of the temple. I wasn't wearing any shoes and the stones were very cold against my feet.

I reached the top, out of breath and walked towards the man.

"Now for me to officially introduce myself. I am Master Yama. I have heard about your powers and I'm very interested in teaching you"

I bowed at him "it is an honor to meet you Master Yama"

"Follow me Aalia"

We climbed a tall hill and reached a waterfall. We walked through the waterfall and into a cave. We sat down about seven feet away from eachother, facing eachother. I crossed my legs and placed my hands on my knees.

"Now Aalia, since you are both ghoul and demon, you must know that those two sides cannot work separately in your system. You have to have both sides unlocked otherwise you will pay permanent consequences"

I didn't speak, I only listened.

"I can sense you have accepted your ghoul side, but you are trying to keep your demon side away. You want to stay human don't you?"

I nodded.

"Just because you open your demon side doesn't mean you won't have a human heart or brain. You will still have human sides, just your demon and ghoul sides will be stronger"

"Really?"

"Yes. Are you prepared to unlock that side?"

I thought about it for a while " yes"

"Great. To do this part I will have to guide you" he stood up and sat infront of me.

He rubbed his hands together and electricity formed between them.

"Don't worry this won't kill you"

He placed hid hands around my ears and my eyes immediately started glowing.

(This is to help you know who is talking. ♤ is Yama and ♡ is Aalia)

♤"What do you see?" He asked me.

♡"A blue and black fog" I replied.

♤"Tell me, what's different about each sides of the fog besides color?"

♡"The Blue one is stronger than the black one. It's also brighter and bigger"

♤"And why do you think that is?"

♡"Because I am blocking my demon side?"

♤"Exactly. Now reach towards the black fog"

I slowly walked towards the black fog and saw a glass box.

♤"What do you see?" Yama asked me.

♡"A glass box."

♤"Do you see anything inside?"

♡"It's. Me." I looked closely and saw another version of myself. She had raven black hair and her eyes were closed. It looked like she was floating in water.

♤"That is your demon side. She is being blocked and can't get out. There are many things that are keeping her locked in there. To open the box I will help you. Let's start with what your biggest fears are."

♡I closed my eyes and thought "that I will lose everyone I love and care about"

♤"Name those people"

♡"Yumi, Tadashi, Emiko, Sakura, Arata, Junior, Kenta, A.T and, Ryuuji"

Suddenly ghost like images of them were surrounding me.

♤"You need to let them go"

♡"What?! How can I let them go?! I care about them!" I started throwing a tantrum.

♤"Aalia listen to me. You can't protect everyone forever. Eventually you'll have to think about yourself instead of them. To be able to free your demon side, you will have to give up things and conquer your fears"

♡I sighed "Okay, how do I do it?"

♤"Take a deep breath and erase them from your thoughts"

I inhaled and exhaled. Soon all of them were gone and a crack appeared in the glass box.

♤"Very good. Now onto the next one. This time tell me what makes you sad. What do you wish never happened in your life?"

♡"I wish I could've saved my parents. I feel like it's my fault that they died" my eyes started watering.

♤"Just as I said before, you can't protect everyone forever"

I started sobbing and closed my eyes. I felt something grab both of my hands.

I opened them and saw my mom and dad holding my hands. They wrapped me in a group hug. They couldn't talk, but hugging them made me feel better. My father wiped away my tears and kissed my forehead. My mom hugged me and kissed my cheek. They held eachother hands and dissappeared.

I had a smile on my face and I wiped my tears away. The box had two cracks now.

♤"Very good Aalia. Now the next one: anger. Who or what makes you angry?"

♡"Alexander. I will defeat him and destroy everything he cares about"

♤"So you basically want revenge?"

♡"Yes"

♤"Do you think that will really be good?"

♡"What do you mean?"

♤"Let's not forget that besides being a horrible man, he does own businesses that help people. Don't you think destroying him will affect all those people?"

♡I opened my mouth to speak but I couldn't think of what to say. I thought about it "but isn't that the only way to stop him from hurting all these children?"

♤"No it's not. Revenge doesn't take you anywhere. It only gives you temporary satisfaction. I don't know how to stop him, but I know you will figure it out. Now in order to move forward you need to forget about revenge"

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. When I opened them there were now three cracks in the box.

♤"Very good. Now for love. Aalia who do you love? And I don't mean family love. Who do you want to spend the rest of your life with?"

♡"R-Ryuuji. I-I l-love, him?"

♤"are you asking me or telling me?"

♡"I'm telling you. I love Ryuuji with all my heart"

♤"take those feelings and look at them. Now let him go."

♡"What?! I can't do that! I love him! How do I let him go?!"

♤"Aalia, your feelings disturb your independence. You always feel like he will save you, but one day he won't be there to save you. Then what will you do?"

What he is saying is right. I closed my eyes and let him go. I saw a ghost version of him in front of me. He was smiling as he faded away. Another crack appeared and a part of the glass exploded. Half of the glass was gone and my other halfs legs were sticking out, but her upper body was still stuck.

I came back to reality and Yama was by the waterfall.

"We are done with the mental exercises. Go get some rest and meet me here tomorrow at 5am sharp"

I laid in my bed thinking about what happened today. I felt my demon side grow stronger. But it was fighting against my ghouls side. My stomach was hurting and I crawled into a ball shape under the blanket and fell asleep
