• March 14th | 5am •

○ Aalia's P.O.V ○

I fell asleep early and because of that I woke up at 5am.

*sigh*

I got up and opened the window. It was a cloudy day and the sun was barely up, it was magnificent. I liked sunny days, but I loved cloudy and rainy days.

I put on my jacket and walked into the garden. There was a big pond with a swing-bench beside it.

I walked on the cold grass, the morning dew tickling my bare feet.

I sat down on the bench and dipped my toes into the freezing water. Somehow it felt......nice.

I closed my eyes and swayed my legs.

I felt somone sit next to me and I opened my eyes to see, Ryuuji.

"Hey" he said in a quiet tone.

"Hey" I replied, looking at the water.

"Listen, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you. It's just............"

"It's just what?" I said in a monotone voice.

"*sigh* it's just, something happened a long time ago and I was having dreams about it. It hurt me and I took my anger out on you. I'm sorry."

I looked into his eyes, they were filled with sadness.

"I-I forgive you" I couldn't stay mad at him.

I suddenly remembered what he said last night.

"Ryuuji? What did you mean by "No one cares about me"?" I asked, hoping he would tell me.

"It's nothing"

"Ryuuji, please tell me, I'm here for you" I put my hand on his shoulder and he turned to look at me.

"I will. But sometime in the future" he smiled at me.

"*sigh* okay fine"

He stood up and I did too. He walked closer to me and held my wrist, the one he hurt.

"I'm really sorry" he lifted up my wrist and brought it close to his lips, he laid a gentle kiss upon it.

I couldn't help but blush. I felt him pull me close and hug me.

He whispered in my ear: "I'll never hurt you ever again"

"I know you won't" I hugged him back. He was so warm, I felt like I could stay in his arms forever.

"The Sun is almost up, you should go back to sleep." He looked at me, still holding me close.

"But.......okay" I didn't want him to let me go.

I let go of him and walked back to my room.

I pulled the blankets over my head, surrounded by the warmth.

•9am•

It was still cloudy and it was now even colder.

I opened my window and gazed out at all the trees, it was quiet and peaceful.

After a while Sebastian came and landed on the windowsill.

"Hey little guy" I rubbed his head with my index finger.

I opened the little bag and pulled out a note.

"Hello Aalia.

I'm glad you have decided to help me. Today will be your first mission. I'm not sure if it will be easy or hard, just do your best.

A man named Louis Red has been kidnapping people and selling their organs. We have located the building and request that you capture him alive.

When you have captured him, send Sebastian to tell me and my men will come get him.

The building is hard to get in. My men have found some blueprints that might help you.

Unfortunately we weren't able to get too much information. Hopefully you guys can do the job.

I trust that you will be able to complete this job.

I flipped over the note to find an address written at the bottom.

I told Kenta to request my friends to be in the meeting room immediately.

° In The Meeting Room °

We have been planning the mission for 30 minutes so far.

"Okay, Yumi and Junior you two will go through the vents, Aalia and I will enter through the roof. Each person is getting their organs ripped out by a machine in this room. Aalia and I will head there.

You two listen carefully. According to these blueprints and some papers that came with it, Louis spends most of his in his office, the kitchen and this mysterious room located right next to the auction room. Through the vents you will look carefully for him."

Ryuuji took a moment to catch his breath. I decided to finish it off.

"When you find him use this" Kenta came up bedside me and opened a box with a special blue bottle inside.

"This is a tranquilizer, shoot him and lift him into the vents. Then meet me and Ryuuji on the roof. Got it?"

"Let's do this" Yumi said while cracking her knuckles.

We all got up to change into our disguises.

I tied my mask and put my sword in its sheath that was tied around my back, in the middle of where my wings would be.

I hear a tapping coming from the window and I opened it to reveal Sebastian.

"Another note?" I thought.

It said: AALIA this note is just for you. A couple of my scientists have been doing experiments on ghouls and half-ghouls and we have found something I think you would like to know about. You know how you have the ability to heal fast? Well, you also have the ability to heal others too. According to the research if you place your hand on the injury and focus the energy on that persons mind, it will heal them. Just make sure you see a blue light emitting from your hand and the wound."

"Interesting" I hid the paper under some books and ran downstairs.

When I got downstairs I saw the three of them standing there.

The building was far away so we had to fly. Since Yumi and Junior didn't have the ability to fly I carried her and Ryuuji carried Junior.

I opened my wings and flew slightly, I then grabbed Yumi and she sat on my back. I took off at full speed and I heard Yumi scream.

"Eeeeeeeekkkkkk!" I felt her grab my shoulders. I flew slowly now.

"You okay?"

"Yeah...I'm...I'm fine"

I flew at a steady pace, right next to Ryuuji.

The building was in full view now, we spotted some watchtower's and decided to walk the rest of the way.

"Keep quiet" Ryuuji whispered to all of us.

We crept to the back of the building where the vents started.

Ryuuji used his demon strength to open the vent door and Yumi and Junior hopped in.

He whispered to them "meet back here in an hour"

They nodded and crawled through the vent until we couldn't see them anymore. He closed it and we went to the wall at the back of the roof.

we used our wings to fly to the roof and as soon as we were up there we closed our wings immediately.

Ryuuji opened a part in the roof and asked me "Are you ready?"

I nodded with determination in my eyes and jumped down first, Ryuuji followed behind and closed the hole he made.

So far there were no guards anywhere, but we were still cautious.

We reached a long hallway with big lockers lined up on each wall. I was right behind him and I whispered as quietly as possible "What do you think these lockers are for?"

"Possibly employee lockers or storage ones" he stopped in his tracks and moved his arm, signaling that I stop too.

We could hear footsteps on both sides of the hallway. The guards must have known we were here. They kept on getting louder and my fear kept rising.

Ryuuji grabbed my arm and we hid in a locker, together.

There was barely enough space for two people. He was pressed against me and I was so scared that I felt like screaming, but he covered my mouth with his hand so I wouldn't give away our hiding spot.

I calmed down and he removed his hand. There were tiny slots in the lockers so we could see outside.

We didn't see the guards, but they were pretty close.

I couldn't help but look at Ryuuji as he looked out the slots. I never saw him up close before, he was very handsome.

I stared at him more than I should've and he turned around and looked at me. I instantly blushed with embarrassment and turned my head away.

Out of the corner of my eye I could see him smiling, but I still looked away.

The footsteps got louder and I could feel them.

I was scared and without a second thought I clung to Ryuuji and closed my eyes.

After 10 seconds I felt him wrap his arms around me, one on my head and he whispered "I'll protect you"

I blushed and hugged him harder. The sounds of the guards footsteps had passed, but we waited there just to make sure they were gone.

Ryuuji opened the door and stuck his head out, no one was there. We stepped out and proceeded with the mission.

We found a map on the wall and looked for the room. It was labeled "Top Secret"

I thought to myself "not anymore"

We used our demon speed to quietly run through the building without making a lot of noise.

We were on the 18th floor and the room was underground.

We couldn't use the elevator, that would have been idiotic, so we just kept running.

°1st floor°

We finally reached the first floor, but we were panting from all the running.

"Are you ready?" He asked me.

"Let's do this" we opened the door and found a spiral staircase. It had too much stairs so we jumped down from the middle and landed on our feet. It did hurt, but I don't care.

As we walked down another hallway I heard a man scream.

"KYAAAAA!!!"

"Shut up! *slap*" we heard two men at the end of the hall.

We walked there slowly and peeked sound the corner. It was dark and we were wearing black so they couldn't see us.

I saw a man covered in blood, on his knees pleading to the two men in front of him.

One man pulled out a chainsaw.

"We will get good money for your organs" he turned it on and swung the chainsaw down.

I was so horrified and I almost screamed, but before the chainsaw hit the man I felt Ryuuji use his hands to cover my mouth and eyes, but unfortunately I heard the man's dying sounds.

"Hehehe" the men laughed and exited.

After they left, Ryuuji uncovered my eyes and mouth.

We walked to where the man used to be.

It was covered in blood and some of his organs were minced there, I felt like throwing up.

"Come on, we need to find the room where all the prisoners are being held." He grabbed my wrist and dragged me.

After a while of walking down hallways we came to a gigantic door.

We opened it and walked in. We hid behind some boxes. NO one was there so we continued walking.

"What is this place?" Immediately a blue light flashed and the whole room lit up.

We saw a giant machine in the middle of the room and more than 20 cages with about 10 people inside of each of them.

Me and Ryuuji both gasped.

"This place is horrible! Come on we have to save them" I ran to one of the cages, but Ryuuji grabbed my arm and pulled me to him.

"What are you doing?! We need to save them!" I hit his arm but he didn't let go.

"Let me go!"

"Look at them! Look at their eyes!" He grabbed my shoulders and shook me.

I calmed down and walked to one of the cages. I saw a little girl and I looked into her eyes.

Her eyes looked like a dolls. It was like she was on earth, but dead, like a zombie.

"Oh no, this is horrible" I gasped.

"There souls have been taken away, but the pain that they experience they will still feel." Ryuuji said while looking through some papers.

Suddenly we heard a loud beep and the machine turned on. It picked up a little girl and sucked her into the machine.

I could hear her screams and I saw blood and organs being put into containers.

My blood started boiling. How can someone do this!?

I looked at Ryuuji with a big frown, I felt my eye change from all my anger.

"Let's destroy this machine" I could tell he was furious too.

I opened my wings and used my spikes to hit the machines pressure points.

Ryuuji used fire to burn parts of the metal and I used my claws to tear the machine while spinning as fast as a tornado.

After 20 minutes the machine was destroyed, but I felt bad that we couldn't save those people.

Once your soul is taken, you can never get it back.

"Let's get out of here" we walked carefully back to the roof.

"Ryuuji? Where are all the guards?"

"I don't know. It, seems kind of suspicious"

We heard a rumble from the vents and Yumi, Junior and Louis fell down.

They groaned in pain, except Louis he was out like a light.

"What are you guys doing?!" Ryuuji yelled.

"The vent just snapped. It felt weaker this time than it did when we first crawled through" Yumi said while getting back.

I looked behind me "Um guys!" I yelled and they all turned around.

We saw a door open and hundreds of guards came running.

Ryuuji and I pulled out our swords.

"You two! Use your demon powers to call Sebastian! He will notify A.T. and he will send someone to get Louis! Just escape and leave them to us!" I said while taking a fighting stance.

They both ran and Ryuuji and I cried a war cry.

We charged and took out as many men as possible.

My sword clashed with one man's. I kicked him in the jaw and pounced at another one.

"Aalia!" I heard Ryuuji scream. I saw him in the middle of a bunch of men and I jumped on the guys heads to get to him.

I shot my spikes at them and they fell.

"Let's get out of here!" I grabbed his arm and we ran.

We were now outside and the men were chasing us.

I opened my wings but as soon as I did a bullet shot through it.

"Uhn!!" I flinched in pain. My vision got blurry and I didn't notice more bullets were coming.

Ryuuji covered me as we ran and the bullets hit both of his wings. I heard him groan in pain but he didn't stop running. I felt him lift me off the ground bridal-style.

I looked over his shoulder and saw the a lot of men chasing us.

"Take this and shoot" he pulled out a gun and gave it to me. I was shocked but I still did it. I tried my best, I never used a gun before.

I managed to shoot some down but more just kept on coming and I was out of bullets.

"Shit!" I heard him yell.

We were now running on a cliff.

"Oh nu! It will be hard to avoid bullets now!" I thought as he ran.

A bullet went through his leg and we fell down. We rolled down the cliff and I landed on top of him.

"Ryuuji are you okay?!" I got off of him.

"I'm - I'm fine. We have to keep going"

"But you're hurt"

"I......can't let....them get......you. I can't lose.....what is important to me ever..........again"

It looked like he was about to pass out.

"Hold it right there!" 7 men came and surrounded us.

"You're coming with us!" One of them grabbed my hair. I kicked him, but his grip was strong. I tried to reach for my sword but more men came and grabbed my arms. I used my claws and scratched them but they wouldn't let go.

I saw Ryuuji lying on the floor with a pained look.

He somehow managed to get up and blew fire at the guys and they let go. He grabbed me and stood on front of me.

The men pulled out guns

"Ryuuji move!" I begged him, but he didn't.

A bullet went right through this shoulder and the side of his stomach. He fell to the floor.

"Ryuuji!!" I ran to him. I didn't care if they shot at me, I ran to his side.

"Ryuuji don't leave! You're going to be okay!" He smiled at me and passed out.

○Ryuuji'sP.O.V○

I couldn't take the pain anymore and I fell down.

I kept on hoping that they wouldn't take Aalia away.

I saw her run up to me and she was crying. She said something but I couldn't hear her and I passed out.

○Aalia's P.O.V○

~20 minutes later~

I somehow manged to pick up Ryuuji and escape the men. My wing still hurt but I didn't care, all I cared about was him.

I found a mini river and laid him down next to it.

I took off his shirt to get the bullets out of him. I felt my face flush red at the sight of his abs. But I can't be thinking about that, I used some water and washed his wounds as best as possible.

I had to take the bullets out, but I don't have any tools. I have to use my fingers.

I reached to take out the bullet. I felt disgusted as the blood went all over my hands, but I was able to get them out.

I felt like everything I know was all blurry now and I didn't know what to do next.

But then, I remembered what A.T. told me, I could heal him.

I placed my left hand on his shoulder and my right hand in his stomach. I closed my eyes and focused on his wounds.

I closed my eyes tightly, nothing was happening. I sighed and tried again.

"Ugh nothing!" I grabbed my hair in frustration.

I sat on top of him and placed my hands on his chest and noticed he was going cold.

"What!? No! Please don't die!" I placed my hands on the same spots trying harder this time, but with tears in my eyes.

I wouldn't stop trying until he was healed. Nothing was happening, no matter how many times I tried, nothing happened.

"It's not working" I looked at him and brushed his bangs off of his forehead."I'm sorry, this is all my fault" I rested my forehead on his and a tear fell from eye onto his closed eyelids.

I lightly sobbed. Suddenly I feel all the energy being drained from my body. I fall down on top of him and see the blue light A.T. was talking about. I smile as my eyelids get heavy and I completely shut down.

○Ryuuji'sP.O.V○

"Where am I?" I think as I see that I'm surrounded in total darkness.

"Hello young man" I look around and see an angel. She was floating in the darkness and had a white fog surrounding her.

I walk closer to her.

"Where am I?"

"Haha! Oh sweetie so naive" she patted my head like I was a child.

"Where am I?" I say getting slightly annoyed.

"Don't be rude. You my dear boy, you are in the middle of life and death."

"What?!"

"You were hurt badly. So badly that you are dying, but there is someone down on earth that's struggling to keep you alive"

I thought about who it could be, when I figured it out I gasped "Aalia!"

I saw the angel twitch slightly.

"Looks like she was able to bring part of you to life. Now, you have a choice, you can go back to earth and live a stupid life or you can come with me to heaven and be with your parents again." She smiled devishly.

Two pictures appear in front of me, one with my parents and one with Aalia.

I thought for a while, I started walking towards my parents and I saw the angels smile grow.

Then I realized something. "What am I doing? I can't leave earth, I haven't completed my life. And I can't leave Aalia alone"

I changed directions and ran to the picture of Aalia.

I burst through it and I felt like I was falling.

I woke up in a total shock. I looked around and sew a bunch of trees and it was night.

I feel like my heart is beating in my head and I sit up, well try to.

I look and see Aalia passed out on top of me. I sit up and hold her in my arms. Her breathing is slow and steady, doesn't seem like she has any wounds.

I gently place her on the ground and stand up. I rub my eyes.

I suddenly got goosebumps. I look down and see my shirt is gone.

I looked around and see it on the floor, I pick it up and put it back on. But before I do I remember that I had been shot, but I felt no pain.

I looked at where my wounds used to be and I was stunned.

"Huh?! Where are they?" I touch the spots and remember what the angel said.

"You were hurt badly. So badly that you are dying, but there is someone down on earth that's struggling to keep you alive"

"How was she able to heal me?" I walk up to her.

I suddenly I hear loud footsteps and people yelling.

"Find them!!" The footsteps were getting closer. I panicked and grabbed Aalia as quick as I could and hid behind a tree, holding her close to me with her head on my chest.

I hold my breath as I hear them.

"Shit where are they?! Find them quickly!!" I heard them run away.

As I stepped out from behind the tree Aalia mumbled something in her sleep that left me dumbfounded.
