~A couple months later~

○Aalia's P.O.V○

I walked into the courtyard looking for Yumi. I didn't see her so I sat under a tree and waited.

They were changing the bars on our cells to doors, so they made us wait outside while they did that.

"Hey!" Yumi came up behind me and yelled.

"Eeeeekkkk! Don't scare me like that" I said grabbing my heart to be dramatic.

"Haha. I'm sorry but it was funny" she said while sitting next to me.

"Yumi I need to talk to you" I whispered.

"Okay what is it?" She said while scooting next to me.

"Can you help me come up with an escape plan." I whispered.

"of course. I'm tired of this place. But we can't do it alone. I have a friend who can help us, I'll tell him to meet us here and we can discuss a plan" she whispered.

"Thanks"

The door to my cell closed with a loud slam. It was all silver and had a tiny window with bars at the top of it. The window had a metal slide to close and open it.

Now that I have privacy I should practice my powers. I remembered the kagune. Was I going to have one? And when?

I got up and spread my wings. They start to hurt after a while if I keep them hidden. I moved my wings so I could fly slightly.

I felt a sharp pain in my wing and fell down.

"Ow! What happened?" I felt the edge of my wing and it hurt badly.

"Ugh" I could hear the spikes tearing through my skin. They pushed out of my back which caused me to be thrown into the wall.

"Ow" I said falling down and hitting the floor. I looked in the mirror again and I saw a thick ,dark, red line grow around my wings, they had spikes coming out from them but they looked like they were on fire.

This must be an ukaku kagune.

I remember it said that you can shoot stuff with them. I pushed my wings hoping that one of the spikes would go flying. It hit the mirror and hit me in the stomach.

"Kyyaaa!!" I screamed while grabbing my stomach. "Man these things hurt" the blood stopped quickly and I tried again. I looked at the wall as my target and I felt my eye change. I then shot at the wall and so many spikes came out and hit it, they instantly grew back.

"Woohoo!" I tried to be as quiet as I could so no guards got suspicious.

I heard a guard on the megaphone. "Lunch time!!" He yelled. All the cell doors opened and we went to the courtyard.

I saw Yumi and a guy sitting under a tree and I walked over to them.

"Hey" he said when I sat down.

"Aalia this is Jake, and Jake this is Aalia" Yumi said putting our hands together to shake.

"Nice to meet ya" he shook my hand.

"Likewise" I said smiling at him.

"Okay now for the plan" Yumi looked around then pulled out a rolled up piece of paper. She then opened it and laid it on the floor. We were covered by the tree so no guards would see us.

"Alright so here are our cells and here are the levers for the cells" Yumi said pointing at different spots on the map.

"To get everyone out we need a distraction" I said looking at them.

"We could start a fire. The alarm will ring and the guards will leave. They will probably just leave us in the cells though." Jake said while looking at the map.

"Then before we start the fire I'll get a key from the guards. Aalia I'll give you the key and you go and pull all the levers letting everyone escape. Hopefully this place will burn to the ground." Yumi said smiling. "I will get the key at 7pm, then I'll quickly slide the key under your door, then wait for the alarm to ring and begin the plan."

"Wait, how will we start a fire that's big enough to burn this place?" I asked Yumi.

"That's where I come in." Jake said. "I have demon and dragon DNA" I'll trick the guards into opening my door, then I'll run past them and fly around blowing fire."

"Sounds good. This plan will work" I said with hope in my eyes.

●6:58pm●

I could see the clock through the tiny window on the door. Almost time. I stood up and walked to the door waiting for the key.

●7:10pm●

The key passed through the door and I picked it up.

"Yes! Now all I need to do is wait for the. ...." my thoughts were interrupted when someone opened the door. I hid the key under the back of my shirt.

"Well well well, look whose trying to escape." Alexander said while pulling me by my hair causing me to drop the key.

"Let go of me you bastard!!" I kicked him in the stomach with my ghoul strength.

"Ooff" he fell to the floor.

I went to get the key, but he tripped me. I caught my balance and glared at him.

"You deserve to die! What you are doing is horrible and you can rot in hell!!" I screamed while kicking him between the legs.

"Arrgg!!!!!" He screamed and fell on his knees.

"Y-y-you b-b-bitch" she said while coughing up blood.

Finally I was able to get revenge on him for all the pain he caused me. I had totally forgotten the plan and focused on him.

I felt all my anger build up and my demon and ghoul strength combine. My eye changed, my teeth sharpened and my wing-kagune came out.

He sat there dumbfounded. "When did this happen?!" He screamed at me.

"That's non of your business. I didn't tell you or Cindy so I could surprise you" I had an evil smirk, I let all my anger take over me. I picked him up by his hair and threw him at the wall.

"Ugh" he got up and tried to attack me, but I dodged him. I shot a spike at him and it him in the shoulder.

"Ahhh!!!" He tried to pull it out of his shoulder, but it was too painful. He ran towards me and kicked me in the face. I grew even more angry and shot more spikes at him until he was pinned against the wall. I walked up to him and stared deadly into his eyes.

"Why do you hate me?! What did I ever do to you?!"

"Ahaha!!" All he did was laugh.

"What's so funny?" I glared at him.

"So you really don't know about your dad's other job" he smiled with pain.

"I knew it! He did have another job. What was it?!"

"Don't worry I'll tell you" he smirked evilly.

I glared at him with hate and anger in my eyes.
