Tadashi's P.O.V

Today my friends were coming over so I could tell them what had happened. I was able to stop feeling sad. Crying wouldn't bring the dead back, and it certainly wouldn't make them happy. I prayed every night that Aalia would come back.

As I sat there thinking someone knocked on the door. My nanny, Emily, was sleeping so I went to answer the door. When I opened it, there they were, Emiko, Arata, and Sakura. "Wait a minute! Are Emiko and...Arata holding hands!!!!!" I thought with my jaw hanging. Sakura used her hand to lift up my jaw.

"Close your mouth. You don't want to eat a fly" she said in her happy tone.

"Sorry" I said clearing my throat.
"Why are you holding hands?" I obviously knew the answer, but I still wanted them to tell me.

"Umm w-we a-a-are" Arata couldn't stop blushing and stuttering.

"We are dating" Emiko said with an annoyed tone, probably because he couldn't say it.

"That's wonderful!" I said giving them a closed eye smile.

We all walked in at sat at the dining table. "Okay so I have something very important to tell you guy's" I say while taking a seat.

After I explained to them what happened, I wiped the tears that had started forming in my eyes.

"That's horrible!!" Sakura said almost in tears.

"There is still a chance Aalia is alive" Arata said, slamming his hands on the table. "Let's go and investigate the house!" He said getting up, we all followed him.

When we got there, the roof and most of the walls were burnt. We walked to the front door. When I got there I felt like crying. The horrible memories of that day came back to me. I didn't realize it, but I had my hands were on my head and I was breathing heavy.

"Tadashi are you alright?" Emiko put her hand on my shoulder.

"Erm, yeah. I'm okay" I say taking a deep breath.

"Keep watch while we are inside" Arata told his head guard.

We walked in, the walls were scattered with blood.

"Ugh my feet hurt!" Emiko whined while taking off her shoes.

We were walking down the hall when.....

"Ahhh" Emiko screamed while grabbing her foot and falling to the floor.

"What happened?!" Arata kneeled down beside her.

"Ugh I stepped on something sharp and it hurts!!" She yelled with tears in her eyes. Arata was trying to calm her down.

I saw the thing that she had stepped on, it was a ring.

"Hmm? What does this symbol mean?" I said, handing the ring to Arata. He gave it to the guard that was behind us, and the guard examined it.

"This is the mark of hell. Under it, it says "Alexander Saunders" that is the name of a man who does human experiments" the guard said handing the ring back to me.

"Does this mean Aalia was kidnapped by him?" Sakura said.

"Possibly" the guard said looking at us.

Arata frowned "find her!" He screamed at his guard. "Find this man and bring him to me. No one messes with the people I care about!"

"Yes your highness" the guard said bowing.

○Aalia's P.O.V ○

•at the prison•

Cindy had left the prison for a couple of days because of a family problem. After she left Alexander became even more mean.

"Ugh" I coughed up blood. After she left he started beating me up. I didn't know any self-defense so I was helpless.

He grabbed me by my hair and kneed me in the face causing my nose to bleed.

"Ahhh!!" I scream while holding my face. He then kicked me in the stomach and laughed at me.

"You truly are pathetic" he laughed while leaving me alone I'm my cell. I laid there on the floor in a pool of my own blood.

"I wish I could do something. But what? I'm stuck in this place and I don't know any self-defense" I tried getting up, but it hurt. I grabbed the edge of my bed and used my remaining strength to lift myself up. I limped to the mirror and took a look at myself. I had a black eye and a bloody nose. There wasn't a sink so I just used my shirt to wipe my blood.

For the past weeks I have been getting more DNA. I guess the other DNA'S are overpowering my ghoul one. I don't heal as fast as I used to. I limped and sat on my bed.

I have been feeling a lot of pain in my back lately. Was it the wings or kagune Cindy talked about? I put that thought at the back of my head and laid down. I used my arm to cover my eyes and just thought for a while.

~6 days later~

Cindy had come back and Alexander didn't beat me up as much as he used to. But he still did once in a while.

The pain in my back has returned and it was even worse. I told the guard and he brought me to Cindy.

"Alright take off your shirt and lay on the table." She said while putting on gloves.

I took off my shirt and laid down on the table. She touched my back and it felt wierd.

"You have spikes on your back. This must be the kagune." She lightly poked it, but it hurt like hell.

"Ahh!!!" I screamed while holding my head. Suddenly I fell off the table and more pain came to my back.

I screamed while grabbing the sides of my head. I felt something coming out of my back. It was spikes. As they came out they ripped my skin. I felt the blood pouring out, but I didn't care, I just wanted the pain to end.

"Ahhh!!!" It was too much pain. Worse than anything I have ever felt. The pain was too much for me to handle so I passed out.

~1 hour later~

"Ugh" I opened my eyes and a blinding light was all I could see.

"Good you're awake" Cindy said turning off the light.

I sat up rubbing my eyes. The pain was all gone. I looked behind me and screamed.

"What?" I said looking at my back.

"Those are your wings" Cindy said putting her hand on my wing.

I noticed a mirror in the corner of the room and I looked at my wings. I was astonished. They were blue and were the same length as my arms. They were beautiful, they were glowing. I couldn't help but smile at this.

"Since you have your wings now, we will need to do some exercises." She said walking up beside me.

We started doing some wing exercises. It was difficult, I kept falling on my butt.

"Ow" I blew the hair that fell infront of my face away. I got up and tried again. I did it!!! I could only fly a little bit though.

"This is interesting. I thought you would have a kagune." Cindy took out a book and started writing in it. "This is fascinating. Now let's see if you can hide them. Concentrate on them disappearing"

I closed my eyes and focused on that thought. I felt the wings close and go into my skin. I opened my eyes and looked in the mirror. They were completely gone.

"This is exciting! I wonder what will happen next" Cindy said with her eyes almost glowing.

I walked with a guard to the courtyard. Since I came here I haven't smiled for real. I want to smile with Yumi, but it's fake, well most of the time. I love hanging out with here though. When I walked into the courtyard, Yumi waved at me. I sat down beside her and told her what had just happened.

When my parents died I felt helpless and small. Over the next few months, Yumi was going to teach me how to get my confidence back and manage being on my own.
