Third Person's POV

Silence filled the air as everything, and everyone was quiet. Ash and his friends were able to free Garchomp from the control of Team Rocket. But now Ash and Gary are in the face of someone they never thought to see.

"Wait who's that guy?" Bonnie ask as she looks at Clemont as he was adjusting his glasses.

The mentioned replies "I don't know, but from the looks of it. It seems that they know each other." Clemont then looks at Professor Sycamore and ask him "Professor?"

Professor Sycamore shook his head, as he responds "I think I heard them said, Eli."

Gary and Ash's eyes starts to water as Pikachu jumps to Eli "Pika!" He caught him as Pikachu was happy, "Hey Pikachu."

Gary mutters "You're here..." Gary was frozen as Ash ran and quickly hugs Eli. Both males stumble as Eli was frozen by the hug.

Both stayed silent as Eli slowly hug back. Gary was still frozen as his hands were shaking a little. "Why are you standing there? Gary looks up to see Eli looking at him, who is smiling at Gary He opens his hands as says in a kind tone "come here" Gary slowly walks to them. The three Kantonians are now in a group hug as everyone was silent.

"How...When..." Gary couldn't find the words to say.

Eli says before Gary could say another word "I just got here just today," he didn't need to know what the question was as it was obvious to him.

The three of them broke off as Professor Sycamore came to them as he looks at Eli. "Thank you for your help. I'm-"

Eli cuts him off saying "You're Professor Sycamore." Eli turns his attention towards him as he continues "I've done my research as I was trying to find you."

The Adult male says "I see." Professor Sycamore coughs before continuing "Well, all of you guys are free to stay the night at my place as I can assume that you don't have a place to stay the night."

Eli nods as he says "That'll be appreciated." everyone else agrees to his words. Gary looks down as he sees Sylveon glaring at him.

Gary ask "Is that..."

Eli sees Sylveon glaring at Gary. "Yeah, it's Eevee. He evolved the second we arrived here. I know you two have a lot of questions... that's why I'm here" he takes Ash and Gary by the hand causing the two Kantonians to heat up their faces as the Sky blue Hair boy says "come on we have a lot to talk about"

-Time skip-

They were at Professor Sycamore's place as Eli was caught off guard by the damage. The Professor says to Ash and the others "Thankfully the rooms aren't damaged so you guys can be comfortable sleeping here." Professor Sycamore scratches the back of his head.

All of them went inside as Eli looks around. He notices a machine as it reminds him of the one that's in the Pokémon Center. So he ask the Professor "Professor Sycamore, does this machine heals Pokémon?"

Professor Sycamore looks at the machine, and replies "Yes, does one of your Pokémon need some healing?"

Eli nods as he takes out his Poke ball. "Alright, Gardevoir. Come on out," blue light came as it was Eli's Gardevoir.

Professor Sycamore ask "Is that the Gardevoir that Mega Evolve?" Professor Sycamore look at Eli who nods

Ash remembers Gardevoir as he notices the different appearance that it had so he ask "Wait was that why it looked so different?"

Eli walks towards his Gardevoir as he pulls out his necklace as he explains "Once I was done traveling the Unova region, I went back to Sinnoh as I found a Gardevoirite. When I found that Gardevoir can Mega Evolve we train more as it takes a lot out of her."

Ash and Gary look lost as they both were in Unova but have never seen Eli. Professor Sycamore was intrigued by it. so he says "Fascinating, another research for me to discover."

Eli ask "So, is it okay that Gardevoir can be healed?" Eli pats Gardevoir as she's giving a happy Cry.

The professor replies happily "Yes, she can use the room as I'll make the beds for you guys."

Eli's POV

Once Professor Sycamore left it was just me alone with two of my long-lost friends, and two strangers. It was quiet as the little girl decided to come up towards me.

The Little girls exclaims "That was so cool what you did!" The little girl has stars in her eyes. "And your Pokémon look so cool and cute!"

Gardevoir seems flattered and gives Bonnie a princess bow as Sylveon does a pose while doing a heart with his ribbons I think to myself 'She's so sweet' I stare tiredly at them before looking at the girl. "Thank you..." The girl notices what I'm doing.

"Oh right! My name is Bonnie!" The girl runs towards her brother. "And this is my single lonely brother Clemont!"

The boy Clemont blushes red, "Bonnie!" In return, she playfully sticks out her tongue. Clemont bows to me saying "I-I'm sorry, sometimes my sister doesn't know what's she's doing"

I wave him off "i-is fine I'm used to that" I lean closer to him and add "and trust me if she meets my sister they're going to become best friends in a instant" I look back and see Ash and Gary being silent. I know why they're quiet since we were once together. But things turn as we were now...different. I don't know if I should call them former friends since we stopped talking. But yet...'This is so weird.'

Bonnie suddenly ask "So how do you know Ash and Gary?"

I quickly look at Bonnie as the others did the same. Her brother was gonna scold her, but I shake my head And then say "is okay, she's just curious. don't worry too much about it" I then look at Bonnie and answer "And to answer your question. We used to travel together." All of them look at me. "I also grew up in Kanto as I traveled with Gary. Later on, I would meet Ash as we would battle. But when they wanted to go home, I decided to go to another region. From that on we went our separate ways. We could only contact through our phone at Kanto so it's shocking to see them again." I could see Ash and Gary eyes widen from what I did. I'm not telling Bonnie the story in full detail; she doesn't need to know. Plus, I could tell that she was already a good friend towards them, so why would I try and ruin it?

We heard footsteps and see Professor Sycamore who says "All right, everything is set up. I only have two bedrooms, so you guys have to decide who you're going to sleep with."

"I'm gonna sleep with my big brother." Clemont nodded as he agrees with his sister.

I then say "Guess that means we'll be in the same room," I look over and see that Ash and Gary feel the same way I am right now...Awkward

Following the bedroom that Professor Sycamore lead us, Bonnie and Clemont went to a room that's across from the one Ash, Gary, and I are staying the night at. Once we enter the room, I closed the door as I turn to them "Okay let's talk. What do you guys want to know?" he questioned.

Third Person's POV

All three Kanto boys were silent as Ash was the first to know what to say. "Where did you go when we went home?" Ash was lost as he's been to the region but yet he never heard or seen Eli.

The Mentioned answers honestly "I went to the Sinnoh region." Eli started petting Sylveon who's looking darkly at Gary. "It was probably around the time you went to the Hoenn region. Then after that, I went to the Hoenn region as that would around the time you went to Sinnoh. I went back to Sinnoh but Cynthia decided to take me and Dawn to the Unova region. Once we were done, I stayed at Sinnoh" he explained.

Ash nods as he now sees that he went to another region. However, Gary caught something, "Wait, if were think about the order you went to Sinnoh before us while we went to Hoenn. When you went to Hoenn we were at Sinnoh. But during our time at the Unova region, we ran into Dawn, so that means you were at Unova around the time we were there" Gary said.

Eli nods "yeah the reason I wasn't with them because I wanted to explore the region on my own. and If I've been Honest with you did you guys have met someone named Ryuu?" he then asked.

Ash and Gary look at each other and then a spark came to their head and remembering the mentioned trainer "Ryuu I remember him, the guy who owed a Gibble" Ash said.

Gary shrugged "well is a Garchomp now" he reminded Ash as he remembered that time where he lost in the league to that trainer. 

Eli nods "I first ran into him as he wanted to start his journey." Eli looks down as he was remembering the moments, he would meet Ryuu. "Then there have also been a few occasions that I would meet him. Some would be random, but most of it was during a battling tournament. The last time I meet up with him before heading back to Sinnoh was when we got to run into Team Plasma. I have watched the Unova League, but I didn't finish watching because I had a contest to go to" he explained.

Gary realizes something and he says "Wait, that means you're the guy Ryuu keeps on mentioning!" Gary's eyes widen as Ash remembers the moments Ryuu talked about Eli.

Ash adds "That's right! He would say how he first ran into a trainer with blue hair as we thought it was Dawn, but she said that she hasn't met him. Then he would go to say how they were showing their Pokémon moves in a way that normal trainers wouldn't think of."

Eli blushes a little embarrassed as he never thought that he would have someone say things like that about him. "That sounds like me. Since I've been a coordinator for years, I would occasionally use a coordinator's move set during battles." Eli scratch the back of his head, "You know, he also talks about you guys too." Ash and Gary were shocked as Eli sighs. "The moment he mentions how he meet with a trainer who has a Pikachu, immediately I know that it was you, Ash. But when he mentions a trainer with an Umbreon, I thought it was Gary, but I didn't believe it since it's you two. I don't think anyone would've guessed that you guys would be traveling together."

Ash ask "So, you know that we were in Unova?" Eli nods slowly as Ash's getting upset, and ask again "But...Then...Why didn't you try and look for us!?"

Eli snaps "It's because of this moment right now!" Ash and Gary froze as Eli was looking directly into their eyes. "I had moments where I wanted to see you guys, but it was because of this moment! The three of us don't know what to say! All we're doing is playing a reunion version of 24 questions!"

Ash and Gary were silent as Eli was controlling his breath. Sylveon notices Eli's state as he rubs his head, "Syl Syl." Eli smiles a little as he scratches behind his ears.

"Eli...I-I..." Gary was struggling with what to say as Eli sees Gary about to cry.

Eli says "Gary I-"

Gary cuts him off "Look Eli please! I-I'm..." Gary was now crying as he tries to stay calm. "I'm sorry!" Eli stays silent as Gary continues to cry. "I'm sorry that I said that to you! I was just mad; you weren't talking to me so much and I didn't think before I said that! Please E-Eli..." Gary continues on sobbing. 

Eli looks at the taller brunette male "Oh Gary..." Eli said before hugging Gary as he was frozen by the contact. as Eli continues "I already forgave you. You should know that I'm not the one who can stay mad forever, when we were just little. It's just that...It was just hard to try and find you."

Gary looks at Eli with hope in his eyes "You forgive me?..." he asked.

Eli let's go of Gary and looks at him "of course I do Gare-bear" Eli said as he wipes Gary's tears off his face "You look like a hot mess when you cry" he then commented.

Gary chuckles at Eli's bluntness as he was being calm "it's been a while since you've called me by that nickname" he tells Eli.

Eli chuckled at the memories "It's has been" he replied.

Eli then hears Ash saying as his hands were shaking as he watches the scene. "Eli I'm also sorry!" The two turn to see Ash's head down as Pikachu came to him. as Eli's eyes shows concern "I never meant anything that I said! I was just so angry that I lost again! When you try and talk to me, I just thought that you were gonna make fun of me! But I'm sorry!" Ash continued

Eli slowly went to Ash as he hugs him. "If I know that you guys were gonna cry, I would've brought tissues." Ash hugs tighter as Eli sighs and says "Even after everything that happened, the fact that I hate see you two cry hurts me, still there. Ash, I already forgave you too. In all honesty, I forgot about that moment since you tend to go overboard when you're too emotional. But I think that it just got me off guard." Eli pulls Gary in as the three Kanto trio was in a group hug as Eli finishes "How about we have a new start? don't you think?" Ash and Gary nods while sniffing a little as Eli says "come on let's sleep you guys can take the bed I'll sleep on the floor" before Eli can get up Both Ash and Gary pull Eli in between them.

Eli asks "guys?"

Gary says "please stay here with us"

Ash adds "the truth is...we've missed you" the two hug the blue hair male closer.

Eli blushes and then ask again "so there's no point arguing out of this?" The other two Kantonians shakes their heads Eli sighs "alright guys you win" he said before looking at Sylveon "Sylveon can you turn off the light?" Eli asked his intertwining Pokemon who nodded and does as tell by turning off the light switch with his ribbon before sitting on the couch sleeping unnoticing Pikachu and Umbreon sleeping next to him.

-the next day-

Professor Sycamore and our heroes are now outside of his lab. Professor Sycamore ask our heroes "Hope you all got some sleep even though it's a mess in there." Professor Sycamore looks at his lab as it was still damaged.

Ash says "Yeah! I sleep like a log!" Eli looks at Ash as he was lost by that answer.

Bonnie stretches her arms "Best sleep I've had in a long time" she said as she smiles brightly.

Clemont nods "Thank you for everything!" he said as Gary agreed to it.

"It felt good to sleep somewhere than a hotel's bed" Eli commented.

"I guess your guy's real journey begins now" Professor Sycamore then said.

Ash nodded eagerly, as he replies "Yep!"

Professor Sycamore hands them their region Pokédex "Then please take these with you 'on your journey and make good use of it!" he said.

The Pokédex is card-shaped and has a holographic center that is visible when the two ends are separated. The symbol for the National Pokédex is a Pokéball.

Ash Gladly takes one as Eli takes the other "Thanks a lot, Professor! Are you ready to go, buddy?" Ash looks at Pikachu as he put his fists up. "Pikachu!"

"This is gonna feel weird" All of them look at Eli as they were confused.

"Huh, why is that?" Gary asked his childhood friend.

Eli shrugs "Oh, it's just that I haven't been into gym battles for some time." he explained as Bonnie and Clemont were confused since Eli had some strong Pokémon with him.

Bonnie tilted her head "Then what else have you've been doing?" she asked.

Clemont nods in agreement as he adjust his glasses "I'm also curious since you have some strong Pokemon with you." he said

"I've been doing contests since I'm also a coordinator" Eli explained.

Bonnie's eyes sparkle and exclaims "So cool!"

Clemont comments "It sounds familiar to what we have. Only that it's for girls." Eli just shrugs.

Ash then looks at Professor Sycamore "Good luck with your research Professor! Bye," Ash said before he turns around as he got hit with something "Aah!" Ash turns back as everyone was caught off, they look down to see Froakie and a Poke ball. Ash asks "Froakie?" Froakie scooted the Poke ball closer towards Ash "Froak" the water type Pokemon cried at Ash.

Eli realizes the message as he turns to Ash "I think it was to go with you, Ash" he tells the ravenette male.

Clemont smiles "I can't believe it! Froakie choose you!" he added.

Ash picks up the Poke ball and crouches to Froakie "So Froakie, do you wanna come with us?" he asked.

Froakie went to Ash as he taps on the ball. Froakie was now inside of the ball as after a few shakes it clicked. Ash smile at the Pokeball as he picks it up.

"It's awesome you're coming with us, Froakie!" Ash stated as the Poke ball wiggles as Froakie was responding. "Pikachu, Froakie's our first friend in Kalos!" he then tells his Partner Pokemon who nods agreeing with his trainer's words "Yes! I got a Froakie! Yeah!" Ash cheered.

Pikachu makes a happy cry "Pik! Pikachu!"

Our heroes have now had a new and old friend joining them! Now, what other friends and adventures wait for them! Find out, as the journey continues!
