Third Person's POV

Our Heroes had just arrived to Cyllage where Ash and Eli's second Gym Battle take place as Ash successfully defeated Grant to earn his second Gym badge, and now is Eli's turn to take on the Rock Type specialist, will he be able to climb up the walls Grant has in store for him like Ash did in his Gym battle.

Ash and the other are in the stands while Eli and Grant are in the battlefield.

"The Cyllage City Gym battle between Grant the Gym Leader and Eli the Challenger from Pallet town is about to begin!" the referee announces, "Grant will only allow to use two Pokémon while the challenger will use all of the Pokémon he currently has" The referee instructs.

Eli looks unsure "Grant I understand of the intention of wanting your challengers to show what they got, but are you still sure that you want to do this?"

Grant "I'm positive" he simply replies.

"Alright, then I'm doing this because you insist" Eli then agrees.

"If you please reveal your first Pokémon" the referee instructs.

Ash and the others look at the battle curiously.

"I finally get to see Eli in a actual Gym battle!" he states excitedly.

"Pika!" Pikachu agrees from Ash's shoulder.

Gary crosses his arm "I'm curious about which Pokémon Eli would start off with?" the tall brunette wonders.

Grant pulls out his Poké ball "Amaura, let's go!" Grant shouts as a Amaura appear on the field.

"Grant has a Amaura!" Bonnie states before her and the others notice a dark cloud appearing out of nowhere and balls of hail begins to fall down.

"Where does this hail come from"

"I see Your Amaura has the Snow Warning Hidden Ability, does it?" Eli questions.

Grant looks at Eli surprised "I'm surprised that you know about that...unless" he said before his eyes widen with realization.

"Well, if you're fighting with Amaura, I must fight with my Own Amaura!" Eli shouts as he throws a Poké ball forward as his Tundra Pokémon appears.

"Ma!" the Shiny Amaura cry facing Grant and its Amaura.

Bonnie eyes sparkled "It's Amaura!" Bonnie states happily.

Clemont looks confused "why would Eli start the battle off with Amaura when he could've started off with Braixen?" Clemont questions

Ash leans on the pipes "I wish I know the answer myself, but what I can say is that Eli always has a idea" he says.

"Do your best out there Amaura!" Bonnie cheered.

"Denene!" Dedenne cheers for the Shiny Tundra Pokémon.

"Battle begin!" the referee announces.

"Use Thunder Wave!" Eli command as Amaura releases rings of yellow electricity from its mouth at Grant's, paralyzing it.

"So, it uses Thunder wave, but that won't stop us use Rock Tomb!" Grant commands as Amaura becomes outlined in white energy and raises its head. Multiple gray rocks outlined in white energy then form around its head in the shape of a ring. Amaura then releases the Rock Tomb at the Shiny Tundra Pokémon.

"Like we practice Amaura use Ancient Power!" Eli yells.

makes multiple rocks surrounded by purple energy come out of the ground. Amaura howls as it sending the rocks flying at the Rock Tomb as the Ancient Power overpowers the Rock Tomb hitting the paralyzed Amaura.

"That's one strong Ancient Power" Gary comment.

"Umbre" Umbreon agrees with Gary.

Grant then smirks "Amaura, now!" Grant tells his Pokémon.

Grant's Amaura howls before breaking out of its paralyzed state.

Clemont looks surprised "Amaura break out of the paralyze state" he points out.

"Now Amaura use Take down!" Grant tells Amaura as the Tundra Pokémon charges at the Shiny and slams into it.

The Shiny Amaura gets pushed back and trips as it falls on its back.

"Amaura!" Bonnie calls the Shiny Pokémon.

"Both Amauras are strong" Clemont commented pushing up his glasses.

Maddie frown "I'm concerned since this is Amaura's first official Battle" she says as Serena looks forward.

"Come on, Eli" the honey blonde female says looking at Eli with hope in her tone of voice.

Ash and Gary look at Eli with worry, but they believe in the light blue hair male.

"Amaura, can you still go?" Eli asks Amaura gets up and looks at Eli and nods at him "Use Icy Wind!" He tells his Shiny Pokémon.

Eli's Amaura releases a wind with light blue sparkles inside from its mouth at Grant's Amaura.

"Use Aurora Beam!" Grant tells his Amaura as it creates a glowing rings around its face, and launches a glowing blue and pink beam towards the Shiny.

"Run!" Eli tells as Amaura runs to the side barely dodging the Aurora beam much for our heroes' relief.

"Damn it Eli! He's gonna give us a heart attack and we're not even in our Twenties yet" Whitley says as Maddie agrees.

"Good thing that Amaura run off" the twin sister added.

"Come on Amaura; you can do it!" Ash cheer.

"Pika, Pika!" Pikachu also cheered.

'Grant's Amaura is really strong' Eli thought.

"Use Thunder Wave!" Grant yell making Eli's eyes widen with shock.

"Keep on running!" Eli shouts as the Shiny Amaura runs with all its might until it hid behind a bolder that's about twice it's size. And the Thunder wave hit the boulder instead of the shiny Amaura.

"Awesome! Amaura protected itself from the Thunder Wave with that bolder, Eli used the battlefield to his advantage" Clemont points out.

Eli hears this and smirks 'thanks for the idea, Clemont' Eli thought "Amaura! Use Icy Wind on the battlefield!" He yells catching Grant by surprise.

Amaura uses Icy wind and the battlefield turned into a ice rink "I wasn't expecting this" Grant confesses.

"Well, then expect this. Ancient Icicle power!" Eli shouts confusing everyone.

Eli's Amaura cries as it uses ancient power but unlike previously the rocks are now covered in Ice and surrounded by light blue energy instead of purple. Amaura throws the Ancient Power at Grant's Amaura which it got hit and falls harshly with swirls on its eyes.

"Grant's Amaura is unable to battle, Eli's Amaura Wins!" The referee announces.

"Alright! Way to go Amaura I'm so proud of you!" Eli cheers

"Sylveon!" Sylveon cry with cheer for the Shiny Tundra Pokémon.

"Ma!" Amaura cries happily.

"Eli's Amaura is the last Amaura standing!" Bonnie stated.

Serena smiles joyfully "I can't believe it, Amaura won its first battle!" Maddie stated reminding everyone that it's Amaura's first official battle.

Gary, Clemon and Ash watch his cru-I mean friend win "Alright!" the three of them cheered as Chespin comes out of its Poké ball.

"Pika!/Umbreon!/Chespin-Ches!" the three Pokémon cried cheerfully.

"Thank you for the help Amaura, you deserve a good long rest" Grant tells his Tundra Pokémon before returning it to it's Poké ball and he looks back at Eli "I'm impressed with your Amaura overpowering mine, Eli" Grant confesses.

Eli smiles at Grant "All because of the special training that Ash had planned, but I realized that not everything is depending on speed, so I made a strategy that instead of making me and my team faster, why not making my making my opponent slower" Eli explains.

Ash and the others realize "so that explains why Eli send out Amaura, due to the fact that it can use Thunder Wave" Clemont says.

"Exactly Clemont, due to most of my Pokémon can't jump as higher or run as fast as either of Ash's Pokémon, so I found a different way to turn the tables" Eli explain.

Grant nod and pulls out another Poké ball "alright, let me warn you this one does not like be taken down without a fight, so meet my second Pokémon!" Grant says as he throws his Poké ball.

Then a large, bipedal, dinosaurian Pokémon with a green, armor-like hide covering its body appear before our heroes' eyes. It has two pairs of pointed teeth: one in the upper jaw and one in the lower. Several spikes of varying sizes protrude from the back of its head, neck, and shoulders. Both sides of its chest, the center of its back, and its knees have two triangular holes. There is a gray, diamond-shaped patch of scales covering its belly and a smaller one on its back. It has three claws on its feet and hands. A ring of spikes surrounds the tip of its tail.

"Tar!" The Pokémon roars to the air.

"Tyranitar!" Everyone stated as Serena nervously pulls out her Pokédex.

"Tyranitar, the Armor Pokémon. Tyranitar has a heavily armored body that can withstand powerful attacks and is able to crush a mountain with one hand."

"Amaura, can you continue?" Eli ask before seeing Amaura trembling with fear at the Rock and Dark type in front of it Eli sighs before pulling out Amaura's Poké ball "Amaura return!" Eli then says before returning Amaura to its Poké ball and swaps the Poké ball with another "Alright time for you to go next, Flabébé!" Eli calls out as the Single Bloom Pokémon appears before Tyranitar.

"Bébé!" Flabébé cries happily.

"It's Flabébé!" Bonnie states.

"Interesting choice from Eli's part" Maddie says.

"Battle begin!" The referee announces.

"Tyranitar use Leer!" Grant tells his Pokémon. 

Tyranitar's eyes glow red. Its red outline heads towards Flabébé, and when it hits, the eye outline disappears and the same red outline surrounds the opponent, dropping its defenses.

"Oh no Tyranitar lower Flabébé defenses" Clemont says with worry.

Ash smirks "don't worry I'm sure Eli know what he's doing" Ash reassures the blonde male.

"Flabébé time for you to use the new Move you've learned Sunny Day while following it with Grassy Terrain!" Eli instructs his Fairy type Pokémon.

Flabébé causes a bright and warm light to appear in the sky. Flabébé then releases a light-green ring of energy from her body onto the grass around her, powering up Grass-type moves.

"Now use Magical Leaf!" Eli shouts as Flabébé starts spinning and then releases multiple light green glowing leaves at the Armor Pokémon.

Which it took the hit and makes quite some damages due to the Grassy Terrain power up.

"Not bad, Eli, you sure know how to power up, but can you handle this Rock Tomb!"

Tyranitar gets outlined with white light and a barrage of rock were falling from the sky.

"Start Dodging Flabébé!" Eli tells the Single Bloom Pokémon whose starts floating around while preventing from getting hurt. Keep it like that Flabébé, now, go to Tyranitar!" Eli commands as Flabébé flies closer to Tyranitar "Use Draining Kiss!"

Flabébé flies over to the Armor Pokémon and gives it a kiss. The opponent starts to glow red, and a light-yellow orb of energy flies off from the opponent and into Flabébé, draining Tyranitar's energy.

"Iron Tail!" Grant yells as Tyranitar swing its tail at Flabébé hitting the Fairy-type Pokémon.

"Flabebe!" Eli calls for Flabébé who gets sent flying through to a boulder.

Eli gasped with shock as he sees Flabébé with swirls in her eyes.

"Flabébé is unable to battle, Tyranitar wins!" the referee announces as 

Eli sighs sadly 'I'm sorry Flabébé' the apologizes mentally.

"Oh, Flabébé lost" Bonnie says with sadness.

Clemont pushes up his glasses with a small frown "Can't blame him; steel type moves are strong against a fairy type and with that Leer it was a one hit sweep" Clemont then says.

"Steel type is strong against Fairy-types?" Ash questioned out of shock since he doesn't know that.

Maddie nods at Ash "not just steel types they're weak against, but they're also weak against a poison types" she explains to the Kantonian.

Gary nods understanding the white hair female "just hope Eli knows what to do next" Gary says.

Eli picks up Flabébé "Flabébé, you were amazing, thank you so much" Eli thanked the Fairy type; Flabébé looks up at Eli weakly only for Eli to smile at it, Eli then pulls out Flabébé's Poké ball "take a rest you've earned it" Eli tells the Pokémon before putting the Poké ball away and pulls out another Poké ball "Alright time for my second Pokémon, Marill!" Eli shouts as the Aqua Mouse Pokémon appeared from the Poké ball that he just threw forward.

"Marill!" Marill cried determine to win the battle.

"A Marill, huh? this one seem it has the same battle spirits as the other Pokémon" Grant tells Eli.

Eli smiles at Grant "that's because Marill is the type of Pokémon who determine to become better than it already is, and I'll gladly be the one who will help it archived that desire" Eli confesses while looking at Marill who looks back and nod.

"Rill!" the Aqua Mouse Pokémon cried.

"Alright, then, Tyranitar use Stone Edge!" Grant commands the Armor Pokémon.

Tyranitar slams its hands onto the ground, causing light blue rock pillars to appear out of the ground and rush towards Eli and Marill. although it takes damage from the Hail.

"Marill, move on my count!" Eli tells Marill who nods having full trust in Eli.

Meanwhile Ash and the others were watching with concern as the Stone Edge gets closer to the Aqua Mouse Pokémon.

Eli smirks "Now Marill, Jump and Roll!" Eli tells Marill who did as it was told dodging the Stone edge in time.

Due to the battlefield been covered in ice Marill uses the ice to its advantage. Marill jumps back on its feet and begins to skate around Tyranitar who barely tries to keep its eyes on the Aqua Mouse Pokémon.

"Woah, look at Marill go!" Serena states.

Whitley looks impressed "It's using Amaura's ice rink to its advantage and give it more speed" he says.

Ash crosses his arms "I think he got that from his Pokémon contest background" he stated.

"Pikachu!" Pikachu agrees with its trainer.

Serena looks at Ash confusedly "Pokémon Contests?" she questioned.

Ash, Bonnie, Gary, and Clemont looked at the Honey Blonde with shock and realization "Right you didn't know" they said.

"What they meant is that Eli's a Pokémon Coordinator is similar with what a Pokémon Performer is, but in a Pokémon contest anyone can compete regardless of age, or gender" Maddie explains to Serena who seem to understand nods at Maddie.

"I see those moves he gets it from his Pokémon Contest days" Serena then states.

Maddie nods "that's what it seems like" she replies.

Grant moves his arm forward "Use Rock Tomb!" he commands.

"Heads up Marill!" Eli warns as the Aqua Mouse Pokémon looks up while the Rock Tomb begins to fall down Marill swiftly dodges.

Marill continues on skating the ice cause by Eli's Amaura's Icy wind and Jumps "Marill time to test out, Rock Tomb Climb!" Eli shouts shocking everyone Marill jumps on the Rock tomb climbing it.

"Alright they did it!" Ash proudly cheered.

"Pika!" Pikachu cheers for the Aqua Mouse Pokémon.

Marill keeps on climbing on the Rock tomb until it's now above Tyranitar "Marill time for you to use Bubble Beam!"

Marill shoots a beam of blue bubbles from its mouth at the Armor Pokémon hitting it straight to the face.

"Damn!" Ash and the other yelled with amaze and shock.

Eli looks up at Marill "Now follow it with your Iron Tail!" Eli yelled at Marill.

Marill's tail glows and swings it at Tyranitar forcing the Armor Pokémon to be stumble back.

"Tyranitar, hang on!" Grant tells the rock and Dark, Type Pokémon 'I underestimated it, Marill's stronger than I thought is almost like it's going to evolve soon' he thought "Leer!" Grant commands as Tyranitar uses Leer in attempt to lower Marill's defense stats.

'I really home it works' Eli thinks "Marill Aqua Ring!" Eli yells

Marill cries as water droplets form around Marill's body, and they combine together to create multiple rings of water that surround Marill's body. When Leer instead of getting contacted with the Aqua Mouse Pokémon it gets absorbed by Marill's Aqua Ring much for everyone's surprise.

"What!?" Grant shouts with shock.

Clemont leans forward processing what just happened "The Aqua Ring absorbed Tyranitar's Leer" he states.

Eli sigh with relief "Thank you Arceus" he mutters to himself.

"Veon" Sylveon sighs with relief as well.

"Now Marill, time to bring home the W, use Whirlpool!"

Marill raises its arms, and a large whirlpool appears above its head. but suddenly Marill begins to glow surprising everyone, as Marill Body begins to Change slightly growing a bit bigger once the light fades Marill's now replaced with a blue, bipedal semiaquatic leporine Pokémon that has an ovoid body. The lower half of its body is white with a white, bubble-like pattern above it, which helps to camouflage it in water. It has elongated, rabbit-like ears with red insides and circular eyes.

"Rill!" The evolved Pokémon cried.

Eli smiles joyfully "Azumarill!" Eli stated seeing his newly evolved Azumarill as he pulls out his Pokédex and points it at Azumarill who stills has its Whirlpool above its head.

"Azumarill, the Aqua Rabbit Pokémon, and the evolved form of Marill; this Pokémon uses its large, highly developed ears to hear great distances, even underwater."

"Okay, Azumarill, let's show them how strong you are; throw that Whirlpool!" Eli yells.

Azumarill then throws the whirlpool at Tyranitar.

"Stone Edge!" Grant yells quickly as the Armor Pokémon uses Stone Edge to block the Aqua Rabbit Pokémon's Whirlpool. 

The Water type move overpowers the Rock type move and it pushes through the Stone Edge before hitting Tyranitar causing to make a water explosion.

Once the smoke clears up and sees Tyranitar looking down still standing for a few seconds before falling on its back with swirls on its eyes.

The referee sees this "Tyranitar is unable to battle, Azumarill wins! Which means the winner of this match is Eli the Challenger!" he announces.

Eli eyes lighten up "Alright!" Eli jumps while cheering as Sylveon cries with cheering Eli runs up to his newly evolved Azumarill and hugs it "You were Amazing  Azumarill, you evolved just in time, I can't be even more proud of you!" Eli tells the Aqua Rabbit Pokémon

Azumarill hugs its trainer Back "Azu!" it cried proudly.

Sylveon then joins the hug "Sylveon!" the Intertwining Pokémon cried happily for not Only Azumarill, but for Flabébé and Amaura that they stood up on their own for their first Gym battle.

Grants walks up to Eli "Eli, you did bring me quite a hard time; I'd never battle someone with such unique moves like you just pulled off and for Marill to evolved into a Azumarill was the cherry on top" he confesses "like Ash, as a sign for your victory in the Cyllage City Gym, I'm presenting you the Cliff Badge" Grant tells the Blue hair male showing him the badge.

Eli smiles and takes the Badge "Thank you very much, Grant" he thanked the Dark-skinned male with a smile "Alright, that's two down, six to go! Because I just won the Cliff Badge!" Eli states posing with the Cliff badge while Sylveon, Azumarill, Amaura, and Flabébé who were out of their Poké balls cheer with their trainer.

"Eli!" Eli turns and sees his friends running up to him and the first to congratulate him is Ash who hugs him and picks him up spinning him around "You were amazing!" Ash praised Eli before putting him back down.

Eli gets a bit flustered "T-thanks Ash, I owe you one, your battle brought a bit of a inspiration for mine, so I wouldn't be able to win my battle if it wasn't for you" Eli confesses before smiling at the ravenette Kantonian "Thank you Ash" he then thanks Ash which made the red cap male chuckle with a blush as Clemont and Gary were glaring daggers at Ash.

"Congratulations, Eli!" Maddie and Serena congratulated.

"That battle was as cool as Ash's" Bonnie tells Eli.

Eli smiles at the three girls "thanks, guys" he thanked them.

Grant then looks at Whitley "It's really nice to see you again, Whitley" he tells the white hair male.

Whitley smiles at Grant "Y-Yeah, it's really nice to see you again, too Grant" he responds.

Maddie and Eli look at each other "they are fucking" Eli tells her.

"Oh, they are fucking" she responds before both Eli and Maddie laugh.

Eli then goes up to Clemont and Gary and give them both a peck on the cheek to calm them down "thanks for cheering me on" he tells them making Clemont poking his fingers together with a red face and Gary looks away with a blush that you can see smoke coming out of the top of his head.

'Simps' Bonnie thinks while giggling. 

-scene change-

"Tell me, guys, have you already decided which gym you'll challenge for your third Kalos Gym badge?" Grant asks

"Nope. Guess I'd better start thinking about that" Ash says

Eli nods "I agree with Ash on this one" he agrees.

"I've got an idea!" Serena says making our heroes look at her "I know the perfect place we should go next" she tells them while showing a picture of a tower "the Shalour City Gym! there's the Tower of Mastery nearby and I've always wanted to go see it!" Serena states.

Maddie and Whitley look at each other with sadness which no one notices this.

Grant nods "Yes, Shalour City, good choice. It's quite nice" Grant agrees with the idea.

"Shalour City, sounds good to me" Ash says.

"I think you two will have quite a different battle experience at the Shalour Gym than your typical battle" Grant then says making our heroes minus Eli look at him confusedly.

"What kind of different experience is that?" Ash questions.

Grant winks at them "You'll find out when you get there" he responds while Whitley looks away hiding his blushing face "But I can guarantee you another challenging and fierce wall for you to climb" he then adds.

"Great. then we're going to Shalour City for our next Gym badge" Ash claims.

"And that's that" Serena states.

"More adventures!" Bonnie claims.

"This should be fun!" Clemont comments.

"I agree I wonder what kind of Gym it is" Gary says.

Eli looks at Gary and nod "You can say that again" he adds.

Serena then looks at the twin and see their sad faces "Maddie, Whitley, what's wrong?" she asks making everyone look at the twins.

Maddie and Whitley look at each other and sigh sadly "Well we told you that when we met, we'd say that we'll be hanging around temporarily until we reach to Cyllage City, and... now that we're here, I'm afraid this is where we part ways" Maddie tells them much to the others surprised.

"Maddie's right, we also came to Cyllage City for other motives, and we must accomplish what we came here for" Whitley explains.

"What for?" Gary asks.

"Meeting up with a Family business ally" Maddie answer.

Bonnie looks down with sadness "does this mean this is goodbye?" she questions.

Maddie walks up to the younger blonde "Not really Bonnie, sure we may not see each other for a while, but who knows we might cross paths again" Maddie tells Bonnie patting her shoulder giving the younger female a motherly smile.

Serena feel her heart sunk to her gut hearing this "I see..." she mutters looking down.

"One more thing" Grant calls the other trying to change the subject "Let's have a rematch at the battle Chateau" he says.

Ash nods "you bet!" he responds.

Gary then walks up to Ash "Ash, you know that you need to have the Noble Title of Grand Duke in order to battle Grant at the Battle Chateau, right?" Gary points out.

Ash looks at Gary "Yeah, you're right" Ash says with realization making him more determine "I can do that! It's all part of becoming a Pokémon Master!" Ash states raising his fist in the air.

"Pika! Pika!" Pikachu cries while making the same gesture its trainer does.

Eli laughs as he gets flash back on when he, Ash, and Gary started on their journey on the same day.

"We wish you guys the best out at Shalour City, hope is not the last time we see each other" Maddie tells the others.

Eli nods at the white hair female "the feeling's mutual towards you two" he responds.

Following two tough battles with Grant at the Cyllage City Gym Ash and Eli earned their Second Kalos Gym badge, the Cliff Badge; now our heroes set their sight on Shalour City as their journey continues.

-Scene change-

Maddie and Whitley have entered the Pokémon, and they see a young woman sitting on a table drinking her coffee.

The Woman has Black hair tied into a bun, and green eyes her lips are the same vermillion color of peach-ish pink and wears a white long sleeve a dark blue vest, and a long skirt and heels.

She sees the twins "You finally showed up, I was hoping that you two weren't able to be here in time" the young woman says.

Whitley rolls his eyes "is not like we-" Whitley says before Maddie elbowed her twin brother.

"Tell us what you want miss..." Maddie says

"Right where are my manners, the name is Cerise, Cerise Bianca" the ravenette female introduces herself.

Maddie and Whitley sit down on the table across from Cerise "okay miss Bianca, let's talk about business" Maddie says as Cerise smirks.
