Third Person's POV

In the skies Team Rocket are observing Our Heroes' Pokémon from far away which they're currently eating food

"Targets are currently having lunch" James informed

"My, my, don't they look happy" Jessie comment

"Not after we catch all of 'em!" Meowth said

"Wobbuffet!" Wobbuffet cried while looking at the fourth wall

On their way to Cyllage City our heroes are taking an enjoyable lunch break but little do they know misterious eyes are watching them

Ash, Gary, Serena, Bonnie, and Clemont are eating lunch but Serena looks at Ash who then frown "Ash are you okay?" Serena asked

"I'm fine is just Eli thought of goin off to catch a Pokémon and Gary thought is a good Idea to acompany him but Eli said that he can take care of himself"

Bonnie patted Gary's back "Don't worry Eli's going to be alright, beside he has Sylveon, and his other Pokémon to look after him" she said

"As much as I agreed with Ash that we're a bit concerned about him, since we don't know what he does or what he have to come across from it" Gary admits "but we can't stop him is like our role changed"

"Changed" Serena wonders 

"You see when the three of us started our journey Eli was always the one to look out for us despite that we're a bit older than him" Gary explained 

"Now that you mentioned it, Gary...it sure gives us some deja'vu, huh?" Ash asked his former rival now travling companion

"Yeah is weird" Gary replied before chuckling

-meanwhile-

Eli and Sylveon are walking around the forest looking for a Pokemon to catch maybe

"Now where can I find a Pokémon?" Eli asked himself while looking around 

"Sylveon!" Sylveon cried while looking around as well

Then they see something in the River and is something floating down the river near them

"Sylveon pull whatever that is out of the water!" Eli shouted worried as Sylveon uses his ribbons to pull and grab the blue thing out of the water and is a long, serpentine reptilian Pokémon with sky blue scales and a white underside. It has a rounded snout, oval purple eyes, and a small, white horn on its forehead. On each side of its head is a small, stylized wing, which is white and curves into a swirl at the base. Three blue, crystal orbs adorn its body: one on its neck and two on its tail.

Eli widen his eyes as he instantly recognize what Pokemon is and nervously trembles "i-is a Dragonair, what is it doing here alone?" He questioned while pulling out his Pokedex 

"Dragonair, the Dragon Pokémon. Dragonair can freely make it rain or snow. It's said to be able to fly, even though it doesn't have wings."

"hm... It seems injured" Eli said before pulling out a pokeball "Gardevoir, I need you!" he shouted throwing the pokeball to the air as the Embrace Pokemon appeared "Gardevoir"

"Hey Gardevoir, I need your help. This Dragonair was floating in the water and it's hurt, can you use your Heal Pulse to heal it?" Eli asked his Pokemon who nodded and crouches and places her hands on Dragonair's face and it glows magenta color as he sees that the bruises are fading which Eli sighed with relief "that's a relief, thanks Gardevoir" Gardevoir bowed as Dragonair slowly open it's eyes

"Is okay, now...you're okay" Eli said trying to reasure Dragonair who once it sees him it jump cried fearfully and fleed to hide behind a tree "w-wait don't go!" Eli nervously shouted well he's not afraid of Dragon-types anymore he just being concerned and worry of how Dragonair got hurt that badly and then realizes something

'Is Dragonair...afraid of me?' he questioned, totaly believing that some hoarder or a agressive trainer caused to give Dragonair those bruises 

Eli slowly gets up and walks towards Dragonair in the same pace "I'm not gonna hurt you, promise" Eli said as he pulls out a piece of fruit that he has in his bag as Dragonair hides further to the tree and when it sees the fruit it tilts its head "here you need to eat a least something" Eli tells the Dragon type who slowly come out of hiding and leanning it's head towards the fruit they all hear a sound causes Dragonair to fleed again "Dragonair!" Eli shouted as he and his Pokemon look at the direction and they followed the sound and once they seem to return to camp he sees Ash and the others with three small panda like Pokemon

"What did I missed?" Eli asked gaining everyone's attention as Ash, Gary, and Bonnie went off to wipe the frubbles out of their faces

"Eli, you came back!" Serena stated

"Did you have any, luck?" Clemont asked

"I did crossed path with a Pokemon but it fled away when we heard the sound of bushes ruffling" The blue-hair sighed explaining

Serena then pulls out her Pokedex and scans the panda pokemon

"Pancham, the Playful Pokémon. Though it tries to look tough, Pancham has trouble being taken seriously by opponents."

"But those pancham look so different" Eli commented as Serena tilted her head as she then looks at the Pancham who are now having their faces clean from the frubbles, sitting together and act cute

"These two are much cuter!" Serena stated

"The Pokedex said that they try their best to look tough" Clemont said as everyone else looks a him "I guess this must be their normal face"

Serena put her Pokedex away "So then, why not just make them cuter in the pokedex?" Serena complained

"That's a first" Eli commented looking at Serena surprised

"I've ever hear someone complaining about their Pokedex" Clemont said

Gary crosses his arm "it must have a good reason to, so I would recommend you to not underestimate these Pancham" he warns which Eli nodded in agreement

"You're right Gare bear" Eli replied with a wink "but jokes aside, we should be keeping a eye on them, from personal experience" he added while looking at the Pancham 

'I've seen cute Pokemon who had a evil hidden fang in them, I can't confirm if these Pancham are like Zoroarks dressed as Mareeps, so I can be either right or wrong' Eli thought as the Pancham ran pass Serena and went towards Chespin who was still eating his food

The Three Pancham looked at the food with stars in their eyes which the other Pokemon looks at them confusedly and them smiled at Chespin They cry at him like they're asking him if he could share the Pokemon food with them

"I wonder what they were saying?" Serena wonders out loud

"Maybe if they're asking if Chespin will share its Pokemon food?" Ash questioned

Eli crosses his arms as Gary drops his "It what it seems like..." Eli said as Gary nodded

Serena laugh nervously unsure about Ash's asnwer "Maybe not" she commented before changing the subject "I wish we knew what we meant" Serena said

Eli notice the look of Clemont's face as he sees his glasses bouncing the sunlight "Oh...no" he muttered low enough for no one to hear

"Leave that to me" Clemont said while pushing up his glasses "the future is now thanks to science! Clemontic gear, on!" Clemont stated while pulling out a Picrophone and a odd red boombox "Allow me to present my Pokemon translator" Clemont introduces the invention that he brought out 

Ash, Serena, looks at the invention with awe as Eli and Gary watches with interest

Bonnie sweatdrops "You've got to get better at names" Bonnie said while having her arms crossed

"But it sounds fascinating for sure!" Serena stated

Eli nodded "A simple name but clever" he said 

"My brilliant invention allows the user to understand Pokemon, which facilitates better communication with Pokemon by performing a complete analysis of vocal tone, movement and expression!" Clemont explained before turning to the Pancham "Pancham, will you please say something? Switch on!" Clemont cheered before point the microphone to Pancham who the three playful Pokemon looked at each other and nodded before looking back at the mic

"Pan cha cha cha cha!" the Pancham cried

"What you have belongs to everyone"

"Wow" Eli looks at Clemont in awe but stopped and look back and the woods 'I wonder if I'll ever see Dragonair again?' he wonders

"See? It gave us a perfect translation!" Clemont stated 

"Science is so amazing!" Ash cheered since he know nothing about science

The Pancham looked at each other and snickered which made the Pokemon look at them with concerned

Eli feel something on his shoulder and looks over and sees Gardervoir next to him "what is it girl?" he asked

"I have a odd feeling about these Pancham, is like they're hiding something that we don't want to know" Gardevoir tell him through her Telepathy

"I see..." Eli muttered before the two turning 

"Did they say all that stuff?" Bonnie asked

"Who knows maybe they did" Serena responded "I'll guess they're probably saying what Ash said that Chespin should share its food with them" She said as Bonnie nodded in agreement

The Pancham nodded at Serena

"Why did my machine function properly?" Clemont questioned as he pulls out a screw-driver starting to rearrange the invention
"I suppose my invention could've chosen it's words poorly"

Pikachu, Sylveon and Umbreon runs up to their trainers and cried 

"What, Pikachu?" Ash asked while kneeling to the mouse pokemon's level as Gary and Eli did the same with their Pokemon 

"Sylveon, what's wrong" Eli asked as Sylveon looks at the Pancham acting cute again "I see...you're feeling unsure about them either, huh?" Eli asked the Ribbon Pokemon who nodded as they see the Pancham going up to Bonnie and Serena who the brunette girl patted one of them on the head

"you guys are hungry? I'll get you some food" Serena tell them which the Pokemon seem taken aback 

"You know, perhaps Ash was correct after all" Clemont said while twisting his invention with the screw driver before it exploded on his face a Eli sighed and walks up to Clemont and placed a hand on his shoulder 

"Don't pull yourself down, Clemont, it worked okay, just need some improvement" Eli said with a warm smile before walking back to the others

Serena Place three bowls of Pokemon food infront of the Panchams "Okay! Here you are!" Serena said the Pancham looked at eachother and start eating it before two of them jump off to the table and eat the food and then to the other pokemon pokemon food

Gary notice the third Pancham already full from the bowl Serena gave it and yawn 'Hm...this one seemed full already' Gary thought as he walks up to the half-sleppy pancham and pick him up "you must be full" Gary muttered

The other two pancham lean their back on each other and sighed in satisfaction meaning that they're full

"They ate everything we had!" Bonnie stated as Chespin was stomping the ground crying angrily at the pancham for eating the food

"Called it" Eli thought out loud making Serena and Bonnie looked at Eli confusedly "Clemont's invention worked you just didn't believe it since the previous times Clemont's inventions has some mistake and you got used to it and then forgot about it when the Pancham were acting cute, think about it the translator said "What you have belongs to everyone." which means that our lunch belongs to the Pancham too" Eli explained Bonnie and Serena were about to argue but sighed in defeat knowing that Eli was right 

Clemont looks at the blue-hair trainer in amaze "The Future is now thanks to you" Clemont muttered as Ash's Froakie was near him looks up at the blonde with a small smile

"Like I said, science is so amazing!" Ash praised Clemont as Gary nodded in agreement while carrying the sleepy Pancham

Clemont flatteredly laugh and scratches the back of his head "Aw, I guess you can say that!" he said

"Yeah, Ash's right. I'm impressed, Clemmy Boy!" Gary said

"C-Clemmy boy?" Clemont questioned looking at The taller brunette male

"Is just a fun nickname that he always made up out of fun, like he calls Ash, Ashy boy, which mostly he calls him that just to tease him" Eli explained to the confused Clemont, Bonnie, and Serena 

"Yeah, Ashy boy was so easy to tease back then" Gary added

Ash looks at Gary with red cheeks "Oi! what's that suppose to mean!?" Ash yelled 

Gary points at him "You see?" Gary asked

Pikachu, Froakie, the two Fennekins, Umbreon and Sylveon went up to comfort Chespin as a big shadow coveres them as they look up and see Team Rocket as James throws a box only to be turned into a net

"Pikachu, Froakie!" Ash yelled 

"Fennekin!" Serena called

"Chespin!" Clemont called out

"Umbreon!" Gary yelled as the Pancham in Gary arms jumps out and runs away with the other two

"Sylveon, Fennekin!" Eli yelled befor noticing the familiar hot air Balloon "Are you serious right now!?" Eli asked as he looks at Team Rocket

"Pikcachu's ours friends included" Team Rocket chanted as our heroes frown

"Team Rocket!" Ash yelled annoyed 

"Surprise, Surprise!"

"Time flies!"

"Away to the skies!"

"Stop!" Serena yelled

"Damn it!"

"Oh no they won't! After them Fletchling!" Ash yelled as Fletchling flies towards Team Rocket

"Not so fast!" James said as he calls out his Inkay "Inkay go!" James commanded his Pokemon who nodded and shoots ink from its mouth as Fletchling dodges them as it flies closer but eventually it get inked in the face as it falls

"Fletchling, No!" Ash shouted as he catches the tiny robin Pokemon 

"No? Oh yes!" Team Rocket cheered "Wobbuffet!" Wobbuffet cried appearing out of nowhere

Ash put on his bag and his cap and turns to the other "come on. Let's go!"

"Right behind you!" Gary replied as he put his backpack

Serena nodded in agreement and catches up with the two Kanto Boys 

"Gardevoir, return!" Eli put his hat on and returns the Embrace Pokemon to it's Pokeball, and  he run off

Clemont puts on his bag as Bunnelby climbs up to his shoulder "Please, Help Chespin!" his Little sister tells him

"You can count on me, Bonnie!" He tells her and the two run after the rest

-Meanwhile-

Team Rocket highfived each other

"A Job well done!" They cheered

"There's nothing like work that's lots of fun!" Jessie said 

"In the Boss's eyes, we'll be second to none!" James stated

"Wobbuffet!" Wobbuffet cried

The trio then look down at the Pokemon who they captured who are struggling insider the net as they cried of protest

"We're taking you to Team Rocket headquarters, and turn you into a bunch of useful members of team Rocket society"

Jessie looks up at James "James, shall we notify headquarters?" She asked her partner

"Hold the phone!" Meowth stops her which the two human looked at their talking Pokemon partner "Who's gonna get the credit for this ingenious job?" he asked them as the tension grows in them

"Well I invented the capture Machine" James started

Meowth looks at James "Yeah? Well, I came up with the plan" Meowth told him

"Well, I'm the one who pointed out the key point. It's a no-brainer" Jessie then said as she rested her hands on her hips

"You don't get credit for a stupid thing like that!" James argued

"Oh yeah? Timing is everything!" Jessie argues back

"look, dopes, withouth a plan in place everything else is nothing but a plate with no grub on it!" Meowth yelled as Inkay and Wobbuffet just stays there watching the trio argue

James then grabs Inkay "Remember, it was my inkay who stopped those twerps in their tracks from chasing after us, right!? and I get to see him again" James reminded them before muttering that last part low enough for only Inkay to hear it "And lest you forget who inkay's trainer is. Face it! I deserve the credit in full!" James yelled

"Stop! Enough! I say we decide this mess with a battle!" Jessie stated

"I'll fight the good fight!" James said 

"You're on Chump!" Meowth said as he pulls out his claw ready to attack

"Inkay use psybeam!" James shouted as Inkay prepares to fire a peculiar ray

"Wobbufett, you're up!" Jessie shouted as Wobbuffet gets infront of her and faces Inkay as its body glow

Inkay fires its psybeam as it bounces off Wobbuffet's counter making the beam hit the engine of the ballon making it go overheat and it explode making the capture Pokemon be free from their net but they begin to fall

"you over did it" Jessie stated as She and the rest of them falls as well

little did Pikachu and the other Pokemon know a certain Dragon Pokemon was already watching the occur it

-Meanwhile-

Ash and the others were following team rocket and then notice that the Balloon exploded

"Team Rocket's balloon exploded!" Clemont stated

"Our poor Pokemon" Serena said worried for her Fennekin and the other Pokemon

Clemont looks at the other "So, we need Dedenne's help!" he tells them

"Dedenne's help?" Bonnie asked as the mentioned Pokemon pops out of Bonnie's small yellow bag

Eli smiled "I get where you're going with this, and is a great idea" he said as Clemont nodded 

"When we first met Dedenne, it was utilizing electrical energy to communicate!" Clemont tells her as she then remembers that day

"You're right! Dedenne it'll be great if you could pick up on Pikachu's electricity!" Bonnie said to her Electric type Pokemon

"Dene!" Dedenne cried in agreement to help

"Wow Dedenne can really do that? that's Incredible!" Serena complimented the electric and fairy type Pokemon

"Just wait and see, Dedenne the first thing you need to do is figure out where Pikachu's energy is" Bonnie said  

"We're counting on you Dedenne" Ash said as Eli and Gary nodded in agreement

"Dene!" Dedenne cried before jumping out of Bonnie's bag and runs off as the other follows

-somewhere else-

Sylveon's eyes slowly opens and looks and sees  Umbreon who immediately smile and nuzzles with him

"Umbre!" Umbreon happily cried as Sylveon looks away feeling embarrassed 

"Sylveon..." Sylveon cried with bit of pink on his cheeks as Umbreon pushes Sylveon up with his head

"Umbreon!" Umbreon cried before running off as Sylveon follows

-meanwhile-

Froakie was somehow relax onto the water and feels like someone's coming near where he is and then gets to hide but before he could do that, he sees Pikachu getting out of the bushes 

Pikachu walks up to Froakie

"Pika Pika!" Pikachu cried and points to a direction as a sign for Froakie to follow him which Froakie did after running for a bit they found Chespin or morelike the bottom part of Chespin's body since the rest of it is probably undreground and its stucked 

Froakie grabs one feet and Pikachu pulls Chespin out of the ground as Chespin rubs its head a bit before looking at the two Pokemon 

"Pin!" cried thankfully at them

"Pika, Pikachu!" Pikachu cried explaining that they have to find the others as Froakie and Chespin nodded

"Umbre!" Pikachu, Chespin and Froakie look front and see Umbreon running up to them with Sylveon following behind

"Pikachu!" Pikachu cried happily 

"Chespin~" Chespin cried as his eyes turns into hearts once it sees Sylveon

"Syl?" Sylveon cried asking them if they're okay which the three nodded

They then heard a groan and they all look and see Meowth hanging on a bamboo

"Pikachu!" Pikachu cried surprisingly to see him

"Pikachu, be a pall and help me down!" Meowth said 

"Pika..." Pikachu looked at Meowth unsure if he can trust him 

"We're both Pokemon, right?" Meowth asked

Froakie grabs Pikachu by the hand and shakes his head then "Chespin, Ches, Ches" Chespin cried

Pikachu looks up at Meowth who give him a hopeful look Pikachu sighed defeatedly 

"Yeah! Sounds like okay to me!" Meowth said to them

Pikachu looks at Umbreon who nodded and use Psychic and bring Meowth down that he dug Meowth's head dug underground 

Sylveon sighed and uses his ribbons to pull meowth out of the ground making the talking Pokemon cough out some dirt and then looks at Sylveon who tilt his head "Syl?" Sylveon cried as roses Bloomed around it

"Y-Yeah...I'm okay" Meowth replied Pikachu, Umbreon and Chespin notice the look Meowth had and frown

"Thanks, all you lugs. What do you say we call a truce, pal?" Meowth said Pikachu cried in agreement before the talking Pokemon takes Pokachu's paw and shakes it roughly "I knew I can count on you buddy boy, cause that's just the way you role" Meowth said before getting accidentally shocked by Pikachu who apologized "Hey what was that for? I was paying you a compliment!" Meowth whined at the mouse Pokemon who cried apollogetically again "Well just as long as you understand" he then said

'If I see that Lug again, I'll use these dobe as a Shield' Meowth thought with a chuckle as Froakie looks at Meowth with a untrusted look

Sylveon and Umbreon stayed silent a Pikachu and Chespin tried to convince Froakie

"Pikachu, I'm so glad you and chespin choose to trust me" Meowth said 'Chespin's a chump supremo, I can use that to my advantage. Talk about a sweet deal!' Meowth thought with a inner smirk

"Fro" Froakie looks directly at Meowth who laugh nervously while scratching the back of it's head

'But this Froakie is a different story' Meowth then looks at Sylveon 'And Sylveon seems really gorgeous this close'

-meanwhile-

Jessie and James along with Inkay and Wobbuffet walk around the woods disapointed at what they just went through

"One teensy little explosion and Meowth goes flying off the handle" Jessie said as she and the rest turn to their left and they see the three Panchams jumping out of the bushes

"looks it them" James said 

"The eating machines" Jessie added

"Meeting them here and now must be fate. Should we grab them and make them ours?" James suggests

"Wonderful Idea" Jessie said before chuckling

"Inkay, Psybeam, let's go!" James yelled as Inkay launches it attack and hit them

"How easy can it get?" Jessie asked before noticing some steps coming from behind them

Once they turn around they flinched whe they see a large bipedal Pokémon resembling a humanoid panda bear. It has a stocky build with a round belly, short legs, and long arms with large paws. Its head and belly are covered in thick white fur, while its lower body, chest, arms, and back are covered in equally thick dark gray fur. A long cape of this dark gray fur hangs down behind its back; in combination with the rest of the dark-furred pattern, this gives the impression that the Pokemon is wearing a long coat and trousers. Its three-fingered paws have shorter, darker fur and are tipped with black claws. It has a blunt snout with a triangular black nose, rounded black ears, prominent fangs in its lower jaw, and black semicircles under its brow that make its eyes indistinguishable.

"W-Who might you be?" Jessie questioned

James points at the Pancham "It bears a strange resemblance to those three" James said as Wobbuffet cried to the fourt wall

Inkay goes up to the big panda-like Pokemon once it turns to Inkay. the little squid pokemon shoots ink on the larger Pokemon's face making Jessie and James tensed up out of fear

The Pokemon's arm glow white and swings at team Rocket making them fly up to sky blasting off again

-Meanwhile-

the two Fennekis looks at it's reflexion and Serena's Fenneki notice it's tail and starts licking it trying to restyle it before hearing familiar cries of their friend

"Fenne!" The Shiny Fennekin cried happily when he sees Froakie and runs up to it "kin!" Fennekin nuzzles with Froakie who blushes and looks away

Serena's Fennekin however noticed Meowth and points at him with a unsure expression "Fennekin" Fennekin cried as the other Fennekin stopped nuzzling Froakie and frowns at Meowth

"Pikachu!"

"Fene!"

"From now on, we're best of friends!" Meowth

"Sylveon" Sylveon cried with a expression that said "only for now" in which Meowth took it a back

"Fennekin" Fennekin smiled but then looks sad and looks at its tail

"Your fluffly little tail got all dirty, so you wann clean it?" Meowth asked

Fenekin nodded "Kin"

Froakie notice the Shiny Fennekin's tail "Froa?" it cried questioning while pointing at the Tail

"Fene" Shiny Fennekin cried back nodding sadly

"you two really like to look good, now, don't you" Meowth asked as the Fennekins nodded

Froakie pulls out some of his frubbles and style the Fennekins' tails which the fire types cried happily as the Shiny gives froakie a lick on the face making the Water Starter blush and scratches the back of its head

"Hey! So you can use your frubbles for keeping things all neat-like and tidy" Meowth said

-Meanwhile-

With Ash and the others following Dedenne who stopped as its sensing a electrical energy near by

"Look Dedenne stopped" Gary tells them

"Did you find Pikachu?" Ash asked

Dedenne then start running off as the group followed the Antenna Pokémon

"I think it just did, let's follow it" Eli tells his friend as the others nodded

With Pikachu and the other Pokemon suddenly Pikachu senced a familiar electrica presence as they all look back and see the two Fennekins eating twigs all the sudden as well

"Kin!/Fen!" The Fennekin cried happily

"That's a twig! That really taste good?" Meowth questioned

The two fire types cried in approval as Chespin picks up a piece of twig and takes a bite of it but it disgusted it and throws the twig away making it land on a big Panda-like Pokemon's head making it roar angrily

"Pan!" it roared

"is cranky pants!" Meowth stated running away from the other Pokemon which the others did

Only Chespin looking around panicking not knowing where to go so it attack the bigger Pokemon with its Pin Missle Causing the bigger Pokemon to get even angrier but then suddenly before the Pokemon could do anything to the grass-type Starter Pokemon I sits down depressively causing the three Pancham to go and check on it which the other Pokemon that were there were confused at the sudden change of mood

"Pikachu!" the Pokemon turn their head and see Ash and the others running up to them

"Pika pi!" Pikachu cried happily as he runs and jump on his trainer's arms

"Is the twerps" Meowth muttered with a frown when he sees the group

Ash catches Pikachu "Pikachu, you're okay!" Ash said with relief as he kneels down and Froakie hops toward them "Froakie you're okay, too?" he asked

"Froa" Froakie cried

"Sorry we took so long" Serena apologized to her starter Pokemon who cried happily to see her trainer again

Clemont and Bonnie run up to the Grass starter Pokemon as Clemon then kneel, Chespin runs up to them "Chespin, you okay?" the Blonde trainer asked as Chespin nodded

"Glad that you're okay, Umbreon" Gary said to his Partner "Umbre" Umbreon cried in agreement

Eli kneel "Sylveon, Fennekin you're okay!" he stated as his two Pokemon jump in their trainer's arms and licking/nuzzling his face making Eli laugh as the other three males look at the blue headed trainer, and blushed as Bonnie and Serena looked at each other and giggled

'Oh...now I get it now' Meowth thought while looking at Ash, Gary, and Clemont's reaction before walking up to them "Wow! isn't this grand" he said acting happy to see them

"Meowth!?" Ash stated with disbelief when he sees Meowth standing there 

"What are you doing here!?" Serena questioned

Eli then stopped her "wait..." He said "remebered the explosion? since Meowth was here all alone I can tell that he got separated from his comrades from it" he theorized

Meowth looked at Eli with shock "how did you-" he said but got cut off by the bright blue hair male

"It was just a theory but thanks for confirming it for us, and we don't care really what caused the explosion, and second who's that Pokemon?" Eli said before questioning about the depressed Pokemon as he pull out his Pokedex

"Pangoro, the Daunting Pokémon and the evolved form of Pancham. Pangoro has an ornery personality. It holds a bamboo sprig in its mouth, which allows Pangoro to detect surrounding movements."

"Something's odd about him" Eli said while tilting his head he looks at the picture in the pokedex and then at Pangoro again and widen his eyes in realization "uh huh!" he shouted making everyone look at him "guys look at Pangoro it doesn't have a bamboo sprig on its mouth, that explains why it look depressed" he said as the others also notice

"Yeah, Eli's right!" Serena agreed

"You see Chespin broke the bamboo sprig" Meowth explained

"Poor Pangoro" Ash said

"Chespin got spooked and accidentally hit it with a Pin Missle" Meowth added

"I'm so very sorry" Clemont apologized to Pangoro "I feel so awful about this" he added

"You can say that again" Gary added crossing his arm 

Then the Pancham cried angrily as Meowth stood in between everyone

"These pouty Pancham are fit to be tied, They're saying that they need to get their paws on another bamboo sprig, so that their leader can get back to speed"

"But are there lots of bamboo sprig all around us" Ash questioned

Eli hummed "I mean yeah, but I believe that we have to find a special bamboo sprig, like the Happiny line and the egg that they always carry with" he said in which Pancham cheered confirmed that what the blue hair trainer said is true

"You're right! that's what they said" Meowth translated "and that Bamboo grows on a certain rock just up ahead" the talking Pokemon added

"It is true that Pangoro have their own favorite bamboo, and it's also true that they'll keep searching for that kind of bamboo until they find it" Clemont said Pancham nodded "I'll go and find some since I'm Chespin's trainer it's my resposibility" he added before turning to his Pokemon "Come on Chespin, let's look together

"I'll come too!" Ash said

Bonnie looks up at her older brother "We gotta help them" she said

"The sooner the better, let's go!" Serena cheered before looking at the Pancham "Pancham, can you show us the way?" she asked in which two of them nodded as they look at the third Pancham having a conversation that seem that they're telling it that it should stay and keep Pangoro company 

"I'll keep it covered right here I'm worried about Pangoro" Meowth said

Serena looks at the talking Pokemon with a unconvinced look "you worried?" She questioned

Meowth looked at the girl offended "Hey! I have a heart!" Meowth said

-time skip-

Two Pancham were guiding the group where they can find the Bamboo sprig as they were crossing a river

"I'm sorry. It's my fault you're dealing with this" Clemont apologizes to the othes as he cross

Eli shakes his head and pets Clemont's "I really need to get use to hear you apologizing for the smallest things, you didn't know" he said

"Come on we're just helping each other out, like we always do" Ash said 

"That's what friends are for, right?" Gary replied

the Group then run up a heard following the Playful Pokemon but there was something that has been bothering the brunette female

"Something worries me about Meowth" Serena said

"How much trouble can he get on it's own?" Bonnie questioned

"Don't underestimate him, Meowth can be small, but he's incredibly inteligent" Eli warned "Sylveon!" Sylveon cried agreeing with his trainer

-meanwhile- 

Meowth was staring at the Pancham looking after Pangoro till he heard a familiar whisper

"hey meowth" Meowth looks back and sees Jessie and James from behind near bushes "Finally we found you" Jessie said

"you certainly get around" James added

"Wobbuffet!" Wobbuffet cried but gets hushed and pushed down by both Rocket grunts

Meowth smiled at seeing them again so he runs towards them "Pallies, my buds" he said before looking at Pancham who's still looking after the bigger Pokemon before turning back to Jessie and James "So glad to see you mugs" Meowth said

"So what happened to mister big?" Jessie asked looking at the depressed Pangoro

Team Rocket looked at Pangoro for a bit "that Lump turned my good day into a rotten one"

They look back at each other "Here's the scoop..." Meowth said

-meanwhile-

The Group arrived to a stoned hill where on top there's a Bamboo tree

"All the way up there?" Ash questioned whill looking a the high up bamboo

"Why would Pangoro would choose its Bamboo sprig from way up there?" Serena asked

"Must be quite a finicky type" Clemont said 

"So how do we get it?" Bonnie asked as Ash walks up to the not so tall mountain

"Ash what are you doing?" Eli asked

"He's gonna do something stupid" Gary muttered

"Hey is not stupid!" Ash shouted

"I got a idea" Serena said gaining everyone's attention "And is a much easier way to get on that bamboo" she added "Use vine whip" Serena said 

Clemont like the idea "Of course, let's try it, Chespin!" He said to his Pokemon who cried happily "Vine whip, go!" Clemont shouted while pointing at the Bamboo as Chespin summons vines which they went up to the top of the mountain as Chespin tried to find the sprig which it did and uses it's vines to pull that bamboo out and pull it back down and Chesping goes to the Pacham and gives it to them which they thanked the Grass-type

"Alright, now we must get back, I don't know why but I have a bad feeling" Eli said before he the group head back to where Pangoro, Meowth and the other Pancham are

-time skip-

"Pangoro! We got it" Ash shouted as he runs up to the Daunting Pokemon with the others following behind

Eli noticed Team Rocket standing there with Pancham and Pangoro tied up "I knew it!" He shouted.

"Team Rocket!" Ash stated.

"You dumb twerps, is a Family reunion with the Team Rocket clan" Meowth said.

"We thought we wait and wish you welcome" Jessie added.

Eli sweat drop "Can you come up with something more original?" Eli asked making everyone else fall to the bluntness.

"Not the time to be blunt Eli!" Gary tells him.

"You Better let Pangoro and Pancham go, now!" Ash yelled.

Eli looks at the trio serious "I refuse to let you guys to get away with this...I mean... I've never did" he said.

"you tell them" Serena cheered for the two.

"Oh? Got Battle fever?" James asked. 

"Kay, Pikachu come with us if you know what's good for you" Meowth tells the Mouse pokemon before pulling out his claws "It'll be a drag to see a muse as a scratching post" he added.

"A what!?" Ash questioned angrily.

"They got us cornered" Gary added also angry.

"You cowards, Pangoro can't even move!" Serena whined.

"Aren't we smart?" James asked mockingly.

"Smart and unoriginal" Eli reply making James go to the corner and sulk.

"Say take a look at my friend it's been a bit since we'd used it in battle" Eli's eyes widen at what Jessie said "Now team Rocket is stronger than ever!" She said as she sends out her Pumpkaboo

"Pumpka!"

"So, you're finally calling out Pumpkaboo" Eli muttered low enough for only Sylveon and Fennekin to hear.

"Sylveon/Fenne" they cried.

"So, team Rocket got a new Pokemon" Ash commented.

"That's a Pumpkaboo" Eli said

"You knew?" Clemont questioned looking at the blue head.

"I'd battle it once and the last time I did was at Santalune City when they tried to capture Sylveon, luckily Roy and Antony helped me out with their Pokemon" Eli explains as Ash pulls out his pokedex

"Pumpkaboo, the Pumpkin Pokémon. Pumpkaboo's eyes can glow, which lights the way for travelers. They often sleep in the ground."

"Pumkaboo use Leech seed!" Jessie shouted as Pumpkaboo fires a fews seed at the Group's Pokemon

Eli gasp "Fennekin, Sylveon look out!" he warned but it was too late for his Pokemon as they were trapped by some vine that grew from the ground and so did the other Pokemon

Eli looks around and see the other Pokemon as Pumpkaboo's eyes glow and the vines starts to absorb the "Shit, this is bad..." Eli cursed

"See Leech Seed has the ubelievable to siphon off your power" Jessie tells the group

"Now really put a squeeze on them" James said snapped out of his sulk

"What are we going to do?" Serena asked her friend while trying to break Fennekin out of the Leech seed 

'If only there's something I can do...' Eli thought as he looked around and noticed a familiar blue colored Pokemon hidden behind a near bamboo tree which he smiled but only Sylveon noticed it Eli looks at the others then at the bamboo sprig and picks it up. 

Gary while ripping the vines off Umbreon he notices Eli "Eli, what are you doing?" he questioned his childhood friend.

Eli shows the sprig to Pangoro "Pangoro, look! I got the Bamboo, you like!" He shouted as the Daunting Pokemon looks at him Dragonair seems to realize what was going on and howls worriedly 'Dragonair, I know you're here, please help me save my friends' Eli thought before starting to run.

"Eli!" the group called the blue hair male as Sylveon and the Shiny Fennekin cried worry for their trainer.

"HA!" Eli shouted as he runs with his speed surprising Team Rocket

"What's that twerp doing?" Jessie asked.

James looked at Eli hesitant since he didn't want to hurt him, but he shouted at Inkay "Okay Inkay Psybeam!"

"SYLVEON!" Sylveon cried warning Eli to be careful, but the Psybeam got countered by a ice blue beam which surprises everyone as Eli smirked as sees Dragonair catching up to him.

"A Dragonair!?" The Group shouted in disbelief.

"Thanks, Dragonair!" Eli thanked the Dragon-type who howled happily. 

"Pumpkaboo use Shadow Ball!" Jessie shouted as Pumpkaboo hurls a shadowy blob.

"Pumpka!" Pumpkaboo cried as it launches its Shadow Ball at Eli and Dragonair.

Eli gasp before shouting "use Ice beam again!"

Dragonair howl as it's horn glow ice blue color and fires a beam out of it making a smoke screen on Team Rocket

Eli run past them "Here we go!" Eli shouted while he jumps Eli place the Bamboo sprig on Pangoro's mouth as he then Landed on Dragonair's back and they flew away "I knew you would come around Dragonair!" he said to the Dragon Pokemon how happily howled at him.

"Got it" Ash asked as he tries to look while the smokescreen was clearing. 

Pangoro broke out of the ropes it's tied up and roars.

"All right!" Ash cheered.

Pangoro's arm light up and it swings at Team Rocket sending them blasting off.

"We're blasting off again!" they shouted.

The leech seed vanishes as now the Pokemon are free.

"you're all right!" Serena said with relief as Eli and Dragonair landed.

"Way to go Eli!" Clemont cheered.

Gary and Ash on the other hand they were shocked as to know now the fact that Eli got over his fear of Dragon Types 

"Eli..."

"...Faced his fear"

the two Kantonian boys looked at each other and look at Eli and smiled as Eli pats the Dragon Pokémon's head.

"I owed you so much Dragonair..." Eli said before he hugs Dragonair "Thank you" he said as Dragonair accepted the hug and howl.

 The two then let go of one another and catches up to the others as Pangoro and the Pancham walk up to them.

"Pangoro's so strong" Clemont commented. 

"The power of that bamboo is awesome" Serena added.

Ash looks up at Pangoro "Thanks a lot for getting us out of the though jam Pangoro" Ash tell him.

Clemont scratches the back of his head "We know we caused a lot of trouble for you." Clemont said before bowing "We're sorry" he apologized as his Pokemon also bowed.

Pangoro shakes his head signaling Clemont that it wasn't that big of a deal.

Gary understood the impression "You can say that again" Gary said as Eli smile but then frown sadly Gary noticed this "What's wrong?" Gary asked as the others looked at the blue head.

"I'd scared you guys; I didn't mean to...I'm sorry" Eli said before looking away

Ash walks up to Eli and hugs him "what matters is that you're okay...leave the recklessness to me, alright?" Ash tells him before letting go as Eli roll his eyes and chuckle.

"I can't promise that I'll do anything like that again, but I'll be more careful" he said.

Dragonair gently nudge Eli with its head making the blue head male smile at it.

"So, this is the Pokemon that you encountered earlier, Eli?" Bonnie asked.

Eli nodded at the shorter girl "yeah, we found it when it was floating to a nearby river and I could tell that it was badly injured, so Sylveon and Gardevoir helped me pull Dragonair out of the water and treated it's wounds-"

"So that's where you went?" everyone looks back and see three bulky taller trainers walking up to them. 

"Who are you?" Serena questioned confusedly.

"Is simple, we're here for the Dragonair" one of the trainers said with a smirk. 

Dragonair howls with fear and hides behind Eli who frowned "So you're the ones who harmed Dragonair?" Eli asked angrily who Ash and Gary flinched at the tone of voice.

"Yeah, what's it to you?" the other trainer asked. 

"If you wanted to capture a Pokemon you shouldn't go too hard on it" Eli said 

"Sylveon!/Kin!" Eli's Pokemon cried in agreement.

"Oh yeah, what are you gonna do about it?" the leader taunted Eli.

Eli pulls out a Pokeball "I challenge you three to a Pokemon battle! if I win you guys leave Dragonair alone" he challenged.

"Sylveon!" Sylveon cried.

The three trainers laughed "You!? Challenging us? you must be stupid or something" the second trained questioned with a psychotic smile.

"Did I stutter?" Eli asked with a cold tone.

"Whatever we're three and you're just one" the leader reminded him.

Eli then feels hands on both his shoulders he looks on his left and right and sees Gary on his right and Ash on his left 'Ash... Gary' he thought. 

"Eli's not alone!" Ash stated.

"He has us!" Gary added.

"Pika Pika!" Pikachu cried as he glares at the three taller trainers.

"Umbre!" Umbreon cried also glaring.

Sylveon looked at Pikachu and Umbreon in awe "Syl..." it cried.

"Oh great now we have to battle a Faggot and his boyfriends" the leader said with not a care in the world making Clemont Bonnie and Serena gasped with shock while Gary and Ash look at the leader angrily.

"That's uncalled for!" Serena shouted.

"Clemont..." Bonnie calls her brother concerned as she notices her brother's eyes widen.

'They have the audacity to call him by that name' Clemont thought as he gets surrounded by a murderous aura making Serena pull Bonnie away from the Blonde Gym leader.

"You know the last time I was called by that name was 8 years ago and that person said it without thinking but I forgave him...but a Stanger calling me that?" Eli said before chuckling "You're lucky that my family isn't here because they will immediately make you eat your words, but don't worry, you shouldn't be afraid of them" Eli added with a smile before turning into a expression that could kill you "in fact you should be afraid of me" he finished before looking back at Ash and Gary "Ash, Gary, I'm sorry that you have to get involve into this" Eli apologizes.

Ash and Gary look at Eli and shake their heads "you shouldn't apologize that much" Gary said before turning to the three trainers "plus we're gonna make them eat their words." he added.

"He's right, Eli" Ash added as Pikachu and Umbreon nodded in agreement "Like the old times" He added.

Eli smiled at the two while remembering the times when they worked together to deal with Team Rocket when they did come across them "Thanks, guys" Eli said before looking back at Dragonair "Don't worry Dragonair, I'll make sure those bullies regret hurting you, okay?"

Dragonair looks at Eli and nodded.

"Alright, let's get them, Magmortar, let's go!" One trainer stated as a Magmortar appeared "Magmor!"

Serena Pulls out her Pokedex and scan Magmortar

'Magmortar, the Blast Pokémon and the evolved form of Magmar. It launches fireballs that can reach temperatures over 3,600 degrees from the ends of its arms and lives in volcanic craters.'

the leader trainer pulls out his Pokeball "Toxicroak, let's show them!" he shouts as Toxicroak appears.

"Croak!" 

Serena scans Toxicroak

'Toxicroak, the Toxic Mouth Pokémon, and the evolved form of Croagunk. Toxicroak's throat has a poison sac, and its poison stirs and becomes even more potent when it croaks.'

"Don't forget about me!" The other trainer said before throwing the Poke ball to the air as a Poliwrath appeared facing the three Kanto males Serena then scans Poliwrath trough her Pokedex

'Poliwrath, the Tadpole Pokémon. Poliwrath is an excellent swimmer, and its powerful muscles make its attacks extremely effective.'

"Po!"

"Alright Pikachu I choose you!" Ash shouted as Pikachu jumps forward.

"Umbreon let's go!" Gary shouted as Umbreon jumps forwards as well.

Eli takes a deep breath "All right, Sylveon re-" Eli said before noticing Dragonair flying forwards and glares at the trainers which surprised the blue head trainer "Dragonair?" Dragonair turns to Eli and looks at him with a determined look on its face.

"What's going on with Dragonair?" Eli heard Serena asking.

"I see Dragonair wants revenge for hurting it, so Dragonair wants to battle with Eli" Clemont said.

"Dragonair..." Eli looked shocked 'It's so cool' he thought "All right, Dragonair, I'm counting on you!" he tells the Dragon Pokemon who howled and turns back to its attackers with a new funded confidence as Eli pull out his pokedex to see Dragonair's moves 'So Dragonair uses, Ice beam, Fly, Surf and Dragon Tail I can work with this' he thought.

"Alright enough talk, Magmortar use Flamethrower!" the red head trainer shouted as Magmortar fires a flamethrower blast at them.

"Umbreon use Shadow ball to counter!" Gary yelled as Umbreon hurls a shadowy blob at the Flamethrower making it make a smokescreen the Shadow Ball flew through the smoke and hits Magmortar

"Poliwrath use Ice punch on Umbreon!" the less bulky trainer commanded his water type pokemon as it charges at Umbreon

"Dragonair, use Ice beam and Immobilized Poliwrath" Eli shouted as Dragonair fires its Ice beam attack from it horn and hit Poliwrath's feet freezing them forcing Poliwrath to stop moving.

"Magmortar use flamethrower again this time on Pikachu!" 

"Pikachu use Quick attack to dodge!" Ash shouted as Pikachu does as tell.

"Dragonair, Fly!" Eli shouted as Dragonair soars up to the sky.

"Don't let it get away Ice beam!" Poliwrath fires his Ice type attack Dragonair dodges the Ice beam attack with ease as if it was dancing in the sky before dives downward towards Poliwrath 

"Use Ice beam, too!" Eli shouted as Dragonair fires its Ice beam while in the process the Ice beam started to surround the Dragon Pokemon as if Dragonair's using Arial Ace. Serena, and Bonnie look at Dragonair in awe as the Dragon Pokemon hit Poliwrath making it fall on its back with swirls on its eyes

"Poliwrath!" 

"All right time to get serious, Toxicroak use Dark Pulse!"

"Oh no you don't Umbreon counter with your Dark Pulse!" Gary shouted as Umbreon hurls a dark energy from his mouth and the attack clash and causes a explosion.

"Kay Pikachu use Iron tail!" Ash shouted as out of nowhere Pikachu hit Magmortar with his glowing tail, forcing the Fire type pokemon to kneel "Now use thunder bolt" Ash shouted as Pikachu releases a electrical blast at Magmortar hitting it and falls forward with swirls in its eyes

The leader grunts in annoyance "Weak!" he said before looking at the Kantonian trio and flinched seeing their faces.

"Ash, Gary, let's finish this" Eli said as his childhood friends nodded.

"Come on, guys you can do it!" they hear Serena cheering.

"Go get him Pikachu, Umbreon, Dragonair!" Bonnie shout

"Let's go!" Clemont cheered as the other Pokemon including Pangoro and the Pancham

"Don't think you won!" the leader stated "Toxicroak use double team then poison jab!"

An idea occurs in Eli's mind "Gary, Ash tell Umbreon, and Pikachu to get on Dragonair's back!" he tells his tag partners.

"Alright! Pikachu!"

"Umbreon Do it!"

Both Pikachu and Umbreon nodded as they hop on Dragonair's back

"Use Surf!" Eli shouted as Dragonair howls as summons a huge wave from behind it and took down all the Toxicroaks as the real one gets trapped in the huge waves "Ash now!" he yells at the ravenette male.

"Pikachu thunderbolt!" Ash shouted as Pikachu send a electric shock to the Dark and Poison type knocking it out unconscious.

"Huh!?" the leader gasped in disbelief. 

"No way!"

"Boss lost"

"Alright you three you know the drill, leave and never bother us again!" Eli said making the trainers run off after returning their Pokemon

"I won't forget this!" the leader shouted as he runs off with the other two following behind.

Eli sighed and went to Dragonair "You did great for your own battle Dragonair" he said as Dragonair howled happily.

-time skip-

The sun was setting the group are making their goodbyes to the Pancham and Pangoro

"See ya later!" Ash said as he and the others waves at the Daunting and Playful pokemon who wave back.

"Hope to see you again soon!" Eli smiled and wave at Dragonair who tilted its head confusedly Dragonair flies toward him and nuzzle Eli and howls "What is it, Dragonair?" he asked.

Gary chuckled "Eli, I think Dragonair want to come with you" he tells the blue head.

Eli gets surprised hearing that and looks at Dragonair "you want to come along with me Dragonair?" Eli asked the Dragon Pokemon who nodded and howl happily which made Eli laugh "Okay deal!" Eli said as he pulls out a empty Pokeball "Pokeball let's go!" he shouted before throwing his Pokeball to Dragonair which it hit and Dragonair gets in the poke ball and falls to the ground the Pokeball wiggled three times before it clicked.

Eli smiled as he runs up to the Pokeball "I just lucky to have you on the team, Dragonair!" he stated while posing with the Pokeball as Sylveon cried cheerfully.

Gary smiled at seeing his crush with a new Pokemon friend "Pancham!" Gary heard a cry and looks down and sees a Pancham looking at him with hopeful look which Gary looks up at the Pangoro who nodded at him which Gary realized and laughs and pulls out a poke ball.

"We'll looks like Eli isn't the only one with a new friend, huh?" Gary said before showing the Pokeball to Pancham as Pancham touches the poke ball and goes it then it clicked after wiggling three times "Welcome to the fam, Pancham!" he shouted as Umbreon cried cheerfully.

And so, with their unexpected detour behind them our heroes leave the bamboo forest, along with two new friends Pancham and Dragonair. But it seems they've forgotten something important.

"We never finished lunch! We totally forgot about eating" Ash said

"I knew you would say that" Eli said as he pulls out a basket similar to the one Serena had and shows them some macarons "here, I bake them at the kitchen Clemont's dad let me borrow to make while everyone was asleep" he explained.

They all looked at the Macarons with stars in their eyes "Eli you're our hero!" the chanted. 

"Pika!/Umbre!" Umbreon and Pikachu cried happily.

Gary takes a sniff of them "it still feels warm" he commented as he picks up one.

"yeah so make sure they're still warm I asked my Fennekin to use its heat to warm them up for me" Eli explain "Now come on, these macarons can't eat themselves" he said before walking ahead. 

"Right!" the others agreed.
