Fear. That was what pounded through his soul. The fear of death. Only a few feet away hung the gun, definitely loaded. She wasn't lying. She would shoot him if he acted funny. Watching, she continued to press her narrow eyes closer together, no doubt looking for any signs of a brainless zombie to justify her shot.
Instead, Sans slowly raised his arms over his head, staring at the gun with uncertain eyelights. No thanks. If this girl was crazy enough to tackle him and kidnap a zombie, she was crazy enough to shoot.
Clearly, she hadn't been expecting his response, as she took a step back, not expecting a zombie to show coherency, much less the universal sign of defeat.
"Stand up," She said.
Sans gurgled insults in his zombie language, getting up. Best not to let her know he was cussing her out. She was crazy, and had a weapon. This was going to be fun.
No, not really. He was terrified and he was probably going to die.
"Go to the entrance." She cocked her gun towards the building.
Now that Sans was outside of the car, he properly got a look at his surroundings. They seemed to be standing in front of a large school, parked in the parking lot behind a large gate and fence. Even if he got a head start, he wouldn't be able to climb it. Behind the fence, he could see numerous zombies idly about, trying to break in and eat the survivors. So he wasn't in his town anymore. These zombies probably haven't met Jane. They seemed jealous of him, but if he could swap places, he absolutely would.
Sans took a glance back at the fish monster, hands still held up near his skull as he trudged towards the building. She looked rather uncertain, catching his look.
"No, look in the front!" She said, motioning her gun.
He didn't comment, only looking forward. There were plenty of zombies outside, why did she grab him?
Two guards, both wearing some type of medieval looking armor, were guarding the front doors. One of them had horns, and two bunny ears stuck out of the other head. Both had large guns in their hands, immediately pointing towards Sans when they saw him approaching.
"Undyne, he's a-" One of them said, the bunny one to be specific.
"Yeah, I know," Undyne said, "Don't shoot him."
"Let a... zombie in... here?" The other asked, voice smooth and slow. "He will bite... everyone..."
"Yeah, bro, we guard these doors to make sure they don't get in!" The bunny said, "If we let him in, he'll infect us from the inside out!"
"He won't bite," Undyne said.
"Don'ttthhh... eagggg... eattt... peoplffff..." Sans said, trying his best to sound as clear as possible.
Everyone paused their arguments, looking over at Sans with shocked faces. They definitely didn't expect for him to talk, as jumbled as it was.
With the proof of his speech, the two slowly stepped aside, letting Sans and Undyne through. Taking in a breath for confidence, Sans stepped into the darkness of the front doors, ready for whatever was waiting behind them.

The flickering light on the screen continued to stay put, Ben watching as the red signal bleeped on. There wasn't anymore movement, this wasn't a pit stop.
'Sans stopped,' Ben wrote, tapping the paper to get Jane's attention.
"What?" Jane asked, walking over from her phone where she had been quickly typing. "What do you mean?"
'Oh, um...' Ben wrote, gesturing to the screen. 'I sorta may have installed a tracker on his phone. He was driving really fast, but he's stopped in the next town over. In the school. Whoever took him doesn't live too far out." Ben pulled out his phone. "I'm looking on google maps to scope out the area, and... crap, that must have been a rich kid town. It's the town right under Mount Ebott, and the school is massive. It's even got this big fence and gate out front, we aren't breaking into there without being seen.'
"Do you have a tracker on my phone?" Jane asked, narrowing her gaze at him.
'... Not important. The important fact is that I found Sans. We know where he is. Isn't that great?'
"Yes, it is," Jane said, "But he's not here, and that b*tch isn't dead."
"Hhfhfjf. (Holy crap,)" Ben muttered. Jane was scary when Sans was kidnapped.
"(What's going on with Sans?)" Sally asked, hugging Charlie close to her chest.
It felt like some sort of cruel joke. Whoever Sans had attacked with the chemicals yesterday, they had taken Charlie and used the bear as a lure to capture Sans, yet left Charlie behind after they got him. Sans in exchange for the bear.
"I don't understand why she just kidnapped him," Jane said, "I get he's incredibly cute and adorable, but I'm the only survivor who knows you guys are able to think. Why did she stage the trap?"
'Didn't Sans mention that he had to create a little trap out of the toilet paper and chemicals to get away?' Ben asked, 'She probably saw him do that and wanted to take him for... maybe experiments or something.'
Jane stared down at the word 'experiments', narrowing her black eyes. "We're getting a car and we're driving over there."
'Us and what army? You might be strong, but the fence is really high, not to mention if she took him there, there's probably other survivors with her.' Ben clicked the pen. 'We can't just rush over there. I get your brute force tends to work, but when they already have Sans, we can't risk his safety. Heck, they might off him the first moment you kill someone.'
When she understood what she meant, Jane growled, pulling back. Sure, a rampage worked on zombies and survivor groups, but they never had a hostage under their wings. If they saw it to be too risky to hold Sans, they might just kill him.
"D*mn it," Jane muttered.
"(Um,)" Jeff said, "(I think I have an idea.)"
"What'd he say, pipsqueak?" Jane asked Ben.
"Heyyy," Ben groaned, "Buttttt heggggg... husssss ideeeuhh."

Undyne tightened the rope again, taking a few steps back, both looking guilty and uncertain. It seemed the longer she kept him captive, the more she was starting to regret it. Good. Maybe she'd let him go.
The cause was likely due to the constant evidence of coherence from Sans. He wasn't a mindless zombie, he had proven he is capable of speech and thought. Sans follows orders she's given him, and has shown he is very aware of what her gun could do.
"Okay, um," Undyne said, hugging her arms to her chest. "You're all tied up now, I'm making sure you don't pull any funny business."
Sans blinked a few times. He wasn't going to try anything the moment she pulled out her gun. Death didn't sound fun. Well, dying again, per say. He was already dead.
"I don't... f*cking hell, I don't know what's going on anymore," Undyne said, "I just need Asgore to come here and-"
Almost on cue, the door to their room opened, a large, burly goat monster stepping into the room. "Undyne, you said that you... needed..."
His gaze instantly focused onto Sans, lower jaw dropping from shock. Sans grumbled, shrinking back inside of his chair. If they tried to experiment on him, he was going to start kicking again, gun or not. Perhaps the story of Jane's experiments got through to Sans' soul, but they sounded terrifying.
"Undyne, can you please explain why Sans, who we all know was turned, is tied up to a chair?" Asgore asked.
"Hear me out," Undyne said, "But I think he's not fully infected, or is infected and has the ability to talk. Maybe a super zombie?"
"What?" Asgore asked.
"Yesterday, in the store, I swear he made this weird contraption and ran away from me!" Undyne said, "And he just talked to the guards outside. He can speak! I think."
"You brought a zombie into our base, do you realize how insane that is?" Asgore asked.
Sans lightly twisted his hands that were wrapped in rope. Nope, they were tied firm. He wasn't getting out of these. He couldn't blame her for tying him up, as much as he wanted to. After all, he did try to bite her, while she did kidnap him, he had behaved like a crazed, hungry zombie. She probably was taking precautions since she didn't fully know if he had free will or not.
"It's not like he's been let loose and is infecting everyone!" Undyne said, "And I really think there's something going on. I'm not sure, but-"
"Are you listening to yourself? I know they look like us, and I know some zombies look like our friends, but they aren't! They're mindless cannibals, you saw what happened when we try to help zombies. Sans is proof, he's right there! He may look like he used to, but if you made one slip up bringing him here, this entire base could have been destroyed!"
Great, so this random dude knew him too. Did everyone here know his name? Why?
"Do you really think I'd risk it if I was wrong and let him loose! I made sure to keep him tied up and behind my gun, I'm not stupid, Asgore!" Undyne said, "But I swear, he spoke, and he's shown he has the ability to think and understand me!"
"How?" Asgore said.
Undyne and Asgore both looked at Sans, as if expecting him to suddenly leap out of his chair and preform some tricks like some circus monkey. Sans only blinked.
Sighing, Sans tilted his head to the side in the silence, realizing his only chance of survival was to confirm Undyne's suspicion. "Iffff... I... talghhh... will you... lett meeeee guhhh... oooo?" Sans asked.
"He just actually- what?" Asgore asked.
"Youuuu kidnapppped meeeeggghhhhh hereeeeehh," Sans grumbled, directing his gaze at Undyne. "Nottttt... cooooool."
"Go," Asgore whispered to Undyne, "Go get Alphys."
