Chapter 15 Mia

Armen put his hands on Drake's shoulders. He looked at him, almost like he wanted to say something but he wasn't going to. "What?" Drake asked.

"Nothing," Armen replied. "It's nothing. Anyways, do you all have any idea where you need to be?"

"Nope," we all said. Maybe April could have told us. Or at least me.

"I have no idea either.  Don't even know where to start for you guys. How am I supposed to save you guys from the horrible environments that you live in."

"It's ok, we'll figure this out Armen," I told him. I was trying to help cheer him up.

"We need to somehow get you guys to my place. But how? I can't just take you all home in the middle of the school day."

"Maybe you can trick our parents," Drake said.

"Not likely. I'm sure you guys have smart parents. They wouldn't get tricked."

"Maybe you could at least trick Grayson's parents."

"No, I don't like dealing with drunk people."

Grayson's face went red. He seemed ashamed of his parents. "It's ok," I told him. "It's not your fault."

"I know," he said. "But I feel like I should be responsible for them."

It was strange. He was getting connected to this world. But how? Why? Things were very strange. Stranger than I've ever known.

"Mia!" Drake yelled.

"What?" I asked him.

"I just remembered, the chalice. It was in my room in this dimension. Like it had been there for a long time."

"But that's not possible. It just, it can't be."

"But it's true."

"Guys, we need a plan. Just to keep things understandable until tomorrow." Armen was trying to keep things orderly. He wanted to be organized.

"What is the plan then?" Grayson asked.

"We need figure out what you all need to do until you have to go back home."

"Wait, we have to come back!" Drake yelled.

"Yes," Armen said with a sigh. "Sadly you do."

Drake looked very unhappy. I leaned over and gave him a hug. "It's ok," I whispered. "Armen is going to take care of us." He accepted my hug and squeezed hard. Much harder than I expected.

"Did it ever occur to you that I might want a hug too?" Grayson asked.

I grabbed his arm and pulled him into the hug. I wrapped my arm around him and he wrapped around us. After a few minutes, the hug ended.

"Time for the plan," Armen said. "Let's all meet in my classroom tomorrow morning. It's your guys first class of the day, so that should be too hard."

We all nodded. But what were we going to do for the rest of the day.

"I'll figure out where you need to go for the rest of the day. I'll be right back." Armen left the room, but he was sure to close the door behind him.

"Things are so strange here," I said. "I just want everything to be normal. I just want Armen to get everything taken care of."

"Why do you trust Armen so much?" Grayson asked me. "You hardly even know him. The only times you ever saw him he tried to kill us."

"You guys trust him," I said. "That means he must be trustworthy. And he's the only adult here who will help us. He's one of the only people who understand."

"He's the only one who understands," Drake said.

"Not the only one, April understands."

The door opened and Armen came in the room. "I got the plan ready," he said.

I knew Drake and Grayson were going to ask about April. I just knew it.
