On Wealth Redistribution
Wealth redistribution is not a new idea; on the contrary, it can be found in ancient Rome. Nor is the idea a communist, socialist, democratic, governmental ideology or policy; however, it can be most commonly found in dictatorships. In fact, Julius Ceasar was killed for it. He wanted and potentially did redistribute the land of wealthy, aristocratic politicians to Roman soldiers. It's key to note that at the time land ownership was one of the requirements to be elected to the Roman Senate and Roman Senators wanted to keep their seats. Though the killing of Julius Caesar is portrayed as the killing of a tyrant, I believe the principle and maybe only motive was to prevent wealth redistribution not that I support this idea.
