My whole life.

It feels like my whole life was dedicated to this one goal.

Of course, I have memories from before this life. Not entirely complete memories, but I know they're there. I had friends. Probably a family. I protected the princess.

Now, though? I've completed my purpose. I defeated Ganon... with a bit of help from the Divine Beasts. After he was gone, the four Champions came back. With the royal family nowhere to be found, Mipha, Daruk, Revali, and Urbosa became the new leaders of Hyrule. Many people asked me to become the new king, but it just felt so... wrong. Like I would be replacing Zelda.

It would be the same as saying that she is gone forever, and I can't believe that. I refuse to believe that.

I will find her, some day. I know she's out there somewhere. I don't believe that she's gone. I can't believe that she's gone. But I also know she's strong, and I've done everything I could.

It's time for me to step back. Hyrule can handle itself. I'm done doing everything for everyone.
