When we got to the Japanese base I asked Anthony to set up a connection to L, while I set up my cardboard tower I was building before we left.

"This is Near." I said. "I want to speak to L."

"This is L, what is it you want from us."

"I'm following my goal to arrest Kira and that's why I'm in Japan now. L, I presume you have already contacted Kiyomi Takada for you own investigation."

"That's right in fact I am investigating her myself at the moment." I bet you are, I thought.

"I see. For the time being it's a given that if we want to get any closer to capturing Kira we have to keep a close eye on Kiyomi Takada. I want you to pass on a message. In form her that as of now several SPK members have entered Japan in order to find and arrest Kira." I said whilst putting glue on a piece of card.

"But why do that?" L asked.

"To lure Kira out of hiding. I also want you to relay the following to her, in total there are only 5 active members of the SPK that includes myself. Kira won't be able to resist such an opportunity. Knowing him he won't run instead he will try to kill us before we get to close. That's why I'll beat him at his own game. I'm in Japan as we speak."

"I am in Japan as well."

"Then we will be quiet close to each other. Who knows we might even get the chance to meet face to face."

"I hope so."

"Well that will be something to look forward to."

"Yes."

"And when that time comes we will finish this Kira matter once and for all."

"Defiantly." Said L and then I hung up.

"Seems to me like he just silently accepted your challenge." Said Hope who was now stood at the door.

"Yes, to seems that way. Commander Rester get Halle and Stephan on the phone." He did as I asked. "Alright." I said when I saw them appear. "Lets review what we know." I took out a little lego man I had made in New York." L is Light Yagami and he is also Kira. For now we will call him L Kira." I said writing it down on the little lego man. "There is also another one. Someone who has the note book and is currently using it. We'll call him x Kira. Judging by the pattern of x Kira's killings he has defiantly made the deal and acquired the Shinagami eyes. L Kira and x Kira can't communicate directly. They must be planning to communicate using Kiyomi Takada as a go between. So, given the situation as it now stands we need to get rid of Kira." I said picking up a toy gun. "One is the simple way." I shot both L Kira and x Kira. "We arrange to kill both L Kira and x Kira and confiscate the notebook." I said holding the toy note book up. "However no matter what might happen we will never resort to that."

"Why not?" Anthony asked.

"Thats not the way we do things."

"We Sir?" Asked Anthony.

"Yes, that's right. We kill those two and the murders stop, such expose facto explanation will not be tolerated. It's not the way L and I do things because that would be an insult. Don't forget L entrusted this case to those who came after him."

Who would I choose to be x Kira, out of all the people in the world.

"We must accept Kira's judgement and teach our children that Kira is good."

Kiyomi Takada was chosen because she is a strong supporter of Kira. So, I placed the x Kira on top of a tower of cd's, that means that x Kira must be someone who knew she was a supporter of Kira. Someone who had a close intimate relationship with her before her selection.

"Kira will not forgive any crime no matter how small, from this point on wards you should assume that an crime is punishable by death." I had to think. Everything started moving around me. Who is X Kira? Who? Then everything stopped and I looked at a screen to my right. On it there was a fairly young man with black hair and a stern look on his face.

"I'd like to hear Kira's voice." He was saying. "I want to hear his thoughts once again. We should follow his teaching exactly as Kira ordered. To me it is obviously the quickest path to ever lasting world peace." The scene changed to show the side of the mans face and I saw Takada standing in the background. "I think that it is the upmost importance that young people do all they can to contribute. It is our duty to improve our society." I stood up and stared at the scene listening closely to every word he was saying. "If there are no words or orders from Kira then we have only one choice we need to think for ourselves. We need to consider what Kira has taught us, determine what he wants most and make our own decisions from there." L Kira is Light Yagami, could X Kira be Teru Mikami? Everything seems to fit into place...
