I walked into the main room to see Near just getting off the phone and passing it to Anthony. There was a massive Christmas tree in the room with toys and presents underneath it. Near was sat on the floor hanging things on the tree when I came in. He looked over and when he saw me beckoned me in. I noticed that he looked rather happy so that could only mean he had had a breakthrough in the case. I carefully went over making sure I didn't knock over the stacks of CD's that were everywhere.

"What are you so happy about?" I asked him.

"I believe I may know who X Kira is."

"Really? Who?"

"This guy." Said Anthony handing me a piece of paper. I looked down at it and saw a middle aged man with black hair wearing a pair of glasses.

"He looks rather stern." I said more to myself but Near heard it.

"Yes this guy was on one of Takada's shows just a moment ago. From everything he said he is a clear supporter of Kira. From the information Anthony found on him he seems to have had a strong sense of justice from a very young age."

"So a perfect porn for Kira then." I said reading through the information on the page.

"Yes, so what do you think?" I sighed and handed the paper back to Anthony.

"Honestly, I think you are amazing and truly worthy if being L's successor." I said without really even thinking about what was coming out of my mouth. I looked at Near and saw that his cheeks were red, not even slightly red they were really red. I looked at Anthony and saw that he was looking back from me to Near. He smiled at me before turning around to do some work. "So, I assume you have already made arrangements for Stephan to follow this guy." Near looked up and nodded simply. "So he is following him while Halle is keeping a close eye on Takada and you are watching Kira or the second L's every move. Kira is bound to slip up at some point and even if he doesn't one of this porns will and when they do a member of the SPK will be there to see it all, am I right?"

"Yes that's right." Near said. His face had gone back to normal now.

"And I'm guessing there is nothing really useful I can do." I said sighing and sitting down.

"You can keep talking and getting information out of Mello for us." After Mello phoned I told Near everything that he said about that Misa girl.

"That was one time I can't be in touch with him again. Not to mention that it was on Halle's phone, who currently isn't here." 

"Just don't thinking your useless Hope." Said Anthony coming over and patting me on the head. "Believe me having you around has brought together the team and made this whole thing move a lot quicker. Don't forget you were the one to figure out who the second Kira was."

"Right, thanks Anthony." I said, though instead I knew that finding out who the second Kira was wasn't a big deal since Kira isn't even using her anymore. Then Anthony took his hand away from me and turned to Near. "The connection is set up Sir." Then a huge L came on the scene and Near picked up his headphones.

"L, this is Near. I have a small request. If Mr. Aizawa is there would it be possible for me to speak with him for a moment?"

"Near." Said a voice I recognised from the phone call the other night. "This is Aizawa, what is it?"

"I have a question regarding surveillance for L and Takada's meetings are you recording both video and audio feed in there convocations?"

"Urrr...No. Only an audio feed right now."

"I see. Only wire taps at the moment. How interesting. Thank you very much." Then the scene went black again.

"So it's true then. Kira and X Kira are communicating to each other through  Takada. It would be very easy for them to pass notes to each other." I said thinking put loud.

"Yes, that is most defiantly what they are doing though I hope that by saying that they will think that to and insert a video feed meaning that they wouldn't be able to do this." Said Near. I smiled knowing what was going on.

"And if Kira and X Kira can't communicate X Kira will have to act in his own and he will most likely slip up because he isn't as smart and when that happens Stephan will be watching to confirm the whole thing." Near smiled at me.

"Exactly and I thought you said you weren't helpfully?" 

"Then is seems that Linda could be in more danger than we realise." Said Anthony.

"We knew the risks getting into this. To be blunt what's important is that L starts focusing his attention on Takada. In the mean time we will use the opportunity to investigate Mikami further."

"How are things Stephan?" Asked Anthony who I didn't even know was on the phone.

"Well about Mikami it's strange. It is ridiculously easy to follow him. He's not even trying to hide or anything. He's lived at the same place for the past 4 years. There is nothing unusual about him, he also seems to be totally dedicated to his career as a prosecutor. I'm beginning to think he can't be X Kira."

"No." Said Near firmly. "There is a very high probability that Mikami is X Kira please be very careful. Don't enter his room yet, just keep watch over him for now."

"Go cha." Said Stephan. Then he left.

I was drawing in my room when my phone rang. It was something Anthony got me so that I could keep in touch with Halle and it was also something Mello could contact me personally on thou that hasn't happened. I answered to phone.

"Hey Halle." I said happy to be speaking to her.

"Hi Hope, I can't talk long because I have to go to a dinner meeting between Misa Amane and Miss. Takada."

"Awwww, your even calling her Miss Takada when she isn't around." I heard her laugh a little at the other end. "So this meeting between Misa and Takada, what me to tell Near about it?"

"Yes that would be best."

"Yeah two people that are contented with Kira can't be good. Are you going to be there?"

"Yes Miss Takada asked me to be in the room with them."

"Way to go Halle you really got her trust huh?"

"I guess so well tell the others I will call and let them know what happened at the dinner when I get back toy hotel room afterwards."

"Yeah, okay."

"Bye Hope."

"Bye Halle." I said and then I hung up and went to the main room.

"A meeting between those two." Said Near after I told him what Halle had said in the phone. "That's very interesting."
