A/N: I'm gonna use some quotes from the actual book for this chapter, and possibly in future chapters. I'll place a copyright thingie in the description.

Sky stuck with Hermione and Neville in the entrance hall, feeling a little more comforted yet still very stressed.
The door swung open at once. A tall, black-haired witch in emerald-green robes stood there. She had a very stern face and Sky knew she wasn't someone to mess with.
"Welcome to Hogwarts," said Professor McGonagall. "The start-of-term feast will begin soon, but first; you must be sorted." She went on to explain about the houses, but Sky wasn't really listening.
She heard some students debating on how they'd sort you, yet she already knew and didn't want to speak up. Aldan had told her, it was a magical hat.
Next to her, Hermione was whispering quietly about what spells she'd need, and Sky leaned over and said: "You won't be needing those. It's a magical hat."
Hermione's face twisted in confusion, yet Sky went back to her original spot and tried to get herself to calm down- as was Neville.
Suddenly, around 20 pearly white and partially transparent ghosts emerged from the walls, startling nearly everyone there.
Some of them began talking, including a friendly one who said she hoped they ended up in Hufflepuff.
Professor McGonagall returned, and began to lead the students in a line, into the Great Hall.
She then called out people name by name, and once again Sky wasn;t paying attention. Until Harry Potter's name was called, that is.
Everyone went slient and watched with anticipation- even Sky. Where would the boy with an identical situation as hers end up?
Gryffindor, it seemed.
Hermione and Neville were there too... So when it was Sky's turn, she had no idea where she wanted to go- let alone where she would fit in the most.
Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, Slytherin... Which one?!
The Sorting Hat, when placed upon her head, seemed to be having a tough time as well. "Hmm... Very difficult... I wonder... Ravenclaw?" The Sorting Hat suggested, but didn't say loudly for everyone to hear.
The Sky made up her mind. Gryffindor seemed like a great house- Hermione and Neville, who she was acquaintances with, were there... Along with Harry Potter, who she was desperate to meet.
Not only that, she thought herself brave...
The Sorting Hat heard her thoughts, and chuckled sliently. "GRYFFINDOR!" It yelled, and the red and yellow table applauded loudly.
Sky beamed, running towards Hermione and Neville who were smiling as well.
And as everyone greeted her and congratulated her on being put in the "best" house, she felt at home.
Gryffindor was where she belonged.
