RECAP:

"Skylar, I have to ask you something." Dumbledore said with the faintest smile.

"It's Sky, and..." She hesitated. "What?"

"Would you like to come to my school of witchcraft and wizardry this September?

✰ ✰ ✰

Sky's eyes widened and she took a step back. "A magic school?" She questioned.

Dumbledore nodded. "Of course."

"M-me...?" She pointed at herself and looked at him in shock.

"Yes, I thought we had established that." He grinned.

"I don't know anything about magic, and I'm sure someone else can do it, sir-"

But Dumbledore cut her off. "You just called me sir, Miss Skylar. And the point of going to Hogwarts is to learn. Also, Harry Potter will be going the same year as you. And, I believe... That you have nowhere to go but to live with your grandfather."

"My grandmother told me that my grandfather was dead. Are you even sure he's alive?" Sky said, in doubt.

Dumbledore just chuckled. "I spoke to him this morning, Miss Skylar. Quite the humorous one, Aldan is.

"I-I guess I have to..." Sky nodded. "But you really don't need me in your school, Dumbledore. I don't have any magical- erm, talent."

"Magical talent?!" He laughed. "Of course you have magical talent, you survived the killing curse!"

"Don't talk about that." She grumbled. "So... Where does my grandfather the "Auror" live?"

"Diagon Alley." Dumbledore responded immediately. "A quaint little apartment above Flourish and Blotts, but there'll be room. And Aldan will be glad to fill you in on everything."

Sky just sighed again. She felt excited, and knew that amazing things were going to come out of this, but didn't enjoy Dumbledore's comment on her being "magical". She had never even believed in magic for years!

"I'll tell you one thing." Dumbledore spoke gently, noticing. "You inherited your grandmother's seriousness and maturity."

Sky smirked and rolled her eyes, knowing those words were true. Her mother had even said that herself, one time when Timothy was just born-

Stop thinking about them, Skylar thought. It'll only make things worse.

Sky gaped at the amazing street she stood upon. Yes, it was chaotic. Yes, it felt quaint and almost tiny. But most definitely, it was beautiful in it's own way.

She followed Dumbledore into a small bookstore, to where Sky gazed around excitedly.

She ADORED reading.

She waved back at a cheerful-looking woman in purple robes behind the counter.

Dumbledore turned around to face Sky. "Aldan doesn't know you coming, so i'm afraid it's best to stay down here for now, he can be overbearing."

Sky nodded in understanding. From the rare stories her grandmother told, she could expect him to be that way.

Dumbledore slipped through a door, and up what sounded like old and creaky stairs, and Sky could hear loud talking above.

Sky turned to the woman at the counter. For some reason, she could already feel that she belonged and had no shy feelings like usual- so she decided to speak up.

"Hello." She said, trying to sound as nice and friendly as possible. "I have a feeling we're going to be close, I love books."

The woman smiled sweetly. "That's wonderful, dear. Would you like to borrow one for later on?"

"Sure!" Sky said happily and quickly dashed off to the 'borrow' section.

The woman giggled, and whispered quietly as she went through a stack of returned books: "Kids."
