Sky placed a seventh book she found interesting in her arms, smirking. They were all about magic. If she wanted to catch up with all the other kids in her year who weren't... non-magical, then she'd need to get some info in her brain. As soon as possible, as well. She only had 5 months before term started.

But she jumped and dropped all her books when she heard a door slam directly behind her, the one that led to where her grandfather lived.

Slowly, she turned around, only to be attacked by a hug.

"Oh, I haven't seen you in- well, never!" A happy, masculine voice said.

The "hug" attacker let go, looking into Sky's eyes as they widened.

This was her grandfather- the man who she had never met except only saw in photos.

"I- I-" Sky didn't know what to say. She realized that she could see that her mother looked like him... In a feminine way, of course.

Shaking her head as she wiped tears, she began to gather her books, and her grandfather went to help. He appeared quite old, yet was nimble for his age.

"Thanks." She mumbled, taking the last one in her arms.

"Well then." Her grandfather, Aldan coughed awkwardly, and faced Dumbledore. "Thank you, Albus."

Dumbledore smiled, and waved at us. "See you in Hogwarts, Sky."

Sky shook my head frantically, until he suddenly Dissaparated and she dropped her books.

Aldan chuckled softly, and picked up the rest. "Want to see your new home?"

Sky nodded, taking a few out of his arms so he wouldn't have as much to carry as they went up the old and squeaky stairs.

Sky and Aldan placed their books on a nearby bookshelf, but Sky gasped again when she looked around the house.

There was a broom sweeping on its own, as well as a knife peeling some potatoes. And they weren't the only visibly magic and animate objects in the room, and they were seriously make Sky feeling dizzy.

She sat down on the couch, and watched everything move on its own.

Aldan sat down in a nearby chair, and put his head in his hands. "It's hard, Skylar. I'm sorry."

Sky became concerned. "W-what? Are you okay?"

"No, no I'm not. The stress has an effect on me."

"What stress?" She asked gently.

He sighed, and faced Sky, lifting his head. "You know the whole story of the... Attack, right? How it was practically impossible for you to survive?"

Sky flinched but nodded, wanting him to continue.

"I try hard for Albus, I don't want him worrying, especially when he gave me this to do... It's hard keeping it out of the newspapers. The press, you see, are quite persistent in knowing why you supposedly weren't with their... Bodies. Everyone went mad when Harry Potter brought down the darkest wizard of the time, and lived..."

Sky fighted back tears from his earlier comment. "Why don't you want me in the paper?"

"It shouldn't be a life for you. Constant publicity, it'll be too overwhelming, dear... I won't continue with all the details, but do you agree?"

Sky couldn't deny that she imagined herself being famous before. She was, in fact, nine years old, but now if she thought about it it didn't seem like the best of ideas.

Every wizard who knew about her would expect amazing things from her, a "Muggle"! She couldn't do anything magic, all she did was...

Survive.

Sky choked back a sob,, before composing herself when her grandfather sent her a sad look.

"Skylar... I know you must be emotional now, but I don't think today should be like that. It's your first day in the wizardry world, you should enjoy it!" He tried to liven her up."Okay." She nodded and stood up. "It's Sky. Now, let's go do something fun!" She walked towards the door.

Aldan followed her, and muttered: "Allons-y!" before going outside into Diagon Alley with her.
