Chapter 17
Chapter 17
Left. Jump. Right. Duck. Dodge.
The blood-red spears were coming at me from every direction. I couldn't even run from them. My Soul was paralyzed and my body could only move in one place.
Shield.
That's another thing that I was able to do. Shield myself. Undyne was kind enough to give me one of her spears, so I could shield from the others. And the worst part was that this was all for her amusement. She wasn't even trying to capture me. She was trying to exhaust me.
And it was working.
"Come on Human! Is that all you've got? And Papyrus couldn't cough you? Pathetic."-she said and started walking towards me.
The black glint in her shocking yellow eyes was making me go out of my mind. I didn't know what it was, but it made me feel nervous almost paranoid.
Suddenly Undyne threw a giant spear at me and I just dodged in time. Then my Soul was able to move again and I ran for my life from her.
"Don't you think that you can run away from me. I will find you anywhere, so don't bother hiding."-her voice was echoing throughout the dark corridors.
I had no idea where I was going to, but one thing for sure, was that I wasn't getting anywhere near our little hideout cave.
I was running through garbage piles and water puddles, purple grass fields and endless bridges. I wasn't getting away from Undyne, but she wasn't catching up to me either. I saw monsters getting out of my way and separating their battles as soon as they saw the fish lady behind me. She was the true heroine of this place.
After a while of never ending running, I found myself in a little village. It was empty and I decided to take my chances. I quickly ducked behind one of the buildings and quickly circled around it and ran as fast as I could to another one before Undyne saw me. I repeated a couple of times and she lost me. But she knew that I was there.
"Stupid human. Do you think that you can play hide and seek here? Nyah ha ha."-she laughed? i guess? "This is my waterfall. This is my village. There's nowhere you can hide."
I saw two buildings a little farther away from the other houses and ran to them. From the back I saw that the white houses window was open and it was just enough for me to get in.
As I was resting there I heard rocket flames or something similar that. And then I heard a robotic voice.
"Undyne! Where have you been?"-Mettaton asked.
"I was running after the human."-she answered from far away. Good.
"Did you catch them?"-he asked again.
"No, but they're somewhere in this village."-she replied and I heard her walking around the place. Heavy footsteps were following her.
"Did you get hurt?"-He asked the question a little too human like for a robot.
Undyne was quiet for a minute then answered:
"No I didn't. Maybe just a little tired, but nothing extreme. You shouldn't worry about me."
"But I care about you!"-he said desperately like two voice collided into one.
I could tell that Undyne was shocked since both of their footsteps stopped. Then she exhaled loudly.
"I know Alphys, but we can't worry about that now. I need Mettaton's first face right now to help me find the Human and you watch on Papyrus and Sans or Asgore. I don't want them anywhere around you or Hottland."
Alphys? The doctor Alphys that constructed Mettaton? Why was she talking trough him? And why Undyne doesn't want them in Hottland? Is she protecting her? And what did she mean by Mettaton's first face? I'm not sure about any of the answers from the questions.
Then Alphys again spoke trough Mettaton:
"Papyrus is fighting with monsters near the end of the waterfall cave."
"That's not far away from here and it's too close to you."-Undyne said nervously.
"Asgore is slaughtering monsters in the CORE right now, near the elevator to his castle."-Mettaton continued.
"Good. That bastard is far enough to not get ass kicked from me, for earlier interruption."-she sounded a little interrogated. "What about Sans? He's the smartest and most dangerous."
Alphys/Mettaton didn't reply. Undyne waited but didn't get the answer. My ears were glued to the door of this house. Thank god it was locked.
"So?"-Undyne asked again.
"I.. I.... I lost him. He's nowhere on the cameras. He hasn't been since the little conversation with you and Papyrus. I saw him fight with Napstablook quiet a while ago, but Napstablook, I don't know if intentionally or not, hit the camera and it broke."-she finally said.
"That's not good. If he was fighting with Napstablook that's bad. He's very valuable to us, Sans can't kill him. He would need to use his special attack and he isn't stupid to do it around here."-Undyne sound tired. "Anyway, that reminds me. Napstablook should be here any second now, so I should probably get back to you. And don't forget to get back Mettaton."
"As you wish."-said Mettaton's voice. I heard both of their footsteps walk away.
Did she really left me here? Did she forget or was she feared of Napstablook?
Suddenly, my thoughts were interrupted, because of the chill that I got on my back. It was a weird feeling that I only got once. And then it kicked me in. This is the kind of feeling that I felt when I went trough Napstablook back in the Ruins. I turned around and Napstablook was standing in the middle of the room, his terrifying smile facing me and his killer eyes thirsty for blood.
And there was nobody that could save me now. Flowey and Sans were too far away and had no idea of where I am.
