News of the incident at the Tartarus and a possible new All for One hit the hero society hard, Nighteye knew of what was going to happen but didn't anticipate the world’s reaction to another possible quirk thief. Unfortunately for him, the world has no knowledge of Shigaraki or Nine leaving him and his father the only examples of that power they have seen. Despite this, many people were nervous hearing that there was another person capable of stealing quirks. In countering the world’s fears of a possible new threat emerging from UA itself, many interviews and staff inquiries were held to quell the fears of the people. News channels displayed the battle between Deku and Overhaul on loop showing the world that this new thief of quirks was a hero. This calmed their fears for the time being but there were some that called for his expulsion from UA and imprisonment just for possessing that quirk and this is where All Might put his foot down. On a live broadcast from the main entrance of UA, cameras and reporters all trained on him. 

    “All Might, what is your opinion on this new All for One? The son of your mortal enemy is attending a school meant for heroes. Surely the offspring of such an evil being would be as much a villain as his father was.” A male reporter says, hearing this All Might is angered greatly by what they are saying. 

    “There is no ‘New All for One’ what we do have is the first Deku. A Hero who has the gift to confiscate quirks from villains and bestow them to people who were born without quirks or with quirks that are unable to protect themself with. Midoriya Izuku is my son, biologically the child of All For One but that doesn't dictate who he is. The only reason I am even able to have a possible return to being a hero is because of him. He prevented my untimely death healing the wound that All for One inflicted on me. It was he who prevented the eight precepts of death from not only erasing any quirks of the heroes that attended the raid but also kept anyone from dying at the hands of that villain. Overhaul’s death was not caused by Deku's; it was caused by a pro hero after Midoriya Izuku was shot by the villain holding a concealed weapon. I will say this only Once but knowing the press you will try to twist my words to fit your agendas. Izuku Midoriya will be the one to succeed Me, All Might, as the next symbol of peace.” Hearing this the press goes wild taking hundreds of photographs and shouting questions for All Might. The former number 1 pro hero simply waves to them before the security gates of UA activate as the press tries to force their way onto campus. 

    “Well I do say that when Midoriya Izuku hears that he will be over the moon.” Nezu says walking out from the main building. “I must say they have been rather troublesome lately with the news of Izuku taking the majority of All for One’s quirks at the Tartarus.” 

    “That was going to be news to the public eventually anyways. At least with me calling him My successor, without the literal sense of it with One for All, they will stay out of both my and his hair. The real trouble is what Young Uraraka has him in, she told him not to let him get inside his head, hell even I told him that but it still happened. I'm just pleased that All for One isn't a threat and in all honesty, I was about 1 sentence away from doing the same thing.” All Might explains as the two heroes walk back to the offices, “Though to be assured, take down any publications that try to twist what I say. I'm expecting at least one of them to say.”    

    “Already taking down 2 of them. And done. Ugh, If I had it my way I would have all those villain sympathising publications bureaus arrested.” Nezu says with a sigh deleting a publication off the internet that warped All Might’s speech into saying that Izuku was the successor of All for One. 

Meanwhile.

    “Are you going to let him get in your head again?” Ochako asks with her arms folded, tapping her foot repeatedly on the floor. Izuku is sitting on his knees, with his hands on his knees, looking on the floor dejectedly. 

    “No ma’am.” He responds before looking up at her through his big green eyes.

    “Daddy in twouble.” Eri says holding onto Ochako’s pant leg and peering out from the side of her leg. 

    “Well, I can't be too mad at you since he did threaten Eri after all. You don't have to sleep on the couch tonight.” Ochako says causing Izuku to start to light up. “However, before you do anything. Figure out what quirks you took from him.” Ochako replies, when Izuku stands up she hugs him tightly. 

    “I know which ones he stole and since the incident with Overhaul I'm starting to be able to use them more easily than when I first got it. I took all the ones he used at Kamino except for his All for One and a different quirk but I don't know what that one was.” Izuku says showing off the quirks he has. 

    “After seeing what he was capable of, seeing someone as docile as you holding it is an interesting experience.” Momo says getting the attention of the two parents. 

    “I didn't know if that was the power of his quirk or was a different quirk all together. It felt like we were staring into the eyes of the devil himself when we went to rescue Bakugou.” Todoroki says shuddering at the memory. 

    “That's the All for One quirk itself. I can do the same thing too.” Izuku says with Ochako tapping his shoulder and shaking her head. 

    “I don't think you should do that, save it for villains or other bad guys.” Ochako says with Izuku nodding, he turns to Eri and picks her up. 

    “So Snowangel, what do you want for lunch today?” he asks, putting her on his shoulders, Eri places her small hands on his forehead, grabbing the horn that Izuku also has on the right side of his head. 

    “Nachos.” She replies pointing to the plate of tortilla chips Sero, Kaminari and Kirishima are eating from while watching television. 

    “I think those might be a bit spicy Eri, but we can make them so that they aren't. Wanna help me?” He asks looking up at the little girl on his shoulders. 

    “Yeah!” She exclaims smiling brightly. 

    “Okay!” Izuku cheers before walking off to the kitchen. 

    “Hey guys? Are you seeing this?” Kirishima asks, pointing to the TV. 

    “Today at with an interview with All Might revolving around the ramifications a new All for One could pose. UA has a student capable of stealing quirks and having an unknown limit to the quirks he can take. That being said the former number one hero who has made no actions as to returning to the hero scene as of yet had this to say when asked about the boy who possesses another All for One.” A news anchor says facing the camera with it showing All Might standing in front of the gates of UA and speaking towards the crowd of press and paparazzi. 

    “All Might, what is your opinion on this new All for One? The son of your mortal enemy is attending a school meant for heroes. Surely the offspring of such an evil being would be as much a villain as his father was.” A voice from behind a camera asks holding a microphone out towards the former pro. 

    “There is no ‘New All for One’ what we do have is the first Deku. A Hero who has the gift to confiscate quirks from villains and bestow them to people who were born without quirks or with quirks that are unable to protect themself with.” All Might says before the news cast shows a different segment of the  interview. “I will say this only Once; Izuku Midoriya will be the one to succeed Me, All Might, as the next symbol of peace.” 

    “Woah… All Might has that much faith in Midoriya.” Kirishima says as the first one to break the silence in the room.

    “You may not be his secret love child but he's definitely your dad.” Todoroki says looking back at Deku and Eri, Eri holding a bag of flour to make tortillas and Deku wearing a “Kiss the cook” apron that Ochako had given him. 

    “Congrats Deku, the number one hero just named you as his successor on live television.” Katsuki says studying the expression on Deku’s face.

    “I… I know.” is the only thing he manages to say hearing this, feeling a sense of accomplishment, pride and fear. Now the entire world is looking to him to succeed All Might and become the new symbol of peace. 

Somewhere in Tokyo: 

    A young boy walks home from school with his head down, tears streaming from his eyes from the horrid day he had experienced. A diagnosis of quirklessness had turned his once friends into his tormentors. His parents greet the brown haired boy as he enters their home, both giving each other a solemn gase seeing their son crying. The young boy rushes up to his room wiping the tears from his eyes and dressing his wounds from the beatings the other kids did to him. His television creating white noise but something catches his attention. A single line from All Might rang in the air, his eyes widen and the tears stop instantly. “A Hero who has the gift to confiscate quirks from villains and bestow them to people who were born without quirks.” This line causes the boy to turn and look at his calendar. A date later that month circled several times in blue ink. The UA Cultural Festival. This was his chance to get a quirk, it was something he hadnt experienced in a long time. The feeling of Hope.
