Dream Flashback
Jenni's POV

I walked down to the basement with a plate of  food, utensils, and a cup in my hands. Using my night vision I could see a girl sobbing in the dark room.

"Hello," I said, "Your name is Cinder right?"

The girl looked up at me and nodded even though she looked terrified. Her face and hands were grimy, her hair and was tangled and looked like it hadn't been washed in a while and her face was blotchy from crying.

"I'm Jennifer," I said smiling, "have you eaten yet?"

Cinder shook her head and I set the food and cup in front of her.

"Oh no I can't," Cinder said, speaking the first words I'd ever heard her say, "Mr. Ironwood said that if I don't behave then I don't eat."

"Well I'm not gonna let you starve. C'mon please...."

Slowly Cinder picked the fork up and scarfed the food down before draining the glass in a single gulp.

I giggled, "Well you were hungry."

Cinder looked embarrassed and tried to move away from me.

"Oh no. I'm sorry I didn't mean to embarrass you," I said smiling.

Cinder looked up at me again and screamed.

"What what is it?!" I said looking alarmed.

Cinder pointed at my mouth and I sighed, "yeah I'm a Faunus. A wolf Faunus to be exact."

"O-oh," Cinder stuttered, "Sorry I screamed."

"It's alright it happens all the time actually."

I could tell she was still upset so I decided to change the subject.

"So Cinder how did you end up here?"

Cinder began crying again.

"Oh! If it's to much to talk about."

"No it's fine....I should tell you it's not like I'm ever going home again," Cinder sobbed. "I'm from Oniyouri. A village in Mistral. Recently my village was attacked by a mysterious group of people and my parents died. I tried to run away but a man named Sinibar captured me. He-he sold me like I was an animal to your father."

"Cinder I'm so sorry," I said reaching over to give the girl a hug.

Cinder tensed up in my embrace but eventually she broke down in my arms sobbing loudly as she clung to me.

I gently rubbed her back and tried to calm her down, telling her everything would be ok.

"Cinder I promise I'll get you out of here. I'll get you home to Mistral."

"How are you gonna do that?!" She sobbed.

"I-I don't know but I promise I will."

Cinder smiled and continued to hug me.

"JENNIFER!!" My father yelled from behind me.

I quickly turned around to face him and I could feel Cinder shudder behind me.

"What are you doing down here?! I told you that you may not speak to her!" my father yelled.

"She's hungry and she's terrified! How can you not see that?!" I yelled back at him.

"The only thing I see," said my father, "is my daughter fraternizing with a servant girl!"

I snarled showing my fangs and my yellow eyes glowed, "she's a human being and deserves to be treated as such!" 

My father looked enraged and I tightly held Cinder and tried to hide her from my father.

My father glared at me, "Jennifer go upstairs. We will talk about this later."

"No father!" I yelled, "I won't let you hurt her!"

"She's mine and I can do what I want with her!"

I snarled even louder and I felt cinder touch my arm.

"It's ok Jennifer," Cinder said quietly, "go upstairs. I'll be alright."

I turned to look at her and I saw that she looked terrified.

"I don't want to leave you," I said.

Cinder hugged me again and whispered in my ear, "I'll be ok. I don't want you to get in more trouble."

I sadly nodded and pushed past my father as I went upstairs. As soon I was out of sight I heard my father yelling, then two loud thuds, and then Cinder crying. It broke my heart but I didn't know what to do. I had no idea and it terrified me.

I then felt someone roughly shake me jostling me from my thoughts. 

I opened my eyes and saw Banesaw standing over me, I screamed and fell out of bed.

"Get up Jenni!" He yelled, "we aren't paying you to lounge around all day."

"You're not paying me at all," I yawned.

Banewaw thought for a minute then growled, "whatever just get up!!" He then proceeded to storm out of my tent.

I shook my head and yawned loudly.

"I guess it was all a bad dream," I said.

I looked down and sighed. I had succeeded in getting Cinder out of my house. I can just only hope that she made it to Mistral safely.
