As the bell for my last class of the day rang, I rushed past the sea of bodies filing out to meet Alice and Lil at our usual meet up spot at the fountain. "Hey guys." I said as i approached them.  

  "You'll never guess what happened in drama!" Alice exclaimed as we started to walk home. 

  Alice had audition for the school play Snow White two days before the first day of school. Lilac and I exchanged glances and rolled our eyes at the obvious upcoming announcement. Alice had dyed her forever changing hair back to its natural hair color which is a shiny black and got a bob cut to "fit the part".

   "What?" Lil and I both shouted after a moment of her going silent realizing she was waiting for a response 

  She paused for dramatic effect before letting out an excited squeal. "I got the lead in Snow White! Guess who got the male lead!"

  "That's not surprising you get the lead in every school play.  We knew you had that role in the bag!" I congratulated her. Alice is one of those very dedicated theater geek and a very popular one at that, at least more popular than the rest of them. She wants to be on Broadway when she's older, so she does every musical, play and skit that you could think of in school and in the state of New York.

  "Yea, yea, but come on, guess who got male lead!" Alice shrieked again. Lilac and I put on our thinking face and started to call out random guy names that we knew from drama. 

  "You guys are ridiculous." Alice stated when Lil called out Billy who is the weirdest drama geek in our grade. "It's wait for it...Ryan!" 

   Ryan was the most popular guy in our grade not to mention how hot he is, not only is he a great actor like Alice, he also is a great basketball player and track star. Alice has been crushing on him ever since 7th grade when she first took a liking to drama. Alice and Ryan are what you can call drama buddies because they only ever talk to each in drama class and never outside of it unless they have to rehearse for an upcoming play. 

    "Wait, so you're actually going to get to actually kiss him?" Lil asked finally processing what Alice said. 

  "Well duh!"  

  As we started to approach Lilac's house, I started to think to myself how lucky I was to have my two best friends live so close to me. We said bye to Lilac as she went into her house and I was debating whether or not to tell Alice about Tristan. I hadn't stopped thinking about him ever since the incident. Which is so weird since I just met him. 

  I finally came to my senses knowing that she's probably going to find out tomorrow at school anyways with the way gossip travels and I'm pretty sure me nearly blowing up the classroom will get around. "I think I'm attracted to the new boy."  

  Alice stopped walking to turned and looked at me "You mean you find him cute, right?" She asked in shock.

  "No, I mean attracted, as in I may like him."

  "Scarlet, you just met him. Like literally today." 

  "I know, but he just caught my attention and you know that rarely happens. There's a energy I sense from him that's different." I told her. 

   The last time a boy has ever caught my eye was in 7th grade and it was because he pulled his pants down right in front of me.  I'm not saying I'm hard to get or super picky but I boys and dating aren't a big deal to me so it must mean something if Tristan caught my eye just by smiling at me.

  "Wow, sounds like your in deep Scar."  

  "I know and I made a complete fool out of my self in lab." I pouted. 

   "You mean by blowing up your classroom?" 

  I stopped dead in my tracks. What the fuck, it spread that fast.

  "I DIDN'T BLOW UP THE CLASSROOM! I just blew up my beaker." I corrected her defensively. 

  "Same thing. How did you even manage to do that?"

  "Well, him and I we're partners and after we set everything up I took a glance at him and he was staring at me with his sexy golden eyes and so I got a bit nervous and I asked him what caught his eyes, you know in like a playful way, and he said 'you' so confidently in this deep husky voice. Then my heart started to beat out my chest and BOOM! The beaker exploded and he started to scold me about not putting the beaker at the right temperature, but I did and it wasn't like I could tell him about my new uncontrollable magic!" 

  "Wow, that's actually funny as hell, but I'm going to help you." Lilac laughed as we approached our houses which is right next to each other. I looked at her questionably and asked how. "I'm going to give you lessons on how to control your powers dummy." She yelled out as she ran up to the front door of her house.

I hope you like this chapter I know its short and kinda boring but i need it to start the next chapter . I know it took so long to post but I'm so busy with school right now and I'm feeling stressed already.

[Edited 11/04/2020] Hey y'all! Guys, I am so sorry for the trash ass writing in this story lol I was 12 when I started this and it needs MAJOR editing. I hope you guys enjoy this new and improved version of the chapter. It's still quiet short and I actually cut out a lot of unnecessary parts that sounded childish or just didn't make sense so it's actually a bit shorter, but i still hope you guys enjoy it!
