*Scarlet POV*

I was squash in between Alice and Emily and tried to get up as quietly and slowly as I can without waking them up. Once I finally got out of bed I checked the new alarm clock my mom got me for the time and saw it was 8:30. Panic ran through me and I was so ready to wake up Alice and Lilac, but I remembered it was Saturday before actually waking them up.

I went into my bathroom and splashed cold water on my face and brushed my teeth before looking in the mirror and putting my hair up in a messy bun. I stared at my deep purple eyes, lowkey relieved that I didn't have to mask them today since no one important would be seeing me. Afterwards I went downstairs and checked for anything to eat. After 20 minutes of failing to find food,I went back upstairs to a still sleeping Alice and Lilac and wrote a note saying I was going to the market in case they wake up before I return.

I walked down the 2 blocks to the supermarket and went straight to the cereal isle and I searched for the Cinnamon Toast Crunch box. I sighed when I realized it was on the top shelf. It's like they forgot bout all the 5'3 people in the world and everyone shorter then that. I tried to stand on my tippy toes and grab it but I failed so I stood on the ledge of the bottom shelf and reached up for it. Still failed.

"Let me get that for you." I got down and turned my head to see who it was and with just my luck it was Tristan. He gave me the what I now call the "melting smiling" because every time I see it it makes me melt inside, and reached up and grabbed the box of Cinnamon Toast Crunch and handed it to me. I could feel my face turn beet red and I gave him a small smile as I grabbed the box.

"Thank you" I looked down at the ground as I realized what I was wearing. I was wearing a blue tank top with a black hollister sweater and black aerocombie sweat pants.

'No problem," He said making eye contact with me. His eyebrows furrowed in confusion as he stared into my eyes which made me uncomfortable and give him a weird look in return. "Your eyes," he said after a while, realizing that I was uncomfortable.

"What?" I questioned confused.

"Your eyes. They're purple. Aren't they blue-green?" He questioned back confused.

Oh fuck! I didn't mask my eyes. What do I say? Holy fuck, what if he finds out? "Oh. Uhm. I..I'm wearing contacts. You know like to change it up here and there." I faked laughed nervously hoping he brought that pathetic lie.

"I know what you mean," he chuckled and smiled at me", well I'll see you around. And by the way purple looks good." My already unsteady heart skipped a beat as he turned on his heel and proceeded to walk away from me. I debated in my mind what to say to get him to stay longer before finally settling on something.

"Do you live around here?" I called after him thinking he must live around here if he goes to this market and only the locals come to this market, since there is like multiple ones every like 10 blocks.

'Yea, I live 2 blocks away,"My eyes widen in disbelif and I finally lifted my head and looked up at him.

"Really? I do to!" I told him. A shocked smile crept up on his face and he walked back towards me.

"In that case you want to walk back with me" He ask him once he was right in front of me.

"I don't see why not." I answered him with a smile on my face. We walked to the check out area and checked out in awkward silence not knowing what to say.

"Its really nice out here" He said as we walked out staring up at the sky. I looked at him and busted out laughing knowing this was some stupid way to start a conversation. He looked down at me with a confused look on his face which only made me laugh even more. "Whats so funny?"

"You." I told him.

"How?" He asked

"'Its really nice out here',"I said in my guy voice mimicking him."I mean that's such in obvious conversation starter for awkward moments."

He chuckled to himself."I guess it is but it did start a conversation" He said and flashed me the melting smiling.

"'I guess it did.So how do you like Rigdewood so far" I asked him.

He shrugged."It's pretty good when the guys aren't pranking me or when girls aren't trying to feel up on me."

I started to laugh again."Yeah they're some desperate girls at our school. Me and my friends call them the Deluts."At that he bursted out laughing.

"What the hell is the Deluts?"

"Its a combination of desperate and slut. Deluts."I told him.

"Wow very creative,"He congratulated me.

"So are you thinking about trying out for the football team," I asked with curiosity, remembering about how Ricky had extended an invite to him to tryout, and he shrugged.

"Maybe. " He said casually.

"Well you should. Football is kind of a big deal in our school and when I say big deal I mean huge deal. We're the best in the state." I informed him.

"Good to know. I'll think about it if that means I'll get to see you cheering me on," he flirted.

I could already tell his words were making my cheeks turn pink. I looked at the ground as a childish smile crept onto my face. "Well, I am a fan of football and I do have school spirit," I attempted to flirt back looking up him minimalizing the little girl cheesy smile threatening to make an appearance.

I stopped once we got in front of my house and turned to face him."Well this is my stop. Where is your house"

He frowned a little and pointed to the last house on the other side of the street."The house at the end of the block"

"Cool. So I'll see you around" I said and waved at him as I opened my door. He nodded his head and waved back at me with a small smile. I shut the door and leaned my forehead on it as a huge smile crept up on my face.

"So I see someone had a good time cereal shopping," I jumped and turned around to see a smilng Alice and Lilac.

"Oh shut up"I said as I rolled my eyes and went to the kitchen.

*Tristan POV*

My face felt like it was about to fall by the time I got home because of how hard I was smiling. Who knew a girl could make me smile this hard. I went into the kitchen and plugged in the waffle maker. I took out the waffle batter from the shopping bag and poured it into the maker and closed the lid.

I went to the fridge and grabbed a bottle of orange juice from the fridge and turned on the mini flat-screen TV on the island. Once I heard the waffle maker go off I opened the lid,took out the waffle and sat down in one of the island chairs.

"Hey loser," Thaila greeted me as she grabbed a bottle of orange juice from the fridge.

"Hi Thaily"I retorted back to her knowing she hates that nickname. She flashed me a scowl while pouring herself cereal and I gave her a innocent grin and turned my attention back to the TV. I flipped the channel to ESPN knowing they have a football game on. Might as well catch up and learn the rules and plays if I'm going to be trying out.

*3 hours later*

The game finally ended and I picked up on a few things and also decided that the Giants were my favorite team. I glanced at the clock and saw it was noon. I got up and went to the sink to wash my plate when I hear my phone go off. I picked up the phone and saw Ricky's name flash across the screen. I stared at it in confusion and remembered that I gave Ricky my number before we left school.

"Whats up man" he shouted into the phone as soon as I answered. I pulled the phone away from my ear because it was so loud on the other end.

"Nothing" I answered him. I heard people shouting in the backround and wondered where he was at.

"So I'm throwing a back to school party later on and you gotta be there dude. It's going to be epic" He informed me excitedly.

"Um...sure yea I'll come" I told him.

"Great. You better be here. 8 o'clock. I'll text you the address" he shouted into the phone and hung up.I just stared at the phone and rubbed my ears. Right when I was about to put my phone down I felt it vibrate in my hands signaling I had a text and I figured it was Ricky texting me the address to his house and decided to take a nap before the party.

*Scarlet POV*

7:30

Ever since Alice got that text from Ryan inviteing us to Ricky's party Alice has been super happy. We decided to got to the mall to get on outfit for the party and came back with about 10 bags. Each. I got out the shower and dried my self off. I went to my bed and put on the outfit I picked out earlier.

I looked at the hole in my wall by my bed that my mom surprisingly didn't see yet and wondered if there was a spell to fix it. I snapped my fingers and felt the cool leather against my palm. I flipped through it, for what felt like forever until I finally found a spell to fix and repair things and thanked the fairies it was a level 1 spell which meant it was easy.

I stood in front of the object and waved my face counter clockwise in front of it and said "fituerax". The hole morphed back together until it looked brand new and I gave myself a proud pat on the back.

I blow dried my hair and decided to wear it out to its full length, which is my mid back, and put on mascara with a thin winged eye and ruby red lip gloss. I double checked in the mirror to make sure my eye color was masked to blue-green. Never been one to put on a lot of make up. Once they all texted me that they were ready, I told my mom we were leaving and grabbed my mom's car keys and met Alice and Lil who were already waiting at my car. As we all got in, I started to get excited and couldnt help but hope that Tristan was going to be there.

*Tristan POV*

8:00

I woke up late from my nap and quickly hopped into the shower knowing I was going to be late. Once I got out, I went to my closet and pulled out a fitted navy blue v-neck and a pair of black jeans and towel dried my hair and ruffled the front over to one side. I jogged down the stairs and put my sneakers on and grabbed my leather jacket. I told my mom I was going out and kissed her on the head before taking my car keys. The minute I started my car, I looked toward Scarlet's driveway and saw that no car was there, I couldn't help but wonder if she would be there. I put the car into reverse and backed out the drive way. Once I got out of the drive way I put the car into drive and sped off down the road anxious to find out.

So what you think about the chapter? Most importantly what do you think is going to happen at the party?There is going to be some pretty exciting things thats gunna happen I can tell you that. Anyywayys, I wanted to say sorry I didnt update this sooner but I mean come on its christmas break of course Im going to be lazy and also how was everyones christmas?!?!

I dont know if anybody notice but I kind of work on my stories in a pattern like once I finish uploading one story I work on the other story. So I'm going to go work on A Change In Heart so yea and check it out.Wellll,bye now.
