With that out of the way,I can lighten up the narrative.
Spells are always backed up by intent-basically,a goal or intention.Often spells are used for:
Prosperity and abundance
Love and friendship
Academics and studies
Protection and warding
Glamours and beauty
Dreams and wishes
Divination and psychic ability
Cleansing and banishing
And on a darker note:
Hexes,curses,and jinxes
A spell can be a potion,a jar spell,charm bags,or a ritual of sorts.It can even be mentally done or visualised as you wish.However,your comfort and wellbeing is the utmost important thing in your workings.
Here I will write an example spell.

"Stay With Me"Friendship Spell*
two long stemmed flowers
(I used chrysanthemum)
rose buds and rose quartz for love
basil flowers and jade for friendship
anise for returned love and care
tie the flowers together by the stems and say,"For days,moons and years beyond,preserve and nurture this loving bond,heed my spell and stay with me,as I will it so mote it be."
Together,visualise your future together.Dry the flowers and crush them with the herbs.Each keep a pouch with him the mix and,if consenting,each other's taglocks.
As you can see from the example,there are spell ingredients by correspondence,chants to raise and add energy,visualisation,and then a final product to continue the spell.Some spells,like potions and other ingestible items do not have a final product for you to keep.However,things like wards are best kept on the self,which is why I make lots of protective jar spells.
Often times your first spell will be written by someone else because you aren't confident.That is totally fine and you're still a validly swag witch.But writing your own spell will add your own energy to it and help you develop.
Your spell title doesn't have to be catchy,my first and most successful ward charm was literally called the blue bag.The chant doesn't have to rhyme,feels right and fits your aesthetic?Good to go.Don't actually have an aesthetic but trying your best?Good to go.Your ingredients aren't home grown but you've put in all the intent you can?Good to go.
Of course,you would be drawn to the cutesy green witch woodland aesthetic and the occult darkness with gothic lettering aesthetic,but always remember that things in your craft can't be all for visually attractive purposes.Research the properties and correspondences of your favourite colours and simply read up to make sure none of your items are going to waste.
Now,a quick questions and answers thing.
What if my first spell fails?
Well,don't we all fear this?The spell could go wrong (lets say the love spell draws in a bad relationship)or backfire(make you lose a good relationship)or just not work at all (square one guys).Sometimes the spell comes too late or is too weak or works a little too much.Or just for why happen.But it's okay.Unless it's a heavy curse that flips out on you,you're good to go.But really,I don't suggest a curse be your first spell,though you do you.Just stay safe my dude,once you've gotten used to casting spells you can hex all you want.Nothing against hexes since I hex lots but look,heavy duty curses are some pretty dangerous things to work with for the first time.
I feel cursed!What do I do?
Now,why do you feel this way?Not every bad day is a hex or we witches would be might busy and all the pepper in the market would be gone.First,is it an old problem,new one,or a worsened issue?If the problem is an old one most likely it's just paranoia.Next,has anyone threatened to curse you,obtained your taglocks,or been angered by you?If no,most likely no.Lastly,is there anyone you know who is also a practitioner?If also no,most likely you have nothing to worry about.Bad luck and karma are things too.
If you still don't feel safe you can do a hex reversal,hex removal,or just some self care to calm down and feel better.
My divination isn't accurate!Why?
First of all,sometimes even tarot and pendulums get it wrong.Sometimes it's your phrasing of the question,your mood or the wrong interpretation.Some things like health issues and other serious work can't be decided upoun by magic.Of course things work better the more you practise,but there's always room for error.Take everything with a pinch of salt-not literally.

Okay,this is actually less weird than it sounds.This actually happens.And sometimes explanations don't help.When they do things get easier though.The broom closet isn't going to hold you forever.Work in secret if you have to but don't let your practise take up an unhealthy amount of time or make you less social or whatever.:p
