The group caught their breath for another ten minutes before Corin put Ronan back into the case. But with the two Goldstein sister's now joining the group, it was Tina who knew the informant.

Which allowed her to lead the way for the group, yet the back alley that was covered with bins, crates and other discarded objects caused Corin to grimace.

But the distrust didn't last long as Tina located a set of steps leading to a basement apartment, which she motioned the group to go down to the steps. However the place where the doorway was meant to be was bricked up.

Yet it featured a poster of simpering debutante in an evening dress, it was rather pretty artwork, but in the sense of what Corin thought of a Auor's informant, she supposed the fellow would pick a discrete bar to house their operation.

Tina and Queenie stand in front of this poster. They turn to one another and in pure unison, raise their wands. As they do so, their work clothes sudden transform into stunning flapper party dresses.

Corin's mouth fell open, it was the first time to see something so spunk about the era she was in. Their attire was flashy and almost naughtyโ€”How on earth did the world turn more conservative from sprouting from this?

"Oh! Let me." Queenie cheered, her wand doing the same motion but now to Corin's form. Of course the Ravenclaw had managed a Yule and Halloween ball, but this was hardly the same.

Her pants had been warped away, as had her long trench coat and blouseโ€”Instead it morphed into an elegant blue bedazzled quarter cut gown.

She was at least thankful at the modesty of her chest, the dress had a secure halter top, and as Corin's head turned down to her legs. She could see the frill at the end, it was comfortable and beautiful.

It earned Queenie an accepting smile from the young witch. However when Corin looked up to Newt, she turned once again embarrassed about what's she was wearing.

Especially when he couldn't look away with how close they were.

"You look gorgeous." Queenie whispered, and sweet Merlin Newt couldn't believe the smile that graced the group. It was surely contagious, and Jacob didn't hide his attraction to the witch at Corin's side.

Tina steps towards the poster and slowly raises her hand. As she does this move, the eyes of the debutante move upwards, following her every move. She then knocks slowly on the door four times.

Corin was so blindsided by the action and pair of eyes through a peep hole, that she missed Newt's sudden haste in adding a bow tie to his get up.

She followed behind the women, her eyes bulging at the sight of everythingโ€”But more importantly, the wanted sign.

GELLERT GRINDELWALD: WANTED FOR NO-MAJ SLAYING IN EUROPE

The Ravenclaw's eyes lingered on it much to long, causing Newt to lean in behind her. "You're alright?" He questioned, and she smiled up to him. "I'm alright...Bars aren't usually my scene." She mumbled, continuing forward. But mostly she was hypnotized by the beautiful sound of singing goblin.

The only ones she's ever met was at Gringotts when she'd go with her parents or grandfather on the off occasion. While Jacob and Queenie had gone off a different way off towards the bar, she found herself sitting at a table with Newt and Tina. An awkward silence filling them.

Corin could tell that Newt was trying to study the funky characters in the room, which prompted her to do the same. Some with hooded, others heavily scarredโ€”Making her wonder what they would normally be up to outside the bar.

"I've arrested half of the people in here..." Corin rose a brow, if she arrested half of them did that mean that had a good paycheck to pay the bail or for the best lawyer?

There was certainly a bit of suspicion to follow her statement.

"You can tell me to mind my own business...But I saw something in that death potion back there. I saw youโ€”huggingโ€”that second Salem boy." Newt spoke to the table, though it was obviously direct to Tina.

"His name's Credence. His mother beats him. She beats all those kids she adopted, but she seems to hate him the most." Tina explained, which left either of them with a bit of context.

But Newt pushed further. "And she was the No-Maj you attacked?" Tina nodded, starting to feel the guilt of the siatuion. Corin could tell that the Auror simply felt strong willed and protective, which is a perfect trait to have in that field.

The system here was simply bias to outdated means. Or outdated in Corin's time.

"That's how I lost my job. I went for her in front of a meeting of her crazy followersโ€”They all had to be Obligated. It was a big scandal." With the truth out, Tina looked rather upliftedโ€”She hardly had anyone to speak about it to, all the people she associated with or was friends with were Aurors.

The pool only dimmed when Queenie worked in the ministry as well, and everyone turned their noses up at the Goldstein sisters. As if they were a bad smell.

"I don't think she has follower, I think she's using the children she's adopted, as you said...If she beats them, I really doubt they know what they're protesting. Muggles have a rather limited imagination." Wether it was because Tina hardly heard Corin speak much more than an offered bit of tea or inflicting her rage off towards Graves. She had to admit that the young witch surely had a very opinionated voice when it came down to it.

Tina had caught sight of Queenie at the other end of the room, and her eyes connected off to Gnarlak, who was just emerging from the back depths of the speakeasy.

Corin always thought Goblins were dressed for the occasion, and the time difference didn't fault that assumption. But in other words, he appeared to be the same as a Mafia boss of some sort.

It didn't take long for Gnarlak to recognize there were a few newbies in the bar, but then again Corin didn't know if this was his establishment or not. Isn't that how things like that worked?

Gnarlak sits himself at the end of their table, and she had to fight back a shiver at the pure confidence and dangerous aura that came with the fellow.

And of course a house-elf was all to eager to give the boss man a drink.

"Soโ€”You're the guy with the case full of monsters, huh?" He says with a smirk, making Corin's eyes go wide. How in the hell did he know?!

"News travels fast..." He mumbled slightly under his breath, but then his head titled up. Ready to speak to the Goblin properly. "I was hoping you'd be able to tell me if there have been any sightings. Tracks. That sort of thing."

"You've got a big price on your head, Mr.Scamander. Why should I help you instead of turnin' you in?" Newt heard Corin gulp, their eyes met for a moment.

Newt met his fair share of traders, he had to bargain his way to secure the Occamy eggshells. He knew what Gnarklak was after, Tina warned him of it earlier.

"I take it I'll have to make it worth your while?" He questioned, and that made the Goblin quiet pleased. "Hmmโ€”Let's consider it a cover charge."

With that being said, Newt pulled out a couple of Galleons and slides them across the table towards Gnarlak, who barely looked up. "MACUSA's offerin' more'n that." Corin could feel the weight of her purse, she had plenty of funds.

The times caused inflation, and what would cost little in this time cost triple or more in her time.

Though she didn't know how much Newt's Galleons translated from her to now. But it wasn't enough to satisfy the bloke's zipped lips. So Newt followed up with a beautiful metal instrument, and merlin was Corin in awe.

"Lunascope? I got five." Alright bucko, why would you need more than one?!

It was clear that Newt was trying to find something to intrigue the dealer, it wasn't that he was a collector. Or perhaps he was, but in the sense of wanting to resell it later.

So Newt rummaged through his coat pocket and retrieved a frozen egg, one that was glowing and held the color of a ruby.

"Frozen Ashwinder egg..." Newt said, placing it onto the table. And the bloke had finally caught interest, however he caught sight of something much more valuable.

"โ€”Wait a minuteโ€”that's a bowtruckle, right?" Pickette must've caught wind that he was being discussed and quickly retreated back into the pocket he was housed in, while Newt put a hand protectively over him.

"No."

"Ah, come on, that's bowtrickleโ€”They pick locksโ€”am I right?" The question reigned true as Pickette had indeed gotten both Newt and Corin out of their binds just an hour or so ago.

"You're not having him." And that had been Newt's fatal mistake, showing protectiveness over something of value. It was the trick of the trade, not that Corin would know anything of the sort though.

She'd be coughing up all her words, she was surprised that Newt was being vocally defensive if anything.

"Well, good luck gettin' back alive, Mr.Scamander, what with the whole of MACUSA on your back." Gnarlak says, dismissing himself to start walking off to some other business.

"All right." Corin's heads ruined instantly, she couldn't believe it. "Newt..." She hissed, but he was already in the mists of extracting Pickett from his pocket.

The little green creature attempt to cling onto his friend's hand, madlyโ€”desperately clicking and whining.

"Pickett..." Newt said in the same sort of agony as his little creature. But that didn't stop him from slowly handing over Pickett to Gnarlak.

Much like a child, Pickett reaches his little arms forward, begging Newt to take him back. But alas, Newt is far too embarrassed to look at him.

"Ah yeah... Somethin' invisible's been weakin' havoc around fifth avenue. You may wanna check out Macy's department store. Might help with what you're looking for." What the hell would Dougal want in a department store?

"Right...One last thing. There's a Mr.Graves who works at MACUSAโ€”I was wondering what you knew of his background." Tina was surprised Newt had asked her informant such a question, and by the stare he was receiving from Gnarlak, it seemed as though he was either right on the target or hitting the limitations on what this Goblin could talk about.

"You ask too many questions, Mr.Scamander. That can get you killed." Gnarlak said in almost a scolding tone, but something about his smile caused Corin's fists to curl.

Or perhaps it was the way he was holding Pickett that really set her off.

However, in a moment's notice, A house-elf carrying a crate fill of bottles had sudden called out in warningโ€” "MACUSA ARE COMING!" The entire room filled with sounds of other witches, wizards and other varies beings Disapparating before the Auror's could properly show up.

"You tipped them off!" Tina yelled getting to her feet. Gnarlak didn't hold back his menacing chuckle, which caused Corin to huff as well. Grabbing her wand from Newt could only guess whereโ€”Ready to block and defend whatever was happening.

Corin hardly took in Jacob's presence beside her as he strode right on up to the Goblin and socked him straight in the jaw, knowing him backwards. "Reminds me of my foreman." He explains, but no explanation was required at all.

Instead Corin dove from Auror's spells, but also in an attempt to search for Pickett. The little fellow didn't waste any time to scramble out of the Goblin's hold and seek shelter.

"I've got him!" Corin screams, her hands cupping the little fellow from the fight. And while she felt the small scratches of the Bowtruckle's claws, her hands remained shut.

Newt helped her to the center where the three others were located, he hardly gave Corin the second to breath in before the entire group Disapparates on Newt's order.
