It would be better to cover their tracks, and once that was finished, the group Disapparented off in return to the Goldstein's apartment building to have a safe location in returning inside Newt's case.

When Newt attempted to get Clyde out of the tea pot, the little creature quickly slithered from his arm, to Tina's, straight to Corin's arm like it had the first time she met the beast.

"You're quite the magnet for beasts, Corin." Jacob teased, but she still felt very strongly scared of the Occamy and of course, the little fellow seemed obsessed.

"I don't have the best track record with birds of any species."
"And Frank?"
"He's a mammal Newton don't test me." She said with her eyes closed, thankful Jacob had taken the opportunity to bring Dougal to his little swingโ€”Only to be interrupted by a very happy Ronan, the male acted like a damn pup the way he was yapping and cheering for his friend to be back.

And Corin hummed at the idea of their return.

However she quickly tensed at the feeling of Newt's hand on the spot of her back as he guided her the same way off towards the Occamy Nest. She was trying her best to keep a tentative hold on the lil baby, all while Newt supervised and kept a firm hand to block the other curious batch of Occamy babies while Corin placed Clyde down.

Soon Corin's attention turned to Tina, who still had a glint of amazement on how the case managed to have so many inhabitantsโ€”And while the Ravenclaw smiled up towards Newt. She caught the Hufflepuff being enraptured by the Auror.

Leaving her feeling discouraged close to instantly, a loud reminder that Newt was on a line of fate to end up with Ms.Goldstein.

Pickett, who had been catching a ride on Corin for the adventure following Gnarlk's demanding exchange that almost went through, caught the painful whine from Corin.

The Bowtruckle might have been apart of Newt's studies, but it was clear that the creature was in tune with human traits and clearly Corin was angry and sending signals of jealousy.

So just before Corin walked in another direction, Pickett hopped off and back onto Newt's side, giving him a shear pinch to disrupt his odd staring.

"Ouch!" He hissed, looking directing to the green culprit, holding him up on his hand as he began to walk through the enclosures as he had dozens of things he needed to do to keep the creatures thriving.

Corin had caught Newt's outburst, and seeing him hold up Pickett she smiled. The little lad deserved to start an argument, and she would surely back him up if he wanted another shoulder to sit on.

Instead she was busy giving the Niffler a few cuddles and scratches as he seemed rather calm now, his chubby webbed feet slapping her directly on her bare chest that she shivered on how cold it really was.

After being so scatterbrained about the other animals, she realized that Sterling was out in the cold climate as well and she decided to wrap him in her coat and started rubbing her hand through his fur.

"Hey hey...Did that thing get loose again?" Corin saw the look of horror on Jacob's face that it was a little humorious, and she surely needed that at the moment.

"No, most of these animals aren't used to New England weather let alone a winter climate. I don't want him to get a sick, and yes, this thing has a name too." Jacob looked rather surprised and came over to the little creature, course he hardly got that much of a look at him in between running after him in bank to watching Newt try and chase it in a jewelry store.

"What's his name?"
"Well I voted on Sterling, but Newt's had him much longer and he's in Newt's care. But he seems to be responding to the name very well." The beaked fellow was sniffing up a storm and the look of pure awe on the muggle's face elated Corin's sour mood.

"His webbed feet are precious, aside from their addiction to shiny objects, they're pretty easy on the eyes." While the muggle wasn't versed in animals regularly, he could always identify a person's passion.

And it was clear that both she and Newt were very similarโ€”Or at least in Jacob's mind. He's only met the given few witches and wizards, most in the magical law enforcement.

He decided that there was surely a difference between them, just like he had in his own world.

"So...You work with these creatures too?"
"No, not yet. I only graduated recently and haven't been able to work muchโ€”Britain's a bit of mess. America seemed like a good break." The man chuckled and gestured around.

"Guess not what you were lookin for?"
"Not exactly, and while I like planned adventuresโ€”I think I knew that wasn't going to happen when this lil fellow got lost in the bank." How was it that Jacob couldn't make friends of his own kind, and the ones he has managed to socialize with are from a whole different lifestyleโ€”World even.

Corin tried to pass off Jacob's eyes flickering off towards Queenie. "So you and Queenie?" She teased, and it instantly broke his eye contact with the witch as he stared back.

While his face was beat red he quickly found the perfect retaliation.

"You and Newt?"
"You're funny Mr.Kowalski, but I think Newt is a little distracted by his creatures to notice me."
"You're kidding...Even the girl's seen it, Cory. Go talk to him." She most certainly hid behind the Niffler, yet it was rather abrupt to see both Tina and Queenie joining them both on this side of the case.

"Is that...?" Tina questioned, seeing the rather docile Niffler caught her by surprise and Corin smiled. "I named him Sterling, though I don't know if Newt wants to keep that...He's under his care after all." The young witch offered up the pudgy creature and his paws once came up towards Queenie as well, earning him a few pats and scratches.

Course Queenie's attention escaped them all and thus she began to explore elsewhere, along with her sister as there was a few creatures that they never saw beforeโ€”The American school system surely was lower in terms of care of Magical Creatures.

Corin was trying to pluck up the courage and ask Newt if there was anything that she could do, surely he'd trust her right? Even if it was just checking the Moon Calves.

Meanwhile, Queenie had found herself staring at a photograph that didn't fit the overall asceticโ€”In fact it was of a beautiful girl, one that was smiling rather suggestively.

"Hey Newt? Who is she?" Her voice was so soft that Newt had almost missed it over the sound of Pickett's clicks and his own busying action. Yet he turned up to see what Queenie was referring to, and instant regret filled him.

"Ah...That's no one." But his mind decided to taunt him on his reaction, that certainly was too defensive over it and sweet Merlin himself was probably laughing at his denial.

Leta Lestrange was certainly not no one, not when her letters still lingered on his desk.

"Leta Lestrange? I've heard of that family. Aren't they kindaโ€”You know?" Newt hadn't spoken her name out loud nor gave her much of a reason to speak with him, but somewhere in him he could never deny to respond to her.

She simply had this hold over him, this childish and unbreakable bond that was making him feel twisted and tugged.

"Please don't read my mind." He begged, knowing it was enviable for him to stop this train of thought. Especially when his heart was making it entirely impossible to move on. It was clear that Queenie was keeping a strong amount of eye contact with him as she drank the entire story from his head.

And it was damning that his mind was almost helping her now, though Newt was hardly ever the one to speak up for himselfโ€”Though the anger and embarrassment was starting to rally and tick him off.

Even if he was trying to continue his work and ignore it.

"Sorry, I asked you not to." He said throwing another de-shelled nut into the bucket beside him

"I know, I'm sorry, I can't help it. People are easiest to read when they're hurting." She spoke in full front honesty, and while Newt appreciated that she didn't deny her actions and apologized. He would've rather left this all forgotten.

"I'm not hurting. Anyway, it was a long time ago." It was awhile ago to say the least, but with the mention of it having been addressed in front of Corin and Tina, the situation was a lot more easily dug up.

And it was clear that Queenie still hadn't pulled away.

"That was a real close friendship you had at school..." She breathed out, and a rather depressing frown graced the Hufflepuff's face.

"Yes, well, neither of us really fitted in at school, so weโ€”"
"โ€”Became real close. For years." Perhaps it was Queenie's inability to settle for another hurting soul over another, but Corin heard their conversation...The entirety of it.

Leta Lestrange, sweet mother merlin did Corin feel like seething. It didn't make sense why she felt so strongly now, these were the people of her history all mentioned in her textbook.

But if one thing was for certain, Leta was going to die at the hands of Grindawald...And her heart erupted, if it helped Newt she was going to do it.

She just needed to figure out who. Even if Leta had taken advantage of Newt in the two's youth. Corin had a personal mission to get through now.

The group slowly trickled back into the middle, and Corin shyly returned, her little creature jumping on his hind legs as he rejoiced that his friend had returned. Meaning both he and Dougal were bracing around her happy as could be.

"She was a taker...You need a giver," Queenie said, her eyes flickering off towards Corin who was trying her best to live in the moment and ignore what Newt and Queenie were speaking about.

There was no reason to hate on someone that she's never met, it wasn't logicalโ€”So why was her heart threatening to implode?

"What are you two talking about?" Tina asked, smiling off to her sister. Completely thralled with the idea of being against the law, though her high was surely going to wear down in a few hours.

"Ahโ€”Nothing." Newt said, turning back to his seed cracking, though Pickett had another few clicks on how damning he was for getting all worked up over something that actually did happen along time ago.

And it wasn't the first direction that the others pointed into the direction of Corin, so perhaps he did have a reason for his ears to burn bright red.

"School." Queenie brought up, and Newt issued her a rather thankful nod which he tagged along with. "Yeah...School." He confirmed, and Tina nodded along.

Yet it was Jacob's curiosity that brought the conversation back to life in a different way. "Did you say school? Is there a school? A wizardry school here in America?" The muggle questioned, earning him the attention of everyoneโ€”Which brought Corin closer as this was a much safer topic to involve herself in.

"Of courseโ€”Ilvermonry! It's only the best Wizarding school in the whole world!" Queenie boasted, which caused Corin to hum in a disagreeing shake of her head.

"I think you'll find the best wizarding school in the world is Hogwarts," Newt said with a rather rough throw of the next to the bucket and thus Corin nodded in agreement with a rather bright grin.

"Hogwash." Now that was uncalled for! Corin thought, it was the truth to be frank. Ilvermorny is a carbon copy of Hogwarts for goodness sakes!

"Caw caw, caw caw...Purr Purr..." Queenie announced, her foot tapping twice on the floor and Corin let out a small laugh as Tina's expression spoke of her distaste over what her sister was doing.

And Corin didn't understand until Queenie had started to sing.

"We stand as one united,
Against the Puritan.
We draw our inspiration
From good witch Morrigan.

For she was persecuted
By common wandless men.
So she fled from distant Ireland,
And so our school began.

Oh! Ilvermorny-Massachusetts!
We choo-choose it!
We choo-choose it!
The wizard school supreme.

Your castle walls, they kept us safe.
The days with you, a dream
You taught us all our magic
And now one thing's quite clear

Where'er we roam
Where'er we roam
Our one true home
Our one and own

Is Ilvermorny dear!"

The sisters sang with such sweet voices that Corin swayed her head to the beat the two created, which prompted Dougal to jump into her arm and pretend to dance.

The two men started clapping, and Dougal had certainly copied their actionsโ€”While Ronan leaned on his back legs, his hands in a begging motion as he yapped in a similar way to their claps.

"I wanna be a wizard...Does Hogwash have a song?" Corin nodded off towards Jacob sighing at his pronunciation of her school.

"Oh let's see...Hogwarts, Hogwarts, Hoggy Warty Hogwarts,

Teach us something please,

Whether we be old and bald,

Or young with scabby knees,

Our heads could do with filling,

With some interesting stuff,

For now they're bare and full of air,

Dead flies and bits of fluff,

So teach us things worth knowing,

Bring back what we've forgot,

Just do your best, we'll do the rest,

And learn until our brains all rot!"

This one surely was a bit more childish and old school with how old Hogwarts was compared to Ilvermorny, but the upbeat and silly way that she was singing to the animals more than the people around her really brought the much needed elated feeling that Newt was missing.

Especially when Leta was brought up, and truth be told. The song brightened up Corin as well, though she almost forgot she was singing in front of the rest of the group had they not issued a clap at the end.

They laughed at her startled expression and blossoming cheeks that shared her embarrassment to the group.

However the gigantic crack of thunder silenced them all, and would've caused Corin to fall to the ground had Jacob not been the one to steady her.

While Newt hurried to check on what was causing his Thunderbird to turn so vocal, going so far as to rise into the air and screeching, calling everyone's attention and even flapping its wings vigorously.

But it was his body turning from black and gold, or the eyes flashing lightning that truly hypnotized Corin. The beauty of Frank reacting to his natural instincts was what drew Newt to hurry towards the exhibit and examine the bird-filled with concern.

"What's wrong?" Corin questioned, but it was one that everyone had in their mind. "Danger. He senses danger."
