Sure enough, it recreated the dizzy spell. And while Tina did feel awful in causing the witch physical pain, it was strange that a witch attempting to cause trouble wouldn't be well versed in something so simple as Apparating.

"Come on." Tina pulled further, the two arrestees acted like children dragging their feet. But in Corin's case she was attempting to follow the hand around her arm, while Newt was rather curious with all around them.

"—Sorry, but I do have things to do, actually." He said, attempting to get out of an arrest. Which Corin rolled her eyes, if she didn't feel so scatterbrained at the fact that this is Newt's future wife she probably would've called Tina on her lack of rights being read before the rest or if by knowledge of timeline...That Tina was actually not an Auror at this point in time.

"Well, you'll have to rearrange them!" Tina explained over the loud business the muggle around them, but then another thought crossed her mind.

"What are you doing in New York anyway?" Perhaps it was invasive, nor did she have the right to ask. But her snoopy behavior caused Corin to frown and look off and away.

None of your bloody business!

"I came to buy a birthday present." Newt said flawlessly, without hesitation. Though his true reason wasn't all that bad, it was probably better left unsaid that he planned to rerelease a Thunderbird in the wild.

"Couldn't you have done that in London?" Having arrived close to the particular building, Corin's heart started to pick up. Knowing that this would hardly go well.

"No, there's only one breeder of Appaloosa Puffskeins in the world and he lives in New York, so no..." Corin had finally been let go of, though it was almost a dependent stance as Tina held Corin up and steady—But now she was upright without support, making her wobble for a moment.

The woman simply leaned into the guard and they were allowed in entry, but sure enough the magical Congress was hidden in the in-betweens of an actual muggle company.

"Hey. By the way, we closed that guy down a year ago. We don't allow the breeding of magical creatures in New York." Corin perked her lips, surprised by that heavenly factor. Perhaps it was a better bet than having another instance of Occamy eggs being sold for food on the black market.

The main lobby was horrific to the young Ms.Rosewood, having hardly ever been to the Ministry in her home country only a number of times was she met with an even duller recreation of what they attempted to have here...But also a flair that represented the roaring twenties.

In the instance of taking in her surroundings again, she missed the fact that she was cramped into an elevator with a rather talkative elf. The further the elevator had descended, the more Corin's level of sanity had fallen with it.

Sweet mother Merlin I'm screwed.

"Corin." Newt called out her name and she flinched as she turned up to look at the leaky fellow. "Don't suffer twice." Course it sounded heavily incriminating, but it was clear to her what he was trying to do.

So she did what her father taught her to do in situations that would make her heart beat erratically, close her eyes and count down from ten.

"I was there...This is a beast. No human could do what this thing is capable of, Madam President."

"Whatever it is, one thing's clear—it must be stopped. It's terrorizing No-Majs and when No-Majs are afraid they attack. This could mean exposure. It could mean war." Well that's certainly not what I wanted nor should've heard... Corin thought in the back of her mind, but the color of her cheeks had returned which caused Newton to smile in relief.

He felt rather guilty that this was his fault, it was his case having a malfunction and thus...The Niffler escaped.

Corin had taken his polite smile as a check in, and she returned it soon enough. But the lack of the conversation before them made her hyperaware of how loud her shoes were on the tiled floors.

"I made your position here quite clear, Miss. Goldstein." Madam Picquery says with a level amount of contained anger, but Corin simply categorized it as stress.

And surely the president had a right to be stressed.

"Yes, Madam President, but I—"
"You are no longer an Auror."
"No, Madam President, but—"
"Goldstein."
"There's been a minor incident—"
"Well, this office is currently concerned with very major incidents. Get out."

The President hardly allowed Tina to get a word in, and it was downright humiliating, so Tina hurried with a 'yes ma'am' before dragging the two Brits back to the elevator and up another few floors..

"See, no reason to suffer twice." "There was no possible way you could known that Scamander." Corin hissed back, and his grinned wildly as he tried to hide it.

She truly did sound like she clicked and hiss in her tone, so in record of getting out of harms way, his pinky acted on it's own free will and locked onto Corin's shaking hand. Though it was rather odd, him holding just two fingers, it was a shared comfort of escaping arrest and managing to get Sterling to safety.

But a sinking feeling about Roe rushed through her heart, something felt wrong.

"So, do you two have your wand permit? All foreigners have to have them in New York." Corin smiled and hurried into her purse to hand over the said document while Newt was scratching the back of his head in unsureness. "I made a postal application weeks ago." Tina nodded making a note on the parchment while taking down Corin's given identification.

She didn't know the witch's name as she hadn't managed to speak to her all that much when the questions were directed to Newt and his pet.

"....Scamander...And you were both just in Equatorial Guinea?" Corin shook her head and smiled. "I met Newton on the boat ride here actually." She whispered out fiddling with the buckle on her purse while Newt blushed at the use of his full name coming from her lips once more.

"I've just completed a year in the field. I'm writing a book about magical creatures." He said, gesturing to Corin to take a seat in front of the desk, and personally she needed it.

These heels are bloody torture!

"Like—An extermination guide?"
"Excuse me?!" Corin gasped, her entire persona having simply snapped at the idea of people being so bloody violent.

And just when she was about to step to the plate, Newt placed his hand firmly onto her shoulder to keep her in place. This wasn't the first time he's heard such an inhumane question.

"No. A guide to help people understand why we should be protecting these creatures instead of killing them." This left Cory to release a held breath, she was a rather fiery bird. Though Newt was starting to get the hang of taming this dragon.

He had experience with them after all.

"GOLDSTEIN!" A voice in the distance called out, and Corin turned over her shoulder to look while Newt placed his case down for a moment. Rotating his wrists as it did have a bit of weight to it. A rather protective nature took over as Corin subconsciously pull it closer and underneath her knee.

Making Newt smile to himself, she really was making him work for his mum title to the creatures.

"Where is she Where is she? GOLDSTEIN!" Corin simply blinked up towards the new fellow, well granted she was sitting down because she had no doubt that had she been standing she would've had to look down at the poor newcomer.

Tina had ducked behind her desk as though it would've helped the situation, and sure it amused to two she arrested and then decided to help with a wand permit. But it was clear that them sitting here was indication enough that she hadn't gone that far.

"Goldstein..." The man said with sheer disappointment and clear disapproval to be acting this way in front of civilians. Though Corin still thought it absolutely humorous, until she blinked in recognition.

Was he Grindlewald?

Tina, who shared her hiding spot looking all the more guilty, simply tucked her hair behind her head and offered her best greeting smile. "Did you just butt in on th investigative team again?" The woman attempted to defend herself but she was interrupted once more, sweet Merlin, even Cory was starting to feel awful for this woman.

She hardly got a word in at all.

"Where've you been?" He questioned, and the woman turned into a mumbled question as though she hadn't understood. Which caused him to turn to the two others to question.

"Me?" Newt mumbled, looking at Tina for some sort of aid but Corin turned around and smiled at Abernathy.

But in full record of predicting that this was Grindlwald.

"Honestly sir, I wouldn't be able to tell you. Not really familiar with these parts." She said, with a rather sweet cuff to her tone. Which completely blindsided him as he wasn't prepared for an accent.

However he was quick to return to his first task.

"Have you been tracking them second Salemers again?" Tina attempted to brush off his predict—Which was right, as there were the Salemers in front of the bank.

But in record of understanding, Tina lost her Auror job because she attacked them. However in the midst of Corin attempting to find the correct timeline of events, she was left unaware that Mr.Graves had stepped away from the important meeting to trail after Tina.

"Mr.Graves, sir, this is Ms.Rosewood and Mr.Scamander—He has a crazy creature in that case and it got out and caused mayhem in a bank, sir." Corin licked her lips, while she would surely agree that Sterling's behavior was crazy and erratic, she felt rather protective in hearing it come from someone else's mouth.

"Let's see the little guy." Mr.Graves proposes, and Tina relinguishes any sort of remaining privacy that Newt had by taking the case up from Corin's hand and placing it onto the table before them all.

A warranted look from Newt already suggested a few things, was it illegal to have this many creatures at once?

Would they all be stepping inside?

Was these breeding creatures?

However Corin had been caught in a whirlwind of thoughts that she had missed the reveal of the brief case, she was already set to go and step in it with everyone that she was rather lost when seeing a set of pastries being featured on the desk.

Newt was absolutely horrified, not only had his life's work been taken from underneath him. But he felt readily awful that Corin placed Ronan in his care only for him to be lost.

"Tina." Mr. Graves says in sheer disappointment, and while Tina shrinks in mere disappoint. Her attention turned to Newt, who's eyes hadn't left the homemade pastries since it opened.

"Newt..." Corin whispers up to the bloke, and he snaps right on out of his trans at his name being called. He willed himself closer, not thankful that she too was feeling his anxiety but in a sense of togetherness he understood the feeling.
