Winter was  upset, frustrated, and depressed. After the whole mind control thing in the other continent was over, Moon and Winter met at Sanctuary at night. Moon told Winter that she had chosen Qibli. "Qibli is funny, smart, sweet, and caring. I love you too, but Qibli is just... my type of dragon.", Moon had said. "What!!!!!??????" "Moon, I... I love you, and Qibli will probably just dump you in a few months, and he can have any dragon he wants, but I just want you. I can't love anyone else, you are my dragon. Please stay with me.", Winter had pleaded. "I'm sorry, but that's my final decision.", Moon had said.  Winter had ran to his house in Sanctuary, tears in his eyes, but he didn't let Moon see. Why, why, why would she choose Qibli after Winter had sacrificed EVERYTHING for her?! That cactus licker Qibli sacrificed nothing,  he didn't deserve Moon, and yet he got her JUST BY BEING FUNNY!!! That wasn't fair AT ALL!!! Winter wanted to scream, he was in his own house, so he did. He tore up his picture of Moon that he kept in his room, but he didn't destroy anything else in his house, because then he might not have a house anymore. 

Winter went to sleep on his bed, still crying quietly. Then, he woke up to a knock at the door at midnight. "Winter, are you okay?", Moon's voice called. Winter didn't open the door. "Winter?", Moon called again. Winter didn't answer. Winter couldn't even look at Moon, let alone talk to her. He had never been so depressed and angry in his life.  This was all Qibli's fault! If it weren't for him, Moon wouldn't be brainwashed and manipulated into choosing him instead of Winter, her real love. 

"Winter, I know you're in there, I know you're really upset and won't talk to me, but I chose Qibli because he is the dragon that I love, and no one can change that.", Moon said. Winter opened the door.  "BUT I SACRIFICED  EVERYTHING FOR YOU, AND HE SACRIFICED NOTHING, YOU CHOSE HIM JUST FOR BEING FUNNY, HE DOESN'T DESERVE YOU! I LOVE YOU MOON, WHY DON'T YOU LOVE ME?", Winter shouted all at once. IT WASN'T FAIR, AND MOON HAD TO KNOW. "I AM GOING THROUGH SO MUCH PAIN, YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT IT'S LIKE TO BE ME, I AM ALWAYS DEPRESSED AND MISERABLE. ALL I WANT IS YOU, BUT YOU DON'T LOVE ME. YOU THINK THAT MY LIFE IS SO GREAT, SINCE I'M A PRINCE, AND I LIVE IN SANCTUARY, BUT IT'S A NIGHTMARE, AND YOU WERE MY ONE CHANCE AT HAPPINESS , BUT NOW YOU'RE GONE!"

"Winter, I had no idea.", Moon said, sympathy crossing over her face. Winter slammed the door, and went back to bed. Winter never wanted to see Moon again, not even if she left Qibli. Winter didn't feel too bad about yelling at Moon, she deserved it, and everything that he had said was true. But now, he had no one, no one loved him, his life was a misery again.
