30. Fear and Resolution

Challenge 6- Making a poem using the first and the last lines taken from my partner's poems.

Banging in my
Dreams
Banging on the door
To my room
In which I stay cocooned
In a thick and warm blanket
But listening to the noise,
I shudder inspite of the warmth.
With fear pulsing through my veins,
My hand search for a weapon.
But while I'm still searching,
The door break open
And enters the devil
With an unusual gleam in his eyes
And a smirk which guaranteed evil
Deciding to act instead of wait,
I throw my blanket away.
Trying to calm my shivers
Masking my fear,
I take a step forward,
Challenging the devil to make a move.
The moment of face-off has come
And it's the time to be strong.
Seeing the resolve strengthening in my eyes,
His eyes falter a bit.
That's a little victory
As I feel even the devil himself isn't ready.
Maybe he hadn't expected me to step up
And maybe that's what I need to do.
In that moment,
A resolution took birth
And I felt
My fear was finally
Taking a
Flight

A/N: With this poem, I end this challenge and this book. It was a great journey which helped me to write a poem each day (mostly) and also made me try some new forms in the form of challenges and suggestions from fellow campmates. Thank you everyone for being a part of this wonderful journey and for encouraging me time and again when I said I am short of ideas to write. :D
