She said with a shocked tone as Hilda had told her about her experiences when working homicide at the police station over at New York.

Hidla: Yeah and Trust me it's not pretty, but a it's a job that must be done before-

Before she could finish what she was saying her phone started to ring and she sighed knowing who it is.

Hilda: Sorry I have to take this...

She then pull her phone out of her jacket and answered and Judy started to listening in on her conversation.

Hilda: Yeah?

She answered with a slightly annoyed expression which swiftly turned into a serious one after what the person over the phone said next.

Sam(Phone): We got a body of a rhino in an alley way just south of the park.

Judy looked completely shocked when she overheard that " What kind of twisted person could do such a thing!? " she mentally questioned as Hilda sighed before replying.

Hilda: Alright make sure no one enters the crime scene, I'll be there as fast as possible.

After she said that she looked at Judy before hanging up.

Hilda: I know it's your day off but can you take me to the park.

She asked and Judy had to snap herself out of her shocked state.

Judy: Yeah! Just let me-

Hilda placed some money on the table immediately before she could pull out any of her money which surprised her.

Hilda: Pay me back later. We got to get going before the crime scene gets contaminated.

Judy was a bit confused, but she figured they didn't have enough time question and she hopped off the chair and they both start making there way to the crime scene as fast as possible.

After that she opened the door to reveal a room with a single bed with an end table next to it, a dresser with a mirror, and a desk that was barren.

(Y/N): Thanks for the room.

You said as you entered the room with your thing's and you noticed she was intently starring at the bird cage.

Nora: If I may ask, what type of bird do you own?

She asked as you placed the cage onto the dresser and you looked at her.

(Y/N): It's not actually a bird...

You then slowly removed the cloth that was covering the cage to reveal a very tiny drake that had smooth golden scales and Nora just stood there wide eyed as she was completely baffled at what she is seeing.

Nora: Are you a wizard?

She asked and you chuckled as you had forgotten how rare tiny drakes.

(Y/N): No but It's not common for someone one to own them, in fact there pretty rare to find especially this one.

You stated as you opened the cage and as soon as you did the drake flew out and landed onto your bed and Nora looked at the tiny drake with amazement.

Nora: What do they even eat?

She asked and you started to play with the tiny drake.

(Y/N): That's the interesting part, they eat minerals like Rock's and metal's...

You suddenly stopped playing with the drake and a saddened face formed across your face.

(Y/N): I got him as a gift for my wife...

As you said that the tiny drake started to cuddle your hand and Nora looked at you with a look of realisation.

Nora: Oh...

Nora didn't know what to say as yes she lost her husband, but that was because he left her with her daughter with absolutely nothing and back then she had to scrape every penny just to make sure both her and her daughter survived, however she could only imagine what you going through right now.

Nora: Im-

Before she apologize of bring up bad memories you stopped her.

You stated calmly as you rubbed the tiny drake's head with you finger and Cervina speed to the door way of the room.

Cervina: Have you seen the news?

She asked and both you and Nora shook your heads.

Cervina: There's been a murder south of the park.

Chibi Fluffy: Oh boy! Here we go!

Hilda and Judy had made it to the south end of the park and they could see that a crowd of people were there and they're currently being held off from entering the crime scene by police officer's.

Judy: Let's get in there!

Judy was about to move through the crowd of people when Hilda stopped her.

Hilda: Judy I'm only going to ask you this once, Are you sure you want to see this?

Judy then turned around to face Hilda and see nodded which a look of determination.

Judy: Yes I'm sure.

She said and Hilda sighed " I hope you are... " she thought as she remembers her first time seeing a body and the scene wasn't very pleasant to look at as the victim had his jaw removed post mortem with a circular saw, needless to say that she had a bit of trouble sleeping that night.

Hilda: Alright, but I'm warning you now it's not going to be pretty.

After she said that she begin to walk through the crowd and Judy followed her as she waved through the oddly quiet crowd and Judy noted that they had looks of horror on there faces and she swiftly found out why when the crowd of people were behind them as a Male Rhino lied on the ground lifeless as a it looked like something implied him though the heart, however his death was not a painless one as his horn was broken off and he looked like he suffered a bet down as his eye was swollen and his arm looked like it was broken ( Who could have done this?... ) she mentally questioned as a police officer tried to prevent them from entering, however a gruff looking human came over.

Sam: Let them through.

The officer sighed and let Hilda and Judy through.

Hilda: Has the victim been Identified yet?

Sam nodded and looked over at the body and Judy was a bit shocked that they weren't even fazed.

Sam: Judging from his ID the victim's name is Thomas Montague and he worked as an engineer at Ark Tech until he up and quit his job for no reason.

Hilda pondered what Sam just said " It's no coincidence suddenly leaving his job got him killed, but the question is who did the killed him and why they killed him. " she thought and sam looked back to her.

Sam: You thinking what I'm thinking?

Hilda sighed as Sam had already beaten her to the punch as Judy began to look around searching for anything they might have missed.

Hilda: Yeah, This guy must have some info on something and he was silenced for it.

She said as Judy found an odd detail about the victim as he was missing his pinky finger and his missing horn is nowhere to be seen which prompted her to look around and she noticed a small drops of blood going deeper into the alley.

Sam: Right let's get to work... Hopps what are you-

He stopped mid sentence as he noticed what Judy was looking at " Well I'll be damned the bunny beat us to it. " he thought as he looked back to Hilda.

Sam: Hilda you stay here and examine the victim, Me and Judy are going to follow a blood trail.

Hilda sighed and nodded as she'll have to handle a curtain stubborn bull that's bound to ask questions and Judy's ears perked up with a bit of excitement despite the grim atmosphere.

Judy: Wait, You want me to help you?

She asked and Sam looked at with a raised eyebrow.

Sam: Yeah, from what I read about the Night Howler indent you have a nack for finding leads quickly and effectively, now let's get going.

After he said that he began to follow the drops of blood further into the alley way and he was swiftly joined by Judy.

Meanwhile...

Chibi Fluffy: Wait! You're gonna cut it there!?

Moosebridge(TV): There has been no reports of what exactly happened as of yet from the police about the murder of Thomas Montague and we hope to hear from the police about what happened, in other news-

The TV turned off as Nora had a bit of a shocked look.

Nora: Something like this hasn't happened in over sixty years...

She said and she began to worry about her daughter as you looked at her with a question in your mind.

(Y/N): It's been that long since someone was murdered?

You asked slightly surprised and Nora hastily nodded as Cervina had a pondering look one her face " Wow. This city really hasn't had any sort of murder like this in that amount of time? " She mentally questioned, however the sound of a door opening immediately put you on a defensive state of mind as Nora quickly walked over to the door to see her daughter who just got in the door.

Nora: Oh Nickie thank god you're back!

She then hugged her daughter which confused Nickie a bit as her mother never act's like this.

Nickie: Wow! What's happening, why are you so worried?

She asked slightly worried and just as Nora stopped hugging her you walked over to see what was going on and Nickie looked right at you with a surprised look on her face as she was expecting a Anthro wolf to be here, although she wasn't going to argue with you staying here " I don't know where he came from, but I don't mind if he's staying~." she thought as the very Wolf she was expecting walked over and Nickie looked even more confused.

Cervina: This might take a moment to explain...

A moment later...

Nickie sighed as she was just told about the situation over at the park " And to think I was just there a few hours ago. " she said in her mind as she doesn't want to alarm her mother further as she brings tea for everyone.

Cervina: So you can see why you're mother got so worried.

She said as Nora handed you a glass of tea which you took and prompted Nickie to look at you with a interesting look.

Nickie: I know this is off topic, but who's the sex devil dressed in all black~?

She asked with a slight grin and your starting to sense a theme here and sense she brought you up you might as well introduce yourself.

(Y/N): My names (Y/N).

The young vixen had a sly grin on her face as she was about to ask you a question.

Nickie: Can I ask you something?

You nodded knowing what's she was going to say.

Before she could continue Cervina stopped her from asking that question.

Cervina: That's not an appropriate question right now.

She swiftly stated and Nickie had a look of confusion as Cervina doesn't normal do that as she remembers her not being this protective about someone else's relationship status and you decided to answer her question anyway seeing as it's not healthy to run from the truth even if it hurts.

(Y/N): It's fine Cervina...

She had a look of doubt on her face as hitting on a man trying to grieve is a bit rude, but she wasn't going to argue seeing as you were willing to answer Nickie's question.

(Y/N): As for your question Nickie, yes I am single...

You said with a hint of sadness and Nickie started to get a sneaking feeling of regret.

(Y/N): But I used to be married to a woman that died not to long ago...

" Oh shit... I'm flirting with a man that's grieving over his wife's death... " Nickie thought as she started to realise why her friend tried to stop her.

Nickie: What happened?

She asked and you looked down at the ground.

(Y/N): She died in a brake in gone wrong and she was shot to death by the intruders...

You said with sadness in your heart as you had to recall the your wife's death and you felt sick about having to twist the truth about your wife's murder to Nickie and Nora who were about to give there condolences when Cervina stopped them once again.

Cervina: I think that's enough questions... Let's give him some space...

Nickie and Nora noticed you had your hand's start to tremble and tears begin to fall and the both left feeling sorry for your loss and Cervina left as well, however unlike the two foxes that think you crying she knows why you hand's were shaking as you had a look of pure rage across your face as tears roll down your face.
