I slowly woke up to Ruby cuddling me. I looked at the scroll Ozpin gave me and it said the time was 7:30. I was about to go back to sleep cuddling Ruby, but before I could drift back to sleep there was a knock at the door. I slowly shift my way out of the bed and Ruby's grasp and grab my crutches and make my way to the door. I quietly open it and on the floor there was a box. I didn't really guess what it was so I set my self in a chair and open the box to see.

(The wood decoration is blue and more metallic like while the silver side is Red) (Can you guys tell I love the color blue)

I slowly got up after I slipped it on. I stumbled for a moment before I got my footing. I walked back and forth to get the feel of it. Surprisingly it doesn't weigh that much same for the arm. I do my normal workout which consisted of 20 push ups, and 20 curl ups. Now all I have left is a run since I'm not in my normal place I run I'll just run around Beacon once. I leave the dorm after I slip into something more comfortable to run in.

Timeskip Ruby's Pov

I slowly open my eyes to the sun shining in to the room. I rise up and notice that Y/n wasn't in my bed and his crutches were up against the desk and there was a box on the desk as well. I got out of bed and went to the bathroom to put on my uniform for Beacon. When I walked back in Y/n was back in the dorm with his new leg on and was out of breath.

Y/n: (Quietly) Woo Beacon is much bigger than I thought.

Ruby: (Quietly) Y/n where were you when I woke up?

Y/n: (Quietly) I was giving my new leg a test run, Ruby. Now if you excuse me I'm going to shower cause I smell like a wet dog.

Y/n's Pov

I was about to walk in the bathroom before Ruby said.

Ruby: (Quietly) Wouldn't you still be considered a wet dog if you take a shower.

I chuckle as I enter the bathroom as I can hear her laugh at her own joke.

Mimi Timeskip

I walk out of the bathroom wearing my Beacon uniform and saw that Yang and Blake were up and in their uniforms as well. Ruby having her whistle out as Weiss was slowly getting up.

*whistle*

Weiss fell out of bed as I laugh at the situation.

Ruby: Good morning team RWBY!

Weiss: What is wrong with you?

Ruby ignores her question and continues.

Ruby: Now that you're awake we can officially begin our first order of business.

Weiss: Excuse me.

Yang had a bunch of things in her arms.

Yang: Decorating!

Weiss: What!?

Blake: (with suitcase in hand) We still have to unpack. (The contents of said suitcase fell out.) Aaaand clean.

Y/n: Well I don't really have anything to unpack so I'm just going to head to class.

They just flat out ignored me.

*whistling*

Weiss fell since Ruby went up to her face and blew the whistle. I leave the dorm and head over to our first class Professor Port. As I was walking away I heard three people say banzai.

Y/n: To be honest they should have waited to unpack and stuff or get up earlier.

I jog over to were the classroom and walk in the door to see Port setting up diagrams of different Grimm on the board.

Y/n: Is this Prof. Port's class?

He turned towards the door to look at me.

Port: Why yes it is. Please take a seat class will begin in ten minutes.

I went to the front of the class and sat down in first seat of the row.

Nine minute timeskip

I finished jotting down notes about the Grimm he put on the board as the doors to the room swung open to reveal my team and team JNPR.

Ruby: We made it.

Port: Why yes you did now quick take a seat I'm about to begin my lesson.

Jnpr took the seats opposite side as team RWBY sat next to me going from Ruby next to me, as Weiss sat next to her, then Blake, then Yang.

Port: Monsters! Deeeemons... Prowlers of the night! Yes, the creatures of Grimm have many names, but I merely refer to them as prey! Ha-ha!

The joke he made was horrible and I could hear a faint sound of a cricket.

Port: Uhhhh... And you shall too, upon graduating from this prestigious academy! Now, as I was saying: Vale, as well as the other three kingdoms, are safe havens in an otherwise treacherous world! Our planet is absolutely teeming with creatures that would love nothing more than to tear you to pieces! And that's where we come in. Huntsmen! Huntresses... (gives Yang a wink, which she groans uncomfortably at) Individuals who have sworn to protect those who cannot protect themselves! From what, you ask? Why, the very world!

Student: (raises his fist) Ayyyy-yep! (stands like this for a moment as everyone looks at him strangely before sitting down, embarrassed)

Port: That is what you are training to become. But first: A story. A tale of a young, handsome man... Me! When I was a boy...

My interest slowly faded since it was literally just a glory story about himself. I looked over to Ruby to see she is currently drawing on a piece of paper. I decided to balance a pencil on my finger since I finished with my notes.

Port: ...Despite smelling of cabbages, my grandfather was a wise man. 'Peter', he told me...

Ruby started giggling at something I looked over her shoulder to see a ball with limbs and a head with stink lines coming off it called professor poop. I chuckle at it as Yang and Blake tried to not laugh to hard while Weiss just looked annoyed.

Port: Ehem.

We all returned our attention to Port as I let the pencil fall off my finger and into my hand.

Port: In the end the beowolf was no match for my sheer tenacity. And I returned to my village with the beast in captivity and my head held high. Celebrated, as a hero. The moral of this story? A true huntsman must be honorable.

I noticed Ruby balancing a apple on a book on top of a pencil.

Port: A true huntsman must be dependable.

Ruby was scratching behind my wolf felt amazing.

Port: A true huntsman must be strategic... well educated... and wise!

I noticed Weiss was shaking in anger.

Port: So who among you believes themselves to be the embodiment of these traits?

Weiss raised her hand immediately as he finished his question.

Weiss: I do sir.

Port: Well, then, let's find out! Step forward, and face your opponent!

Weiss leaves for a bit to change into a more fitting outfit to fight in and grab her weapon. After a bit she came back wearing her combat skirt and had her weapon in hand. She got into a fighting stance once she faced the cage that has a boarbatusk in it.

Yang: Go Weiss!

Blake: (Waving RWBY flag) Fight well!

Y/n: Good luck, Weiss.

Ruby: Yeah represent team RWBY!

Weiss: Ruby, I'm trying to focus.

Ruby: Oh, sorry.

I lean over to Ruby's ear.

Y/n: (Whispering) She'll get nicer.

Port raises his blunderaxe.

Port: Alright. Let the match, begin.

He swings down and cuts off the lock releasing the boarbatusk as it charges at Weiss. She dodges out of the way slashing its side doing nothing to it.

Port: Haha, wasn't expecting that were you?

Ruby: Hang in there Weiss.

She speeds towards the Grimm and it catches her weapon in between its tusks.

Port: Bold new approach. I like it!

Ruby: Come on Weiss, show it who's boss!

This distracts Weiss long enough for the boarbatusk to disarm her and throw her weapon behind itself and knock her back.

Port: Oho, now what will you do without your weapon?

It charges at Weiss again she barely manages to dodge out of the way as it slams into the desk and fall to its side. She makes a break for her weapon and grabs it.

Ruby: Weiss, go for the belly! There's no armor underneath-

Weiss: Stop telling me what to do!

Her outburst towards Ruby obviously made Ruby sad so I started to hug her which didn't help much. The Grimm jumped up and rolled into a ball and started spinning like a certain hedgehog and dashed towards Weiss. She summoned a glyph to block it and it bounced off to its back she took this opportunity to launch herself and impale it through the stomach killing it.

Port: Bravo, bravo. It appears we are indeed in the presence of a true huntress in training. I'm afraid that's all the time we have for today. Be sure to cover the assigned readings and stay vigilant. Class dismissed.

Weiss stormed out of the classroom.

Jaune: Sheesh what's her problem?

Ruby starts to chase after her and I start to follow behind but not as fast. When I reach them I could tell the conversation- more like temper tantrum for Weiss was ending.

Weiss: Not a team led by you. I've studied and trained. And quite frankly, I deserve better. Ozpin made a mistake.

I hear her walking away. I walk up to Ruby.

Y/n: That honestly could have gone better.

Ruby: Is she right, did Ozpin make a mistake?

Y/n: No he didn't. Ruby most leaders aren't made great in a day. They learned every strategy, every weakness, and every defense. While some are natural born leaders like how you and Jaune did in initiation, you came up with a plan that killed the nevermore while he did it with the deathstalker. Besides it's only been one day she shouldn't expect you to act like a leader when you're made one. But when made a leader it's a badge you constantly wear so you are the example that people follow you look at when it comes to situations that they face.

Ruby: (Wiping her eyes smiling) Thanks Y/n.

Y/n: No problem Rosebud.

We started walking to our next class.

Ruby: Y/n am I a good leader in the future?

Y/n: Yes you are, you just have to put the work into it.

Ruby: Really but what about the date you had in the first version or Weiss practically apologizing to me at night.

Bacca: The date in the first version was ment for the confession and Weiss, Y/n, is already asleep when she gets there.
