We were in combat class watching Pyrrha easily take on team CRDL and was victorious.

Glynda: And that's the match.

Cardin: Lucky shot.

He passes out.

Glynda: Well done Ms. Nikos. You should have no problem qualifying for the tournament.

Pyrrha: Thank you professor.

Glynda: Alright, now I know that's a tough act to follow but we have time for one more sparring match. Any volunteers? Miss Belladonna? You've been rather docile for the past few classes. What don't you-

Mercury: I'll do it.

Glynda: Mercury is it? Very well. Let's find you an opponent. 

Mercury: Actually I wanna fight her.

He points to Pyrrha.

Pyrrha: Me?

Glynda: I'm afaid miss Nikos has just finished a match, I'd recommend you choose another partner.

Pyrrha: No, it's fine. I'd be happy to oblige.

They start fighting I wasn't paying to much attention to be honest. I was thinking it would be good to take a chance against him but I still need to work on my swordplay. 

Ruby: Your friend's doing pretty good. I'm Ruby by the way.

Emerald: Emerald.

They continue fighting till she used her semblance against his weapon.

Mercury: I forfeit.

Pyrrha: You, don't even want to try?

Mercury: What's the point? You're a world renowned fighter, we're obviously leagues apart.

Glynda: In that case, Pyrrha Nikos is the victor of the match, again. Next time you may want to think a little harder before choosing an opponent.

Mercury: I'll be sure to do that.

Glynda: That is all for today, and remember the dance is this weekend, but you all have your first mission on monday. I will not accept any excuses.

We all leave and started heading to the dorm with Blake slowly falling behind. Then Sun approached her.

Sun: Hey Blake you uh, doing ok?

Blake: I'm fine.

Sun: So I hear there's this dance going on this weekend. Sounds pretty lame but, you and me I'm thinking not as lame?

Blake: What?

Sun: The dance, this weekend, you wanna go or what?

Blake: I don't have time for a stupid dance. I thought you of all people would get that.

She walks off. Ruby looked down sad till I started tickling her. 

Y/n: There's my happy girl.

Ruby: Stop it Y/n.

We make it back to the dorm.

Blake: You what?

Y/n: You heard her.

Ruby: We want you to go to the dance.

Blake: That's ridiculous.

Yang: Blake we're worried about you. This investigation is starting to mess with your head.

Weiss: You can't sleep, you hardly eat, and to be honest, your grades have been suffering.

Blake: You think I care about grades? People's lives are at stake.

Y/n: And you are putting your own life at stake by not taking care of yourself. You need sleep or you may just fall face first to the ground due to the lack of sleep.

Yang: We know and we're all still trying to figure out what Torchwick is up to. Without Y/n telling us what he's planning. 

Ruby: Thanks to you and Sun, we know they're operating somewhere in the southeast.

Weiss: And the Schnee company record singled out Vale as the primary target for dust robberies over the last few months.

Y/n: Don't the missing Atlas military tech.

Blake: But there's still unanswered questions.

Ruby: Like Y/n said Blake, you won't be able to do anything if you can't keep your eyes open.

Yang: All we're asking is that you take it easy for one day.

Weiss: It will be fun. Yang and I will make sure of it.

Yang: Yeah. We're planning the whole event.

Blake: Excuse me?

Weiss: Team CFVY's away mission lasted longer than expected.

Yang: So Weiss and I were asked to pick up where they left off. And now we can make sure you have the perfect night.

Y/n: After that we can continue our search, fully rested.

Ruby: So what do you think?

Blake: I think this is a colossal waste of time.

She gets up and leaves us thinking.

Weiss: She can't keep going like this.

Then someone at the door starts knocking so Weiss gets up.

Y/n: I'm so recording this.

She opens the door.

Jaune: Weeeiiisss.

She slams the door. I start to chuckle from this. 

Jaune: Come on. Open the door. I promise not to sing.

Reluctantly she reopens the door. I'm on top of Ruby with my scroll out recording it all.

Jaune: I lieed. Weiss Schnee will you accompany me to the dance on... Sunday.

Weiss: Are you done?

Jaune: Yes?

Weiss: No.

She slams the door on him again.

Weiss: What?

Yang: And that is why they call you the Ice Queen.

Ruby fell but I caught her bridal style causing her to blush.

Ruby: Can you put me down Y/n?

I put her down. I was to say something but Weiss started to talk.

Weiss: All my life boys have only cared about the perks of my last name. Besides, I already have  a date in mind.

Ruby: Date or no date, none of this will matter if we can't get Blake to go.

Y/n: Speaking of the dance.

I quickly grab a bag of cookies and a bouquet of red roses from the closet.

Y/n: Would you like to go to dance with me, Petals?

Ruby: Three things, one yes, two why did you go through all this to ask me, and three how many nicknames do you have for me?

Y/n: Yay, and to answer your questions one I wanted to be romantic when I ask you and two I have a few of nicknames for you. There's my Rose, Rubes, Petals, and little Rose. How many nicknames do you have for me?

She grabs the gifts and said.

Ruby: There's my Wolf, and Wolfie. Thanks for the cookies and flowers.

Y/n: I'll get a vase from my world to put them in.

I make a portal a quickly grab a vase, filled it with water, and went back. 

Y/n: Here you go.

She puts the flowers in. I just remembered something. 

Y/n: Crap.

Yang: What is it, Y/n?

Y/n: I don't have a tux.

Weiss: I can help with that.

Y/n: Thank you Weiss.

We all got ready for bed. Everyone was asleep except me and Blake, I know why, but I couldn't fall asleep. I felt like I had whatever Dr.Oobleck has in his coffee. So I decided to read some RWBY fanfics from Wattpad(Inception). I kept reading till 6 A.M. which was when the effects of sleep set in.

Ruby's pov

I woke up ready and energetic. I look at Y/n and see him asleep but with his phone from his world on his chest I turn it on and see he was reading I look at the title and it said RWBY Ruby Rose x male reader. Before I could read it the device died, so I wake him up. 

Ruby: Y/n wake up.

I start shaking him.

Y/n: What time is it?

Ruby: 8 o'clock.

Y/n: Welp looks like I'm going through the day with two hours of sleep.

Ruby: What exactly were you reading last night.

Y/n: Umm...

Ruby: Was it dirty?

Y/n: No!

Ruby: Good. But I'm curious about why you were reading something about everyone.

Y/n: I was bored and I couldn't sleep.

Weiss: What are you two dolts talking about?

Ruby: Oh nothing.

Y/n pov

After that we get ready me and Weiss went get a tux for me rather quick. We got back she went straight to the place the dance will be at and I went to put the tux back in the dorm. Before I left I remembered something real important. I quickly called Ozpin.

Ozpin: Is there something you need Mr. L/n?

Y/n: Yeah I need you to put extra guards around the CCT tower the night of the dance one of her pawns will try something.

Ozpin: Consider it done.

I hang up and walk where the dance will be and sat with a sad Ruby. I was trying to fall asleep. I was leaning on Ruby's shoulder while she was playing with my wolf ears. But I was jolted awake when Weiss slamed two pieces of cloth that looked the same.

Weiss: I need you two to pick a table cloth.

Y/n: *Yawn* They both look the same.

Ruby: Yeah, aren't they both the same?

Weiss: I don't even know why I asked.

Weiss leaves and Yang starts to come to you setting down a massive amp. Making the whole table and chairs jump up.

Y/n: I don't know why I came here if I can't sleep from the noise.

Ruby: Because you wanted to spend time and cheer me up.

Y/n: I think that's about right.

Yang: So have you picked out a dress yet?

Ruby: Who cares about the dance if Blake isn't going?

Yang: Oh don't worry. She's coming. Weiss, I thought we agreed no doilies.

Weiss: If I don't get doilies you don't get fog machines.

Neptune: Your dance is gonna have fog machines?

Weiss: We were thinking about it.

Sun: You ladies all excited for dress up?

Ruby: Yeah right.

Yang: Laugh all you want I'll going to turning heads tomorrow night.

Weiss: What are you two wearing?

Sun: Uh, this.

Neptune: Ignore him, for he knows not what he says.

Sun: I may have moved to Mistral, but grew up in Vacuo. It's not exactly a shirt and tie kind of place.

We give him a 'do you think we're stupid' look.

Y/n: No shit Sherlock. Before you punch me Yang, remember I'm going off of 2 hours of sleep. Sorry Petals, for cursing in front of you.

Ruby: It's ok.

Sun: So, what does Blake think of all this? She still being all ya know Blake-y.

Y/n: No duh.

Weiss: Obviously.

Ruby: I still can't think of a way to change her mind.

Y/n: I'm quite sure Yang has a plan that will work.

Yang: He's right just trust me Blake will be at the dance tomorrow.

Timeskip 

I was outside a classroom when I heard Yang yelling.

Yang: No, you don't understand. If Roman Torchwick came through that door, what would you do?

Blake: I'd fight him.

Yang: You'd lose.

Blake: I can stop him.

Yang: You can't even stop me.

I couldn't hear somethings even with my enhanced hearing.

Yang: And if you feel like coming out tomorrow, I'll save you a dance.

I see Yang come out of the classroom. 

Y/n: Hey Yang.

Yang: Oh hey Y/n you hear all that.

Y/n: Yeah also I think that's one of the main scenes that people from my world ship you two.

Yang: What are you talking about?

Y/n: You and Blake being a couple.

As I say that I see her blushing.

Yang: W-Why would w-we be a couple.

Y/n: I saw that blush, you should tell her how you feel at the dance.

Yang: O-ok.

Y/n: See you around.

I leave and head to the dorm to see Ruby on her bed.

Ruby: Hey Y/n where have you been?

Y/n: Oh just talking to Yang.

Ruby: What was it about?

Y/n: Nothing important.

Ruby: Ok.

I yawn.

Ruby: You still tired.

Y/n: Yes.

Ruby: Let's go ahead and sleep so we have a early start on the day tomorrow.

Y/n: Ok Petals.

We both get changed into our sleep clothes and got in the bed with Ruby cuddling with me.

It was time for the dance and i was dressed in my tux waiting for Ruby.

The door opens to reveal Ruby in her dress having trouble standing in the heels.

Y/n: You look beautiful Petals but I thought I told Weiss to give you flats so you could walk easily.

Ruby: Thanks and I was telling her the same thing but she insisted.

Y/n: Come on then.

We make it to the dance. On the way Ruby tripped a few times but I caught her so after the third time I carried her bridal style.

Yang: You two look great together.

Ruby: Can we have a serious talk about how Weiss fights in these?

Y/n: I'm curious myself.

After awhile we see Yang and Blake dancing before giving her to Sun.

Yang: I told you she would come.

Weiss: Mission accomplished.

Ruby: What do we do now?

Y/n: Have fun and speaking of. Let's go dance.

Ruby: But I don't know how.

Y/n: I'll show you how.

We danced a bit with her stepping on my feet a few times. So we go sit me hoping to get feeling in my feet.

Y/n: I wish that Beowolf bit my legs off instead.

Ruby: I said sorry every time it happened.

Ozpin: Not enjoying yourselves.

Y/n: Oh not that we are it's just Ruby doesn't know how to dance all that much.

Ruby: I told you I'm not a dansey, pansey, dancey girl.

Ozpin: Well you can't spend your entire life on the battlefield. Even if you wanted to.

Ruby: Yeah that lesson's been floating around a lot lately.

Ozpin: If you think about it fighting and dancing aren't so different. Two partners interlocked.

Y/n: But one wrong move on the ballroom leads to a swollen foot.

Ruby: Or a twisted ankle.

Ozpin: It's not everyday that friends are able to come together like this.Time has a way of testing our bonds. But it's nights like these that can help keep them stronger than ever. Nights like these are ones we'll never forget.

Y/n: Come on Rubes lets head to the punch bowl.

Ruby: Ok.

We head over to the punch bowl and got some punch.

Jaune: I see you're hiding at the punch bowl too.

Ruby: Yup.

Y/n: I'm here cause my feet hurt but it is getting better.

Jaune: To the socially awkward.

Ruby: Sorry things didn't work out with Weiss.

Y/n: Yeah she said she had a date in mind but came alone.

Jaune: Hold my punch.

He hands Ruby his punch.

Y/n: Ruby please don't-

She drinks his punch.

Y/n: Nevermind. Hey I'm gonna be right back.

I quick walk to the balcony with a dress for Jaune.

Jaune: Only one thing left to do.

Y/n: Yeah put on a dress.

Jaune: How did you know.

Y/n: I was going to get some more training from Pyrrha when I heard your little bet. Here you go.

I make my way to Yang and Ruby.

Ruby: Hey where did you go Y/n?

Y/n: Oh no where really.

Yang: I think we really need this.

Ruby: Yeah and you did a great job planning it, too.

Yang: Aww thanks. It wasn't easy though Weiss did a lot too. *sighs* Tomorrow is back to work.

Ruby: I'm sure we can handle whatever gets thrown at us. Except for that.

Y/n: I just won 500 Lien.

Ruby: How?

Y/n: I made a bet with Nora on Jaune wearing a dress to the dance, it's great knowing the future.

Yang: Now that's just evil, I like it.

Nora: I lost a bet.

I start laughing.

Ruby: I'm surprised you would do that.

Y/n: What I can't have fun with my knowledge every now and then. Yang have you talked to Blake yet.

Yang: I'm going to soon.

Y/n: Come on Rubes lets get some fresh air.

We start heading to the door before we left I recorded team JNPR dancing. After that we left and Ruby noticed someone.

Ruby: Y/n I saw someone going across the rooftops.

Y/n: Ok lets follow them.

We make it to the CCT tower and notice some guards knocked out.

Ruby: Let's call our lockers.

Y/n: On it.

Our lockers land and I grabbed my shotgun and W/n. 

We head inside and noticed more unconscious guards. We head up the elevator.

Ruby: Hello? Is anyone there?

Y/n: Come out I have your scent.

She gets up.

Ruby: You know, it's not a masquerade party. So why don't you take off that-

She launches glass shards at us, Ruby blocked them for me. I charge at her with W/n out while Ruby was shooting at her. She blocks them and jumps back and fired some explosive arrows at me. We hear the elevator open Ruby turned around and Cinder threw some dust at me. I close my eyes and it hits me and screwed with my nose.

Y/n: I can't get her scent dang it.

Ironwood: What's going on here? 

We look back where Cinder was and she's not there. We explain what happened to him.

Ironwood: You may head back to the party or dorm.

Y/n: Come on Rubes maybe in the morning I can smell your sweet scent again.

Ruby: Ok lets head to dorm I'm beat from dancing and fighting. 

We make it to dorms when we were going through the halls I started hearing some interesting sounds.

Y/n: Hey Rubes why don't we sleep in my bed in my world. 

Ruby: Why is that?

Y/n: I hear people having 'fun' in one of the dorms. *thoughts* Dang Yang I didn't think you would go that far.

Ruby: Oh ok.

I make a portal back home and I write a note saying 'Me and Ruby are sleeping in my world tonight since some people wanted to have 'fun' tonight in one of the dorms.' I make a small portal ,big enough for an arm, to the dorm and laid it on Ruby's bed.
